Everyone needs a multitool in their tool box. It's my go to tool for those difficult jobs where there is restricted space and access. Being able to adjust the head makes possible the impossible. The tool quick change lever is fantastic and I can change the tool in seconds and continue working. With a large range on tool speed I can easily control the work order and apply finesse or a more aggressive approach. The battery life is great and goes on for hours, giving plenty of time to recharge my second battery.

I bought this a week ago primarily as I needed to remove grout from between the kitchen floor tiles. I bought an electric grout removing tool from a popular DIY trade store which was very slow to remove the grout, albeit the grout used was not the normal powdery grout, and it would have taken the job weeks instead this tool with grout removing blades will do the job in hours.I bought the tool with a 5AH battery which lasts sufficient time which I wish to do in one go but a second battery is advisable. Good points is the easy on which to change the blades, the variable speed settings and the size is just right to grip. Things which could be improved, the dial for the speed sometimes moves under vibration so could do with slightly more resistance to move and a light ... MoreI bought this a week ago primarily as I needed to remove grout from between the kitchen floor tiles. After struggling with manual grout scraper while re-grouting my bathroom, I bit the bullet and bought Ryobi Multitool. I wish I had bought it earlier! Since then we’ve used it to trim uneven concrete while laying hybrid floor, cut wood planks, etc. The rotating head also helps for odd and awkward angle. Such a useful tool that I think is a must have for little DIY jobs around the house.

This is a super useful tool. Very easy to operate and the articulated head makes it easy to get into tight places. My only issue was not with the tool but with the instruction leaflet. To release the blade requires the release lever to be pulled back 180 degrees but it stops against a cam at about 90 degrees. It takes a lot of pressure to move the lever past the cam. It would have helped if this was mentioned in the instructions. With only a diagramto follow I was afraid I was going to break a brand new toolby putting too much pressure on a relatively thin lever.
This is a fantastic multi tool. I purchased it when my other brand electric one failed. The Ryobi is so much lighter and easier to manage when working overhead. The variable speed and adjustable head are a great function. Also has the bonus of being able to use the batteries from my other Ryobi tools. Peace of mind with the 6 year warranty that other competitor tools don’t come with. I am glad I purchased it.
I have been using Ryobi tools for a considerable time and have found them to be easy to use, reliable and component parts easy to fit. There was a fault with the charger with my first combination drill /driver, when I advised the Bunnings sales rep of the problem, to my surprise I was advised to bring the complete kit in for exchange, I only expected the charger to be replaced. Ryobi is the only company to provide that sort of warranty backup. I have no hesitation in recommending Ryobi tools to any one as they have a great selection for all tasks.
Perfect addition to my Ryobi family. I’ve been looking at this for sometime and decided that this would be ideal to undercut skirting boards and door frames for laying down laminate floor boards. Worked brilliantly and did the job in no time at all. Even got to try out the sanding attachment to tidy up before repainting. I have seen a few few negative reviews regarding sanding attachments but I had no issues sanding multiple surfaces over three days.Easy attachment change and simple to remove and replace. Put one on your wish list, you won’t be disappointed.
Used third party scraper accessory to remove concrete dags. Tool worked great for two hours of continuous use without over heating. Great first use - cant wait to put it to task on some other jobs around the home. One element that doesnt work as intended is the vacuum attachment. This attachment does not do thing. This was partially my reasoning for going for the up spec model over the cheaper unit.
We had a faulty issue with our multitool when we first used it. Luckily we were able to exchange it very easily at Bunnings and the new one worlds like a dream! It has made DIY life 100 times easier for us! We just finished installing our entertainment unit this weekend and couldn’t have done it without the multitool!I also LOVE that we can register all the tools now through the Ryobi website and everything it all in the one place. No need to hold on to paper receipts anymore! I love it!
I haven't previously owned a multitool but was putting in some CAT6 cables and needed to made lots of holes in plaster board. I didnt realise multitools are good for metal, wood and pretty much anything else you can think of. Like my other Ryobi tools this one worked perfectly first time and came with all the accessories. After a bit of practice you can make perfect holes in plaster board. Be warned, dont get carried away... I felt like cutting my car in half just because I was enjoying using my multitool so much!
