It works just fine WITH A 2.5a 18v Ryobi battery so I can't for the life of me understand why they make this come with a 2.0a battery? (So seperate charger and battery power 0ack to ALL the other Ryobi stuff!)The 2.0a only lasts 15 mins then you're charging, the 2.5a seems to last 30-45mins! So I have no idea why Ryobi has done this. If you have the other Ryobi battery already I recommend, otherwise don't spend the money on it because the 2a battery dies out in no time!Otherwise it works as it should!

This trimmer is just boss when it comes to taming hedges. Smaller model failed and Bunnings kindly refunded so I bought this one. Was fantastic on westringia, correa and lavender.

I was really surpised with the hedge trimmer, beyond my expecations. The most impressive attribute of the trimmer it is powerful. I use diffreent Ryobi product, never had a hedge trimmer. Always wanted one, and when the time came, I was wondering if it is the correct choice to buy the batter hedge trimmer. I can now say that it was a great choice, easy to use and deliver such a beautiful result. Maked a huge diffrence to the garden.

Bought this as a replacement for my old mains power hedge trimmer which gave up the ghost. This cordless one is so much better! It’s reasonably light and easy to manoeuvre. I don’t have a lot of greenery to trim so didn’t use the full charge of the battery. The battery recharge was pretty quick anyway. I loved not having a hazardous power cord to worry about. I was able to use the tool well with my arthritic hands with just a little soreness afterwards.
Have used the trimmer once so far and it was great. Battery lasted for my whole 'trimming session', motor strong and blades were sharp, cutting through most of the branches I tried. Charging time seems reasonable, will be interesting to see how long the battery lasts with infrequent use
Great little hedger for those intermediate jobs. Trims fast and neatly and stores away easily. I’d go for a longer lasting battery if you have a bigger job but it lasts for me to trim both front fence line hedges and 2 low line in my front garden without recharging. Would highly recommend this product
Heard all the raps on Ryobi and thought we'd give a try and bought the hedge trimmer for our gardening team - they all love it- easy to use, versatile - when the trimmer needs to be used they now have a roster - not professional to be arguing on site over who's doing the hedging. We're now eyeing off our next Ryobi gardening tool purchase.
I bought this Hedge Trimmer a week ago and simply love it. I used to trim my hedges and other plants with clippers and it took so long. Now I’m breezing though the garden in no time. The Hedge Trimmer is easy to operate, is light in weight and easy to manoeuvre. It leaves the hedges and other plants looking so neat. Best thing I’ve bought for a long time. Sorry I didn’t treat myself to one of these great tools long ago!
Once again Ryobi have made me a very happy customer. The trimmer is light, really, really easy to start and use. The blade is a great length for the trimming I need to do around home. That daunting job that I keep putting off has now become easy and one I enjoy - although I do need to get better at keeping things straight - but that's certainly skill building - not anything to do with this great little trimmer.
First go was surprised that it's so good! nice and light took 2hrs complete the gardening no stop hedging very happy with the Ryobi one +18v 40cm 2.0 ah cordless hedge trimmer kit
