I love this Salomon Active Skin Hydration Vest. I bought a Large so my partner and I could use it (I usually wear M/L for women). We have brought this on backpacking gear (for day hikes) and on daily runs and LOVE it! I could not recommend enough.

The mesh material is rough. I have 2 other Salomon running vest’s the advance 12 & 8 honestly I thought it would compare to these but the material is different. Not comfortable at all. I thought it would be great and thought not bad for $100. If you live in cold weather & need it with long sleeves then okay but on skin not great. Spend the extra few bucks to get the other models.

No reason to be without water and hold my massive IPhone perfectly in chest pouch and is nice to be able to hold shirt if get too hot. 5’6 34b and I love my XS. Just wish they would restock so can gift to sister! I like the women’s version contours a bit more.

The women’s version contours to the body. It’s true to size based on the measurements on the size chart. I’m a 99cm bust and the L fits perfectly, with room if you want to have another layer underneath other than a sports bra. I have a short torso and the bottom of the vest hits right at my natural waist. The material does not chafe at all and feels snug and secure while running. I like that it’s like second skin and doesn’t move around.
My first vest after my hands were cramping even with a proper handheld bottle. I've taken this out for 8-10 mile runs and shorter and has plenty of storage for everything I needed and zero chafing, even after tons of sweat and running with only a sports bra. Only issue is the soft flasks are pretty annoying to take in and out so need to work on a better system for that but I'm glad with the purchase and didn't need the $160 version one. I bought a size large, I'm usually a medium in tops/bras but have a larger chest (34G) and the large works!
I bought this about a month ago and have used it on 3 long runs so far. It holds everything I need easily- phone, water, gels, chapstick, ID, keys. I have a shorter torso and probably could have sized down. It’s a little long on me and if I don’t wear a tshirt or tank top underneath, the ends rub against my sides
I was on the fence whether this was the one and then it sold out. I checked back almost everyday and a week later there was one in stock in my size- fate. Shipping was fast!The photos look more pink whereas it looks a little darker and more purple in person, which I prefer.Fits great and has a good amount of storage.
I ordered the xs in black. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs. It fits perfectly. The pockets are useful. Easy clasp and tighten system. If you have clothing stuffed in the back you will get sweaty. My major complaint is that the plastic pouches that come with it, while handy and easy to use, taste like strong chemicals. I washed and rinsed them multiple times but it still tastes awful. I'm sure that will go away eventually but it was a real bummer to learn out on the trail.
Really pleased with the Active Skin 4, after 3 prior unsuccessful attempts to find a suitable running pack/waist belt. For me the most common deficiency in running vests/belts is that they move around (e.g. bounce) with every step, which I find quite irritating. The Active Skin does not move around at all, and the water flasks deflate as you drink, so there’s no sloshing. Storage capacity and pockets are sufficient for my runs of up to 3 hours. Highly recommend!
I truly love this vest! It is so comfortable, breathable, adjustable, and has so many pockets for all of my needs. I love having the freedom of not having keys weight down my leggings anymore.The water bags are so convenient too.
