We bought this over the weekend and couldn't wait to try out both tools. Charged up the battery and went to town on our yard. The weed eater/trimmer is very strong for being electric, another blower...it was so fun to use! These products surprised us both!

Blowers good, trimmer is low power and line feeds every time you release trigger. Lacks the power to cut the line. If I could return I would. Horrible for edging. Very flimsy, hard to get a straight cut. It is ok for light grass but I wouldn't recommend the design for anything more. Hoped to replace worn Worx 20v. First time tried it, put in back and grabbed worx.

I did not receive the correct product. I did get the trimmer but I did not get the right blower that was in the description nor did I receive the battery and charger that was to come with it. I feel I can't give this an accurate review due to those problems. I can comment on the trimmer and say that it works good and would recommend that but the blower I can't since I didn't receive the right one. That's the reason I'm rating 3 if I had all the items that were to come in the package I would have rated 5.

I use this for trimming around the bushes and trees, up and down the sidewalks and driveway, works really nice on the low setting to save battery life. I love the attached wheel for edging. Works really well for what I use it for, but if you want to cut down huge tall weeds in a field, I'm not sure this is for you. The blower works well for blowing off the just mowed and edged grass from the concrete. It will not move large leaves from my Southern Magnolia trees. This is a great value if you have a smaller home like me, and just wanna mow and edge your grass. Perfect set up for that.
This is one of the best investments I have every made to make life easier. My husband and I purchased the Ryobi 40V mower and trimmer. Love the mower but found the trimmer to be heavy and difficult to control due to the size. This trimmer/edger is the perfect size and weight. You can go from trimming to edging in a jiffy and it gets the job done in a snap. I have also found that it uses far less string than the 40V and advances with the push of a button. The blower is the perfect weight and extremely easy to use. The battery holds a very good charge and I would highly recommend this combo. It was less than the 40V trimmer and I got the blower in addition. You will not be disappointed.
The blower is very powerful for its weight. It is light and works well for small to medium jobs. The string trimmer is very flexible with its wheel (for edging) being my favorite feature. Great home products. The battery lasts long enough for my half acre yard.
Never had an electric weed whacker befor but was sick of dealing with 2stroke fuel going bad before I used it. Very quiet and lightweight. Shocked that on low speed this lasted over 30 minutes of run time cutting 1.5 tall grass and even thick milkweed. Not a professional unit but for a 1 acre yard it actually works! I have about 500 linear feet of area to trim
These Ryobi products rock! They are lightweight and powerful and use the same batteries that I already have for my other Ryobi tools. The best part is no gas or oil to worry about and the weed eater cuts like a dream but if very quiet compared to a gas one. The blower is also very powerful and has no problem moving mounds of leaves that we get here on the East coast. Great products!
Seems to have low power and the cord keeps spooling out and then getting stuck or tangled in taller objects that it lacks the power to cut. It is ok for light grass but I wouldn't recommend the design for anything more. The blower though works great and I like that product - just not the trimmer.
Cannot go wrong with this kit! The trimmer is well balanced and handles all tasks with ease. The blower is well balanced and has enough power for moving leaves around the yard or debris from the walk and driveway. Getting this trimmer, blower, battery and charger all together makes this an incredible value! Get it now - you won't regret it!!
