SAINT LAURENT's original 1961 moniker is too iconic to be left in the past. These 'Opyum' sandals have been made in Italy from black patent-leather and have sleek straps to ensure all focus remains on the logo-lettered heels. The square toes nod to the '90s in such a subtle way.

Beautiful but uncomfortable

Even though this is the most beautiful shoe I own, it's also the most uncomfortable. It hurts in 4 different places: where the strap closes, back achilles, little toe, and front toe. My SA tried to warned to not buy it, but I still did. The front sole is very thin so you have no support to walk. It's like walking on tip toes barely foot.

Beautiful shoe.. definitely not for an entire night out. For the price of these I wish they were a shoe that I can wear more often. I went a half size up and they fit perfect. Front strap hurts really bad there is no stretch in the patent leather and it digs deep into your skin. I would recommend going with the lambskin if you can. Those would probably be a lot more comfier. However again the shoe is stunning but it hurts! I guess beauty really is pain!

Just received these a few days ago and they are stunning! I’m a 6.5 and they fit true to size for me. I also have narrow feet so these were perfect for me but it might be too tight for someone with wider feet. I can understand why some people say they’re painful, the strap on the toes is a little tight but I think it’ll stretch out a little as you wear it. Fits perfectly, looks beautiful and the heel is pretty stable. I wish I could wear these everywhere, I’m obsessed!!

GORgeous…..But

Gorgeous patent leather with a gold heels that pops but for the love of all that is holy why would these be made so uncomfortable?! Does YSL mfg NOT quality test? Do they not care about the woman’s comfort? These are sitting shoes only. I find it offensive to charge so much for a shoe that hurts to walk in! Won’t get another pair.

Gorgeous but Painful (Returned)
14 April 2023

I tried these on in a Nordstrom store and it reinforces my theory that their carpets are extremely padded because they felt great in the store. However, once I got home it was a different story and like most reviews the toe strap was extremely painful and tight. Thankfully I tried them on inside so I could return them. For this price point I want to feel like I can wear them out. For context I frequently wear 4+ inch stiletos/heels without problems. I feel for the women who wore these out and had painful experiences while out! :(For sizing, I am a size 38 in Christian Louboutins and to my surprise ended up in a 37 for these YSLs (my first pair).

Gorgeous but so uncomfortable

These are one of the sexiest pair of heels I own and always attract compliments. However, I took a star off because they’re so uncomfortable. Luckily I came across Shoe Gummies which are pads you add to the front heel and has added a bit of comfort.

Gorgeous in YSL heels.

My wife loves these shoes! I wanted to purchase her something different for her birthday. She’s not flashy at all. These heels met the perfect balance of style, subtle flash and sleekness. They look absolutely fantastic on her. Gentlemen, I highly recommend these as a gift for your lady. Ladies, you will love these!

Simple, yet classic.
21 April 2018

This shoe is beautiful. Simple but yet so sexy. The brown leather with the gold accent on the heels allows these sandals to be very versatile. They will never go out style because it’s a classic sandal. I have wide feet and typically wear a 9.5 in heels. I bought a 10.5 due to them running small and I was concerned about the width. Well, they fit perfectly and I do not have that gap in the back. Of course, they are not the most comfortable but a great purchase!

Very Beautiful But Extremely Uncomfortable
27 February 2022

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous! They are definitely a statement piece! However!…..Oh so uncomfortable! The front strap is narrow so you may want to go at least half a size up. Like someone mentioned before, these shoes are not for walking long distances, to be honest they are probably not for walking at all, they are just for looking pretty sitting down somewhere.

painful to be beautiful

If it’s painful to be beautiful was a person, my husband purchased these babies for my birthday very gorgeous.... but that thin strap across the toes is very tight, if you have wide feet this may be extremely painful, I highly recommend going up a half to a full size up, if possible try them on before purchasing them. The heel is high for those that don’t usually wear 4 inch heels, this shoe is definitely a show up and show out then go home meaning no long wear in these, after watching a few YouTube videos I try stretching them by using the socks and blow dryer technique because it’s such a beautiful gift I didn’t want to return it and it did help some, I was determine to brake them in. Would I recommend this shoe?
