I am repairing water damaged floor in my RV and almost all of the interior furnishings are put together with staples. I had to disassemble quite a bit of these furnishings to replace the floor. This stapler has been fantastic during the rebuild. Very powerful and easy to load staples! No jams or misfires. It has been top-shelf! Looking forward to many more projects coming out of my shop. I also see this being a favorite tool in the shop. This tool experience will have me adding more Ryobi power tools to the shelfs and tool boxes.

We have had 3 of these staplers. The firt one lasted for almost 3 years with constant use in a High School. Numbr 2 lasted only few months. We are on number 3 we shall see how long it lasts. It seems to have enough power being 18 vots but the plastic parts with age tend to become brittle and fall apart. It is very easy to use though and loading does not take any time at all. It is not especially heavy so working above your head all day is not laborius. Like I said the only problem is the plastic parts inside the stapler getting brittle and stopping the stapler from working. Otherwise it is GREAT. I would buy it again to have the freedom to be be away from a compressor.

Only one repair with it so far. Wish we had something like this stapler back when we installed soffit systems with nails! Purchased for replacing aluminum soffit panels for neighbors after Hurricane Ian. Unit has quite a heft to it, even before adding a battery. The stapler also has good power. I have it turned all the way down, and depth set to shallow. Drives through aluminum soffit into 2 x 4 leaving the 1-inch staples a tiny bit proud. Exactly what I want. Pros will like this model.

Bought this stapler about 2 years ago from HD. Worked great at first but over time it started driving staples more and more sporadically. I had to "dry" staple a few times before it would start to actually drive the first staple. (Machine would make noises, but no staples were driven.) I tried several internet recommended solutions (since the Ryobi troubleshooting guide for the P360 is basically useless), like oiling the driver and the driver track ... NO avail. At the end I took it apart and found out that the staple driver blade would not even advance (wouldn't shoot) with ZERO load / resistance on it. Of course ALL of this started to happen as soon as the warranty expired. I like Ryobi tools in general and have a whole collection of them. Of course ALL of this started to happen as soon as the warranty expired. I like Ryobi tools in general and have a whole collection of them. However, their P360 stapler is by far the "worst" of the lot. Maybe they have upgraded their internal systems by now, but I am not holding my breath. It is kind of amazing how many "refurbished" P360s are being offered for sale!Bottom line: You will probably get two years of work out of the unit. However, realize that the performance of the tool starts to decline much earlier with intermittent driven staples which gets worse over time. At the end you will have to try to staple up to 50 times with the machine making noises until a staple finally will fires ... and I don't have this much time to do a job! So my P360 is being "retired"!
I own several airstrikes. Angled finish nailer, brad nailer, and this one. This narrow crown stapler P361 is lightweight but short on power. I tested it on redwood fence board (board on board) and with the power turned on to max, it could not completely drive a 1 3/8" long stainless staple into the redwood. The crown stuck out about 1/16th inch out of the wood. It should drive it completely into the wood so that the surface is under to the top of the wood. So it is about 1/8th" too short. If you get it, you probably need to use shorter staples. Other than that, it works fine.
This tool is supposed to be able to be able to drive 1-1/2” narrow crown staples, but there’s no way it will do that. I’m driving that length staple into cedar, and they’re not going in all the way, even when it’s adjusted to max power. I’m going to have to hammer them in.Also the manual refers to a Figure on p. 12, but that page is missing. The manual ends at p. 8.Typical Ryobi . . . underperformance and poor quality control.
Needed something to staple 1/4 plus miles of wire fencing to rail-type wood fencing. Using staples to pound all of this into the wood takes a huge amount of work and the staples fall out easily, bend when pounding on, and you definitely will hit your hand numerous time. I tried this product thinking that it would not have the power to do the job but found out very quickly how wrong I was. I am only using 1/2" length narrow gauge staples that the product uses but found out that on "medium" power (dial is right in the middle), the staples pushed the fence wire into the wood a little bit so I turned it to the lesser power setting which worked out great. The boards are all pressure treated and vary in age from 1-25 years old. Nothing is perfect as it would be great if a single stapler could do ever size of staple but I guess this is not possible. Again, this one uses 1/4" wide staples only. When you get done, you can barely see the staples which makes thing look very neat. Be sure to purchase the staples for use outdoors.
I have a growing collection of Ryobi 18v items. Since I likely won't use a crown stapler a whole lot, I opted for the Ryobi for almost half the price of the Milwaukee. The double trigger on this wasn't intuitive and it tool a little while to figure out how to not cause an error with it.It dig great overall. My biggest complaint is the ergonomics, my hands aches when stapling for than just a 20 second stints, which i haven't experienced with Milwaukee tools.
The Ryobi crown stapler worked alright. The airstrike charging between staples on the rapid fire setup was not fast enough to make it much better than the manual mode, so I stuck with the manual mode for better control. Depth setting felt random. The harder you pressed down on the tool the deeper the staple went in so you need to be very precise on how hard down you press the tool in conjunction with the depth setting you use on the tool itself. Just to clarify, I went thru 900 staples in about an hour nailing down 1/4-in luan to 3/4-in OSB subfloor using 7/8-in staples.
I love the entire line of Ryobi 18v tools. This cordless stapler doesn't have enough "juice" for stapling 1.5" staples into plywood and pressboard. The staple didn't go completely flush with the wood and had to use a hammer to bang the staple in. I might have to step up and go with a professional level stapler in order to get the power I need. Or, get a pneumatic version and use the air compressor. It might work better with shorter staples. I'm still a big fan of Ryobi 18v tools.
