My wife and I were so excited when I saw the Ryobi 4AH 40v Lithium Ion Battery OP4040A1 w/ On Board Fuel Gauge & Manual, BRAND NEW IN THE FACTORY SEALED PASTIC PACKAT, AT LESS THEN HALF THE STORE PRICE ON EBAY!!!! Retail-Dealz-llc has a GREAT FEEDBACK RATING and even one of the retail employees encouraged me to buy these, and I bought TWO of the batteries!!!! Received the batteries SUPER-FAST , charged one of these batteries and my wife weed-eated the whole yard WITHOUT the battery going dead!!!! To me, THAT'S a GREAT BATTERY!!!! Next time, she used the other battery and THE SAME RESULTS!!!! RETAIL-DEALZ-LLC IS A FANTASTIC EBAY SELLER!!!! We LOVE THE BATTERIES AND THANK YOU!!!!

The Ryobi OP4040A1 40V 4 Ah Lithium-Ion battery is the best one I've used so far. The power is the strongest and it outlasts older batteries used. Recharging it takes a little longer than 30 minutes. For me, it took a little over an hour to charge. I used it on my lawnmowers (older models) and it barely fits the battery holder. I recommend its purchase. It is excellent in performance and you will notice the difference immediately. I have already purchased a second battery.

I've gone through too many of these batteries to count. They will work less than a handful of times and they stop charging. I've waited for them to cool before putting them in the charger, I've stored them in the house in the ac. I cycle so I don't use the same one back to back. They are just not a good quality battery and has rendered my Ryobi products useless. I have spent well over a thousand dollars just replacing batteries in two years. I have switched to gas power now. :(

Bought this battery to use on a small Tiller attachment for a Ryobi expander Weedeater. Original battery for Weedeater was a 2Ah battery and did not give me much tiller time before I had to recharge. Haven't had an opportunity to use this 6Ah battery, but feel sure it will meet my expectations. Shipping time was a little longer than usual, regulations on lithium batteries.
Ryobi batteries are apparently trash now. Used this less than 10 times in under a year and it shows as defective. My original 10 yr. old battery still works, but wanted more capacity. Don't bother calling Ryobi in canada for support or warranty, they don't call back and the wait times are forever. Found video for reset that looked like it would work, if Ryobi didn't lock out access to one of the screws on cover. Will never buy Ryobi brand battery again, appears they have outsourced.
This is my 3rd Ryobi 40-volt lithium battery and they don’t last, which is crazy considering the price you pay. Frustrated! I love the Ryobi line of Expand-It products and have several accessories-but they all need batteries. We have a large property so battery products work best. Ryobi needs to fix the product flaw or find another provider to make them if they want to retain customers. I do not recommend buying this battery until Ryobi can make a better one to offer its customers.

I have purchased 3 different Ryobi 40V tools in the last 2 years. A lawnmower for my daughter, a lawn mower for myself and a blower.The tools work great. I own many Ryobi 18 volt tools as well, but my experience with this 40V battery is bad. I have had to replace all 3 batteries in less than 2 years and one of the replacement batteries is already showing signs of failing. It only lasts 15 minutes running my lawn mower. The cost of these batteries is very high and I think I am going to sell these tools and get the Makita lawn mower. When I first bought my mower I could mow twice with a 6ah battery. Now it takes a 6ah and two 4ah batteries.I went through a drought for two years and hardly used the mower. Bought the blower and weed whip as well as a chainsaw. Two of the batteries won't even charge now. They last 3yrs and 1 month. I stored them inside the house and followed the directions for initial charging. Batteries are garbage and now I can not mow my lawn. Lot is 133ft by 72ft. Do NOT buy!!!
this battery came with a combo tool kit of a jet blower pack and weed trimmer. bought the combo in 2022 and live on a 1 1/4 acre lot. the weed trimmer used to do the whole property the first season but now the last 1.5 years (23, part of 24) I'm lucky if the battery lasts to do half my yard. its pretty annoying it takes 2 days to weed trim. also when using the blower pack, I'm lucky if I get 20 mins of use to blow leaves etc . i weed trim maybe every 3 weeks and use the blower a few times in the fall. tools are good but the battery life sucks. battery costs around $220 and the combo at the time was low 300's on sale with tax. might as well buy another combo kit for the price of the battery....
