Big rainbows, steelhead, bass and wipers, go with the Spectrum Max.

Reel worked great. First trip out and caught 25-30 fish between 1-4 lbs drag worked well and reel was smooth paired with Rio gold line.
Light, pretty, easy little reels. Plenty of stopping power for trout. I fish these primarily in the 3 to 6 weight class. Love them. I would move to the Spectrum Max for bigger fish and more stopping power. For everyday trout fishing up to 18 inch, this is a great reel. Big rainbows, steelhead, bass and wipers, go with the Spectrum Max.

I bought this 5/6 reel to pair up with a 10' Winston rod and could not be happier. The drag system is easy to adjust and it put the brakes on a few slabs at the Reef this fall. The whole package feels light, balanced, and is a joy to cast plus the price is great compared to some other high-end reels. I would buy again and recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!
Unbelievably well made and incredibly smooth reel. The 3/4 is perfect with my Winston Tom Morgan Favorite rod. Great customer service from the MRFC folks too!
I've been a budget priced reel buyer, but decided to splurge for this reel as I wanted something that could survive saltwater. The quality is very high and noticeable when handling the reel. I really like the numbered drag settings as it's an easy way to set similar drags for similar fishing situations. So far, works great and the drag is very smooth.
I had been looking at reels for a long time for my Winston Air 2 (905-4). I had a Hatch Iconic 4+ on it, but it was actually a little too heavy to balance correctly and the drag was too much even at the lowest setting for what I needed. I love Hatch reels, just never felt like the right pairing for this set up. Went with the Sage Spectrum LT which instantly made a huge difference. Rod balances perfectly and the drag range is much more trout oriented, which is what I was looking for. Reel is very light, but feels solid and durable. I have had other Spectrums in various sizes and have never been disappointed.
This is my favorite model in the Spectrum series. Lightweight, affordable and the drag is perfectly sized to to the reels intended purpose. Trident’s staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions and shipping was quick. I also love their return policy as well.
The aesthetics of this reel is much nicer when in hand than it is in a picture. Light, strong and has a good drag system. Not made in the USA is the only draw back and the only reason for a 4 star rating.
I will tell you this thing is nothing like the spectrum internet provider. Unlike the internet provider this spectrum is lightning fast bringing in fat hogs w its beautifully designed drag system and large arbor. I highly recommend this bad boy if you’re into catching fatties.
