Sally Hansen Complete Care 7 in 1 Nail Treatment 13.3ml

Disclaimer: I received this product in a VoxBox campaign! I’ve been using this product since 05/03/22. The product has led to overall stronger nails for me. I’ve noticed that my nails are less likely to chip after doing manual labor (i.e. household chores, work, and exercising). I also noticed faster nail growth from 05/03 to 05/19 (pictures for reference) as usually my nails take a month or so to grow (if they don’t chip first). Pros: - leaves your nails shiny and glossy looking - nails are less likely to chip and feel less brittle to the touch -I noticed faster nail growth (the pictures with my nails painted pink were taken 05/03 and the other with longer nails was taken today 05/19). This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I put on one coat with plans to put a colored polish over it. The polish is thin and easy to apply, and it dries within several minutes. There were noticeable differences in my nails right away. They looked shiny and smooth, and the ridges I have were invisible to the eye. However, I decided to shower after putting on the first coat, and it flaked off my nails. I thus put on two more coats, and they have flaked less in the 3 days I have been using it than with the one coat. The ridges in my nails are more noticeable than when I first put it on, but there is still a good amount of shine. I do not yet know whether it will strengthen my nails or help them grow. I would give this 4.5 stars. I was sent this product in exchange for my review. I have weak nails nowadays but go through phases of trying to strengthen them up in between manis. I think using this product on my bare nails definitely has helped and I like that it isn't terribly thick or oily feeling. It is less messy than using cuticle oil too so I'd likely to reach for this repeatedly. It doesn't have a very strong smell the way full fletched nail polish does either. It also looks pretty on its own adding a nice shine to bare nails. Definitely a good price. I only wish it was a little longer lasting because I do notice the edges start having minor lifting after a couple days. Do recommend!

This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I also don’t think the texture is quite smooth or even enough to be a top coat which is meant to seal and even everything.

I originally used this as a base/top coat, but it doesn't last much longer than a typical nail protector. With nail polish on top, it lasts for about 4–5 days, but when used on its own as a protective base coat, it started peeling at the tips within 2 days. (To be fair though, I use my hands fairly rigorously throughout the week—washing my hair, massaging my scalp, hand washing dishes, cleaning, gardening.) To be clear, the polish doesn't "chip", it peels, so it feels like a stretchy plastic-y material. Even when I manually peel off the loose flappy parts, it surprisingly doesn't peel off the top layer of my nails like typical base coats. My nails actually look very healthy and nourished underneath! This Sally Hansen Complete Care 7 in 1 gave me results. My nails were stronger within a week and looked healthier immediately. They also had a nice shine and were smooth. I applied the product weekly. I completely removed it and reapplied after about 2 weeks during the 4 weeks I tried it. I did not apply any colored polish. I stopped biting because I could see the benefit of the product. The combination of avocado oil, pomegranate extract, sea salt and calcium is great. By the end of the week, it seemed to thicken the surface of my nails. I did remove my polish this morning to check the improvement of the ridges however, I feel it will take a considerably amount of time of consistency of using this treatment to see the difference in smoothing out the surface of my nails. My polish doesn’t usually last the whole week so it definitely protected my polish from chipping. My right index finger did completely chip off by the end of the week but I use my hands a lot so that’s to be expected. I really don’t hold that against the product. Perfect for Nail Stamping & Touch-Ups to Maintain Manicure

I have been learning how to do my own ombre nails and nail stamping. It can be a long process to apply the many different layers to achieve the look I want, and it is very frustrating to go through all that work only to smear the polish on a nail and have to start over. Enter Sally Insta Dri Top Coat. This awesome little gem is a nice consistency and goes on nicely - it's not too thin, yet doesn't gloop everywhere either. Viral Nail Concealer Dupe!

There is a viral "nail concealer" product I have seen advertised that this is a wonderful dupe for! The advertised product of another brand is $20+ and this was about $5 at Walmart. I do feel that one coat looked nicer than 2 coats. I do not have damaged nails, but I do have vertical ridges which this slightly concealed. If you will give yourself a manicure and some cuticle care before applying it lasts beautifully and won't chip off. Gives a nice blurring effect and a little shine. Doesn't look like clear polish. Looks more like natural nails that have a nice buffed shine to them. This product is amazing and I hope they never discontinue it!
