As such, I will definitely recommend this base coat top coat to anyone and will definitely purchase these products whenever I am in need of a new bottle of base coat or top coat.

I'm pretty sure this base coat has contributed to yellowing my nails. I'm very exacting about home manicures. I will always use a base coat before I put on any nail color because I don't want yellow nails. I've had this product for about a month, and I've noticed yellowing on my nails for the first time in years. I used it one last time last week because I had a lot of new growth at my cuticle, and sure enough, when I removed my nail polish, all of that new growth was yellow. while the growth after it was pink. I won't be using or repurchasing this particular base coat. I haven't had problems with any other Sally Hansen products, but this one does not work for me.

The formula for this polish may have changed as it was much less opaque than other Color Therapy polishes that I’ve purchased from this brand. Two coats are required as it was much runnier than I expected. The color Time for Blue is a beautiful, deep shade with sparkly flecks. The polish lasted a full week before chipping just along the edge of my nails. As long as you use a good top coat, you should be able to get at least a good week of lovely color.

Beautiful colors, but...
24 December 2022

A little foreshadowing, I work in the veterinary field and with constant hand washing, disinfectant, etc, regular nail polish never stays on long-so with this product, I wasn’t surprised it started chipping-but it started chipping within 24 hours when other drug store polishes have lasted at least 4 days. I was surprised that once my DRY nails touched rubbing alcohol at work, the polish became gummy, sticky, and i was able to scrape it off with my other nail. That has never happened with any other polish. On top of that, polish took forever to dry after painting, at least 2 hours and even then it still wasn’t *fully* dry (I could make a dent in the polish with my other nail). Maybe it’s something I’m doing wrong? I will give it another try, But so far I’m disappointed in the quality of this polish.

Inconsistent Line
28 April 2023

I have a few colors from this line. Fluert, for instance, is a gem. Right now I'm in the process of applying Savans-aaah Pink, or whatever it is, and I am not a fan. The color streaks like it's running across a baseball field. Normally I'd combat that by applying a thick coat, but the stiff applicator brush--combined with the polish's reluctance to spread out--makes thicker layers look globby. What makes the streakiness most annoying is how sheer the color is (it's not meant to be sheer like some colors in this line). I've applied three medium-thickness coats so far and it still is streaky with poor coverage. I'm going to need to apply a fourth. Which is extra annoying because it's taking the polish about 2 hours to dry between coats. The color is beautiful. The ... MoreI have a few colors from this line. Fluert, for instance, is a gem. If you plan to buy, do a little research to make sure the formula for your chosen color gets good reviews.

My absolute favorite color!
15 June 2024

I hope they never discontinue this color; it’s been my signature nail polish color for almost a decade! Whether one or two layers it goes on without streaking, it’s subtly pink but with a brightening milky undertone. It also has a wide brush for much easier and more even application. I get compliments on my nails frequently and this is pretty much the only color I wear on my hands!

Nice look, brush too thick for my liking.
15 January 2023

I have 194 Burnished Bronze and 196 Raisin the Bar, in the Color Therapy line of Sally Hansen nail polish; each of the colors has a nice color after one coat, as well as with two coats of polish. I'm not crazy about the thickness of the brush applicator; it lays too much polish at a time, even scraping the brush along the inside of the neck of the bottle, and makes it difficult to apply a thin layer of polish. I was told by a nail technician some years ago that I have oily fingernails, that the oil kept coming back after she wiped it away with nail polish remover, so she wasn't sure how long the polish I'd chosen would last. I said that I have oily skin over all, so that makes sense, and nail polish rarely stays nice on my nails more than a few days. I use SH Hard ... MoreI have 194 Burnished Bronze and 196 Raisin the Bar, in the Color Therapy line of Sally Hansen nail polish; each of the colors has a nice color after one coat, as well as with two coats of polish. I use SH Hard as Nails as an undercoat under any nail polish I use; both colors of SH Color Therapy stayed on for about five days before peeling off easily without my trying, though I don't baby my polished nails, so that's a factor with any nail polish. I'm sure my oily nails help make it easy for polish to peel off. I've tried lightly roughing up the surface of my nails with an emery board, and that helps some; I'll have to try it with the Color Therapy polishes.I like the colors in both one coat and two; they seem to last a decent time with an undercoat of SH Hard as Nails.I don't like the thickness of the applicator brush; it makes a mess of things too easily.

Not overly special
7 January 2024

This product is just okay…..it streaks with application, does take long to dry, and smells really bad and strong! I personally don’t know how to feel about this I may return it but as far as I know it’s not worth the $7. The one I am speaking of is the rosy quarts. At best if you want that one just grab a clear coat, I understand it is sheer but maybe I need some more layers or a darker color regardless this is not a must have unless you really want a light pink nail look without gel UV which I unfortunately did.

Perfect subtle semi sheer polish - rosy quartz
7 July 2022

I am going to write the review I wish I had found while I was looking for this polish. I have done a lot of research on semi sheer pink polishes (ballet slippers, bubble bath, etc) and didnt want to spend money on one that didn’t work well. I looked at many swatches online because the listing images are too hard to gauge. This sally hansen polish is $1-$2 less than OPI and Essie equivalents and is WONDERFUL. It went on smoothly, no streaks. Its very even and super pretty. A subtle creamy pink tint. I used nail polish remover on my nails then washed my hands and let them dry. I used another sally hansen base and top coat (not the one from this line) and then 2 coats of the Rosy Quartz color, allowing each coat to dry before adding the next. Then i used that same base and top coat as my top layer. This polish appears slightly watery, more so than the fast dri line of polishes, but i felt this consistency is what helped it to go on smoothly and to not streak. I’d like to add I am not a nail tech or beauty influencer, i have average nail painting skills at best and found this easy to use to get really clean results. I am very pleased with this polish and I hope my findings are helpful! Photos in warm and cool lighting.

Pretty but doesn't dry after 1st coat for me.
20 August 2024

The first time i used this it was great! i got a nice sheer pink and it lasted a long time. it's nice to know that it's caring for my nails while i where it. i use argan oil in my hair too and its amazing but anyways, recently when I've been using it it hasn't been drying. the first coat dries just fine but since its sheer you need to do 2-3 coats for it to show good. but on the second coat it just doesn't dry fully for me. even if i do the thinnest coat. i don't know if i did somthing like left the bottle open or applied wrong but I'll keep on trying to get it to try because this nail polish is amazing!
