Nail polish is nail polish, right? But I’ve come to realize that this one is a bit of a game-changer. It’s not just about adding color; it’s about transforming a simple manicure into something that really pops. **Personal Insights:** I have to admit, the first time my wife used this top coat, it caught my eye right away. There’s something about the way it adds a deep, shimmering effect to her nails that I hadn’t seen before. She usually pairs it with a dark base color, and the result is this rich, almost fiery look that’s hard to ignore. It’s like her nails suddenly have this extra dimension, and it’s become one of my favorite looks on her. What’s also impressive is how easy it seems to be for her to get that look. I’ve seen her do her nails in a rush before we head out, and this top coat dries quickly and looks professional without much effort. Even though I’m no expert, I can appreciate when something makes life easier, especially when it looks this good. **Pros:** - **Striking Visual Effect**: The top coat adds a multi-dimensional, fiery shimmer that enhances any base color, especially darker ones. - **Quick-Drying**: It dries fast, which means my wife can get ready quickly without worrying about smudging. - **Smooth Application**: The formula goes on evenly and easily, with no streaks or bubbles, which results in a professional finish. - **Versatile Use**: Works well with various base colors, allowing her to mix and match depending on the occasion. **Cons:** - **Chipping After Several Days**: After about five days, I noticed some chips in the polish, which was a bit disappointing considering how great it looked initially. - **Less Impact on Light Colors**: The special effects aren’t as noticeable on lighter base colors, so it’s best used with bold shades. **How It Fits Into Our Daily Life:** This top coat has become her go-to whenever we’re going out for something special. Whether it’s a dinner date, a party, or just a night out with friends, she’ll often reach for "Off With Her Red" to give her nails that extra sparkle. It’s one of those things that adds just a bit more excitement to our plans, and I can tell she feels great when she’s wearing it. And for me, it’s nice to see her enjoy something that’s both quick and effective. **Who Should Consider This Top Coat?** If you or your partner are into bold, eye-catching nail looks that don’t require a lot of fuss, Sally Hansen’s "Off With Her Red" is worth a try. It’s perfect for those who love adding a touch of glam to their nails without spending hours in a salon. Whether you’re prepping for a special night out or just want to jazz up your everyday manicure, this top coat is a fantastic way to add some shimmer and shine. Give it a shot, and see how it can elevate your nail game!... Show more

I recently used Sally Hansen Gel Coat, and it has quickly become a staple in my nail care routine. The application is straightforward, and the formula delivers a smooth, glossy finish that rivals professional gel manicures. I appreciate that it dries relatively quickly and helps my nail polish last longer without chipping. The brush is easy to use and the product spreads evenly, which minimizes the need for touch-ups. The shine is impressive and holds up well over time. My only minor critique would be that it requires a bit of effort to remove, but this is a common trade-off with long-lasting finishes. Overall, Sally Hansen Gel Coat offers great value for a salon-quality look at home and has definitely improved the durability and appearance of my manicures.... Show more

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish is one of my favorite brands. They offer a wide range of colors and formulas, and they are affordable. You can easily achieve salon-like nails in no time and for less than the price you’d pay at a nail salon. Since it’s spring break, we’re doing lots of fun activities at home and a nail polish party was one of them. We chose a few colors from Sally Hansen Gel- 292 - Rain Glow and 601 - Crying Out Cloud. They are beautiful colors and you need to apply two coats for the perfect finish. They are quick dry but we have to wait a little extra as we applied two coat. I love the brush, its shape helps to apply the nail polish neatly. It stays on for at least four days without fading or chipping, but I feel that with a gel top coat, it ... I love this so much I accidentally bought it twice! I bought my first Miracle Gel nail polish when I saw a pretty teal color around Easter time last year and then I realized I had to buy Step 2 also, but the color was so pretty I bought both. This particular review is about this lovely dark green shade. I thought it went on as smoothly as any of the Miracle Gels I’ve used before, and covered nicely in two coats. It could ALMOST have been one cost but the color is so dark that it was still visible that it was thin in some places. With the Step 2 coat that I put on top, this lasted me about a week before starting to chip. I used a sparkly gold/iridescent Step 2 and the one thing about doing that is it made the green seem even darker and at a glance it seemed more ... But I haven’t found a good medium green shade and this seemed good for Christmas, reminiscent of evergreens, so I’m still pretty happy with it.... Show more

Awful Color Degredation
Worst polish ever. I’m very experienced with painting my own nails & have used many brands. There’s so much wrong with this stuff. (I bought & tried 4 different colors, so it’s not just the particular color that I have issues with). It spreads unevenly, then even after waiting for full dry 1st coat, when you apply the top coat, it’s spreads color unevenly even more. Basically like it dissolves the color. AND the top coat will make the color more yellow-EVERY TIME. So color degradation happens. Maybe it lasts longer than regular polish but instead of chipping it lightly cracks. So it’s basically useless. Takes me 10 min to do home color at most, these SH Miracle Gels take me 30 min to get a decent polish. Not worth anything. Hate it... Show more

BEAUTIFUL color!!!😍
I bought a bottle of this color nail polish before Covid. It has sat, unused, hidden in a closet until last night. I have been unable to take my eyes off my nails all day. Depending on lighting it glows different shades of blue, to purple and sometimes I think I even see red. I am a nail polish snob. Mooncat, Cirque, Londontown to name a few, are what I buy now. But Hyp-nautical is stunning. The brush is the nice, flat wide kind that works so well on my nails. Great control of the polish without flooding my cuticles. No bubbles. I shook it well too, as the pigment had separated (the bottle IS well over 4 years old after all) but it blended back easily. Full opacity in 2 coats. I use a quick dry nail polish so did not experience any unusual lag in drying time. I ... MoreI bought a bottle of this color nail polish before Covid. I’m sad it has sat unused for so long but that will not be the case any longer. Definitely on my favorites list.... Show more

Be patient it does work!!
This stuff really does workWhen I first use it, I didn’t let The coat try for long enough, and it felt like it wouldn’t dryNow I put a coat on before bed and leave it 10 minutes before I touch itAnd then I put another coat on in the morningUsually, I wait quite awhile to put the third coat on, and then let that dry well before putting the topcoat onAt least 10 minutes in between even longer, if you canIt’s worth being patient because then it last a long timeI use the bright red, and I’ve never been able to get red to last even a dayOn a couple of fingers when I chipped them, I can touch it up and overall it’s lasted about 10 daysHonestly, it’s pretty much as good as having gel nailsBut you do have to bear with it, and if you don’t let it dry, it’ll ... Cure in natural light? Please explain
Not satisfied at all. My go to is actual gel polish that requires a UV lamp. You just can’t beat the quality (if you’re using a reputable brand and know what you’re doing) but sometimes I just don’t want to break out all the equipment. When I saw this I figured I’d give it a try. It is pretty expensive, some of my actual gel polish doesn’t even cost this much, but if it lives up to its name then I don’t mind paying that much. Let me just say that I’m so irritated that I spent that much money on this stuff! Dollar store polish is better than this! I followed all directions to a T. Wiped nails with 100% acetone, applied first thin layer, let it completely dry, then went for the second. Oh no! It’s streaky and not opaque as it should be. So I let the second layer dry ... So I let the second layer dry then applied a third thin layer. That worked for the most part. I chose a white polish so I know how hard that can be to get completely opaque. After that layer was completely dry I applied a thin layer of the top coat. But as I started brushing on the top coat I noticed that it was wiping some of the polish off! Now it was even less opaque in spots. It was at least shiny as advertised. But who cares if the polish underneath looks like crap?! So at this point I’ve spent too much time to start all over again with my regular gel polish so I decided I’d let it go until the next night and just redo my nails. I was tired and needed to get in bed. Well, about 40 minutes later, after the top coat should have been completely dry, I looked down and one nail had something smudged on it. So I took my thumb and went to wipe away the smudge on my nail and I wiped away the whole top coat and the paint under it was wet again. What? How the heck does that happen? I am absolutely certain that all 3 layers were completely dry because I tested them before applying the top coat. Did the top coat liquify the lacquer? I’m so confused as to what just happened! So I started wiping at the other nails. Just firmly pressing and wiping and sure enough the top coat was sorta chipping off with wet lacquer underneath. I’m so confused. And irritated that I just spent roughly $25 on junk. I re-read the instructions online again and I did notice that the final step was to let the top coat “cure in natural light”. Like, the sun? Can you only use this polish during the day and do you have to go outside after applying the top coat? If so, that definitely isn’t going to work for me! I don’t even remember the last time I did my nails during the day. Lol. It is always a night time thing for me. That’s generally the only time I have available for primping and such. Please, someone let me know what the deal is with this stuff. If that is the case, I think the instructions should be made much more clear before consumers purchase this product. Hey, maybe some people will like that “feature” and have the ability to follow those instructions. As for me, that definitely won’t work out. I will be awaiting a response because I am very curious now, what constitutes “natural light”?... Show more

Nice colour but a bit opaque. Fantastic at removing.
I bought this hoping it would be quite colourful however the colour is quite opaque, even with 2 coats. Having said that, the concept is great. Having spent a lot of money on gel nails which looked lovely for a couple of weeks but totally ruined my nails I had to try this. The application was very easy and the drying didn't take as long as anticipated. The top coat was as easy as the colour and again dried quicker than I thought. The varnish stayed on for four days with no chipping but just some wear on tips. Normally varnish lasts me a day or 2 before chipping. The revelation was on removal. I have never had a Polish come off so easy. No colour transfer onto my hands, as usually happens, even with a bright pink colour. It just came off and stayed on the cotton pad. ... Not great
There was so much wrong with this. First I really don't like when the product says "miracle gel" but isn't gel in the slightest. I understand it's supposed to be a "gel-like finish" but I'd rather cure my nails and have it take a couple minutes than wait hours for it to dry. Just seemed like false advertising if it's not actually gel. And yes, it's been hours. I redid it after I realized it wasn't actually gel and wouldn't work on the light. It's goopy and hard to work with. It also leaves little bumps and uneven texture. Overall, not a great product for it being kind of expensive also it didn't even look like gel when it was done. It was a shame because the color was very pretty. (side note: I used thin layers and waited like 20 minutes in between each coat/ only ... MoreThere was so much wrong with this.
