I've had this line trimmer for over a year now and I am extremely happy with it.Does thick grass with ease and has almost the power of a petrol trimmer.Loading the line is very quick and easy.It is also great for trimming edges on pathways.The battery lasts long enough to do my whole yard but I have a spare just in case it doesn't.I thoroughly recommended this trimmer.

Looks and performs like any other usual machine.I did contemplate getting the $119 Ryobi one but I found the weight was all down near the line. I felt this would get tiring. This product has the weight near the battery, up near where both your hands are which supports the machine and is easier to glide around the lawn.I couldn’t believe how difficult it was becoming to be to find an all round product that met all needs, 100% recommended

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made!!Was wary of battery powered tools like this and didn’t look as heavy duty as fuel models. This however cuts through some serious grass, is light, easy to use and re thread the spool etc. low maintenance. No more mixing fuel, tipping out old fuel, priming, chokes, pulling cords….. snap in a battery and click a button and you’re away

Got fed up with 2 stroke trimmers and the lack of replacement parts. Had a Ryobi 5Ah battery already so it was a good incentive to jump on the electric Ryobi train.I originally considered the cheaper model, but feeling this one in store felt like a proper tool vs the other feeling like a kids Toy. Everything about it feels really well built.I've got a pretty demanding yard and this tackles it like a champ and the 5ah gives me plenty of juice to do the whole lot and run an 18v blower after too. The slower setting of the two hacks away pretty hard even at stubborn weeds.Highly recommended if you're on the fence for a new one.
Cannot go wrong for the price! Powerful unit that can be utilised with the expand-it attachments. Battery usage isn't as good as the box states but I have a couple 18v batteries so that isn't an issue. No need to buy the 32v trimmer if you have a few 18v batteries. I have used the trimmer with the pruner attachment and there was enough power to cut through some large branches. Very happy with my purchase.

Easy to use bump feed is amazing no more dirty hands and I find the line it came with is quiet durable, line trimmer myYards takes me 10 minutes where as before would take half hour atleast dealing with the old hand me down cord one I had. Spend the money grab one because honestly you won’t look back. Inherently faulty. The guard of the first one snapped in my face as the bracket is not angled correctly over the shaft and screwing the guard on causes tension on the plastic insert tab. Returned that and picked up a second. The second one while being the exact some product in the exact same batch from the exact same shelf at the same bunnings did not have bolts with flat head notches and only had bolts that required a socket wrench instead. Seems like there is zero quality control on this garbage.
I brought this a month ago, I thought it was great at first, good power and grass cutting power. But I couldn’t get the hang of it, wonder why.Finally worked out the line spins anti clock wise and spits grass back and excess cut off line at you.Rang Ryobi and was told that’s the way it works.Very terrible design, grass cuttings are pushed back at you when walking forward.A big health and safety problem, got rid of it quick smart.
Its a great trimmer, however it has 2 problems1) the battery life is very short. Runtime is only 5 minutes on a small 18v battery, so will need to factor in buying an additional one or 2 of the largest size batteries.2) the cord size width is quite small, so it chews through cord extremely quickly say a whole spool within the run time of a larger battery if you are doing any hard trimming.So whilst it works very well, you are constantly changing either the battery or refilling the line into the spool.These are 2 significant problems.With the line, try to get the best quality that you can in the specified size, the bump spool will not work if you use a thicker line.Apart from those faults, it is a pleasure to use.
The last time I used an electric trimmer, it barely cut medium height grass. This one blasts through even tall, tough grass and weeds when it's on the high setting.Lasts about 30 minutes on one battery if you're constantly using it.The frame and even plastic parts are solid and reinforced.The bump line feed works properly as expected.A surprisingly powerful trimmer.
