Compact, Light weight, but strong, easy to use, & easy to change the blades, with safety guard. Adjustable stabl cutting guide & you can also easily change the single of the cut. Battery operated, so no accidentally cutting the cord & I can use the battery from my other Ryobi tools. It’s a winner

I am always excited for a new tool day and adding a new Ryobi tool to my ever expanding collection. I would highly recommend this saw. It is light weight and easy to use. It was exactlyWhat I needed to cut upSome ship board form some shelves that I made for a built in cupboard. I’m sure it will come in handy for all of my future projects. Thank you Ryobi for another great product!!!

I purchased this saw as a more mobile alternative to my corded saws. Unfortunately I was instantly disappointed as the saw could barely get through simple jobs. I bought an upgraded blade to try to assist, but the saw just lacks any real power and struggled to even cut through a hollow core door - it is a joke tool! Unfortunately the first Ryobi tool I hate!Maybe go with the brushless or just spend on a different brand or corded variety.

Bought this yesterday, and used it for a cutting a few shelves, etc. today.Overall it's very nice - well balanced, the notch aligns well with the cutting edge. Haven't tried mitre cuts yet, but I'm going to try cutting 20' to 50mm depth tomorrow, so will see how that goes. One frustration is that this saw doesn't seem to be compatible with ANY straight line guide - Ryobi, or other. There is simply no notch whatsoever for running on a guide - why not, I don't know. It definitely doesn't go on the Ozito guide I bought at Bunnings.Since it won't go on any guide, next best thing is a clamped level/ruler/board to run alongside, but that means you're focusing on keeping the left edge of the saw against the straight edge, meaning the cutting blade may 'wobble' ... MoreBought this yesterday, and used it for a cutting a few shelves, etc. today.Overall it's very nice - well balanced, the notch aligns well with the cutting edge. It definitely doesn't go on the Ozito guide I bought at Bunnings.Since it won't go on any guide, next best thing is a clamped level/ruler/board to run alongside, but that means you're focusing on keeping the left edge of the saw against the straight edge, meaning the cutting blade may 'wobble' slightly with the pressure and not leave a perfectly flat edge - something that is easier to do it you were pressing straight down on the saw while running it along a saw guide's notch. Also - while it does have mitre and depth gauges, they're all pretty approximate - call it +-3 degrees or 3mm, rather than getting perfectly-fitting 45' angles. All of this leads to the Ryobi being good for rough cuts, but not utterly reliable for accuate cutting,
I bought this after wearing out my welcome borrowing my mate's 184mm Ryobi One+ brushless saw far too many times. This is my second unit, the first one I picked up had a cross threaded main bolt that fastens the blade in place but Bunnings happily replaced it. This unit has been great. It's noticeably lighter and quieter than the bigger brushless version, cutting depth is adequate for anything I'll need to cut in the foreseeable future, and I like the blade being on the left hand side of the motor as opposed to the typical right hand side. I find it easier to eye my cutting line. I've cut long lengths of high density 30mm MDF and I didn't find it lacking in power at all. I'm happy and should have bought this much sooner.
This is the first power saw I've bought and it's made my current project so much easier. I'm working with 17mm plywood and the saw has no problems with long rip/cross cuts. The saw blade is on the left (most are on the right), so it makes watching the blade and keeping to a line easy for a right-hander.I've used a guide (spirit level) and a square to keep cuts straight and they work really well together. Some recommendations if you buy this saw;1. Get a decent sized battery. My current One+ battery was for a drill and only 1.5Ah - go for 4Ah or more if you want power and some time between charges!2. Reduce the saw blade depth to match your wood for better performance. There's no point leaving the blade down for a 55mm cut if you're only cutting through 17mm ... MoreThis is the first power saw I've bought and it's made my current project so much easier. I bought the saw 6 months ago for door sizing. (Cutting house doors down to size). We have 5ah batteries. Really surprised how much work it will do between charges. The thin carbon tipped blade is ideal for neat, and fast results. Very easy to see and follow cutting lines. The saw blade cuts through doors effortlessly. A really good investment.I would recommend this product.
If you don't have a circular saw and want one, this review may be helpful to you, especially if you already have other Ryobi ONE+ tools.I'm writing as someone who has used this saw to learn to saw properly and safely. When setting up and lining up the guiding wood, there is no battery so no chance of starting up by mistake. Also setting the depth gauge to the minimum helps prevent mistakes. As an aside, a smaller battery, such as a 2.5ah is lighter than a 5.0ah and still makes plenty of cuts. I have both and use the 2.5ah as the preference. There is a Ryobi video of using circular that shows using the guide rail, or the guide wood. Please watch. It was the lightbulb moment for me in straight cutting.I have used the saw to cut many metres 9mm plywood sheets for lining a cabin. The cabin is remote with only 12 volt power so cordless is essential. The cuts were mm accurate over 2400mm and straight using the method above. It is my favourite Ryobi tool at the moment because it has made lining the cabin possible.
Bought one today because I am a big fan of ryobi tools. Tried several times to cut a piece of 10mm MDF. I am using a clamped guide. The saw keeps locking up. Somehow works a bit better without guide but I feel it stalls as soon as I cut more than the length of the saw. I even got a friend who is a lot handier than me to try it and he came to same conclusion. I find this hard to fathom as it is supposed to cut up to 52 mm. I am going back to Bunnings and ask them to try it.
I bought first in 2019. I notice that saw went trouble and hot motor problem, because timber is 45mm thickness and 4.5m length. I leave for 30 mins let cool down, Then it won't run. I went to the Bunnings replace a warranty of same products. Later 8 months, I noticed that it isn't work. BUT I press hold and my fingers hold and swipe on the disc been start slow & weak motor. OMG !! It's failure product. I went to Bunnings for compliant and replaced with extra paid a brushless circular saw. I never again this product. But other saw blade disc is perfect and easy cut.If you have small job cut less than 30mm thickness is okay. However 45mm or more thickness are BIG problem a motor will failure and waste replace it. I don't think Ryobi didn't TEST properly before sale ... MoreI bought first in 2019. I notice that saw went trouble and hot motor problem, because timber is 45mm thickness and 4.5m length.
