Works fine as a flat mop once it's out of the wash/dry bucket and at the right level of dampness but the problems are getting to that point.Firstly, the wash chamber needs to be be deeper. With enough water to cover the mop head, it splashes water out as you plunge it to clean it. Avoid the problem by not filling enough and the bucket is too light (read below) and it doesn't clean the whole pad adequately. However, the biggest issue is what others have described: the drying operation is poorly implemented. If you put the mop head in far enough to evenly wring it, it, gets stuck as you try to remove it, lifting the bucket because there's not enough weight in it to keep it steady.Worst case it pulls the pad nearly right off.No amount of aligning or stretching ... MoreWorks fine as a flat mop once it's out of the wash/dry bucket and at the right level of dampness but the problems are getting to that point.Firstly, the wash chamber needs to be be deeper. I bought this mop 8 months ago, and was thrilled by the ease and function of it. However, up until last week, the mop's head snapped from where the hinge holds the screw to hold the mop head, springs broke free, I was devastated. Perhaps its the exposure to hot water, constant friction on mopping surfaces and squeezing out the water that did it. Such a good concept but needs a redesign. It seems like people have experienced the same thing, a sad waste of money.

I purchased this package only 1 month ago. The whole idea of the wash and dry feature with the bucket works well. The microfibre mop heap washed the floors well and dried fast. That was untill after the 4th use the swivel part connecting the handle and mop head snapped off. Unfortunately you can't just purchase a new mop and no other microfibre broom fits into the bucket either. Receipt must have been thrown out so I can't get it replaced. Money down the drain and it wasn't what I would consider cheap. Very disappointed as it was a great and easy product when usable. I should have read the reviews prior to purchase but assumed this would have been at the same standard as other sabco products I've purchased.

I bought this Sabco mop today for my bamboo floors. It is fantastic. I used to use a traditional mop and wringer bucket with hot water and disinfectant only. With the old method I would have to replace the bucket water five or six times because it would be continuously getting dirty from the dirty floors. I would find it difficult to ring out enough water from the mop because bamboo floors do not like getting very wet. With this Sabco mop the clean water and dirty water are kept separated so I didn’t need to change the water at all. I use hot water with a cup of cleaning vinegar and a splash of disinfectant. Very happy with this unit! Have been using an Enjo mop for years but to 'hands on', having to remove the pad, wash and rinse to get a clean floor and decent results. With this system we just set it up and leave it in the laundry ready to go.Only one small critisism - The bottom of the pole closest to the mop head stars getting rusty (as it comes in to contacts with the water from time to time I guess) but this is easily fixed by rubbing over the area with a soft scourer. Otherwise it's fab!!! N&J :)
This nifty little mop has a dual sectioned bucket - one you fill with water & detergent while the other side is left empty. You immerse the mop on the water side (making sure you insert it into the bucket as described in the instructions) then promptly wring it by pushing it through the dry side. This means the mop, which is a microfibre cleaning cloth, is damp not sopping. I then use it to mop my shiny white ceramic floor tiles. They come up streak free and gleaming. I’m very happy with the purchase.
This mop is perfect for the first 2 uses. After that the cleaning pad material breaks where it connects onto the mop. Brought another cleaning pad but the same thing happens. The design is terrible for the cleaning pads, otherwise a great mop. Disappointing because I absolutely love the mop, but the cleaning pad designs ruins it. Not worth spending money on cleaning pads after every second mop… better off just buying a different mop
The idea of the product and fist time use was fantastic. Easy to use, efficient, pads can be cleaned. The concept works. However, the stitching does not withstand the pushing and pulling motion of the mop going into the bucket. Found the stitching breaks and frays around the corners where the pad inserts onto the mop. Disappointed, whole unit becomes a complete waste.
I was sceptical buying this after all the bad reviews, but figured it has 2 years warranty so where can you go wrong really. I've tried many ways to clean our dark tiles and this is the best so far, no streak marks were left and it cleaned a lot of dirt off the floor (thanks to the dog). I read the instructions well, making sure to use it correctly so it doesn't break. The swivel of it is so handy and the thickness allows for easy cleaning under furniture! So far, I love it but I have only used it twice. We'll see how it holds up!
If I could leave a rating of zero stars for this mop, I would. I have had the absolute worse experience using this Sabco mop and I only wish I had of read the consumer reviews of this product before I went ahead and purchased it… forking out $56.50 for rubbish. Where do I start with the issues: the microfibre pad started wearing down after just one use, leaving green bits everywhere I mop which had to be vacuumed…The pad itself is designed in such a way that it has to be hooked into the mop in a particularly tedious way. It took me 5 minutes to get it aligned just so I could mop. In the mop bucket, the water from the wash section continuously falls into the dry area, making it impractical for use. The mop itself is heavy to use once it has been dampened with water and the swivel section at the base of the mop gets stuck and so the mop head doesn’t move around very freely. It is by far the worse mop I have ever purchased and used on my floors. Thankfully, Bunnings enabled me to return the item and I have just bought a Vevida promise system mop - much cheaper and runs rings around the Sabco one.
