I bought this running vest on sale, and it has been awesome so far! There are so many pockets and loops that make it really easy to store keys, wallets, phone, snacks, etc. Although, I would recommend sizing up if you are in between sizes. My measurements should have been an XS, but I'm glad I bought an S. Another note is the straws. Unless you have a super long neck you will have to cut them down to size. Fortunately, Solomon has a really helpful youtube video on how to adjust the straw heights, but it was still difficult and required hot water, pliers, and my dad's help. But after I adjusted the straws, the vest worked perfectly! Not sure if it's worth the full price, but for being so cheap on sale I had to get it, and now I love it!

As other reviewers mention, the straws that come with the flasks are annoyingly long. Salomon has an instructional video on how to cut them that makes it look way easier than it is. I couldnāt even get the plastic pieces off the ends - neither could my boyfriend, nor my local Salomon shop dealer. I asked Salomon if I could exchange the vest for a unisex version and they said no, because I had already unwrapped the straws. They did send me new straws, but I had the same issue with those ones. Salomon then told me āthere is nothing more we can do, as this is not a problem and we have never had any problems with cutting the straws.ā So I would strongly advise against buying this vest unless you want super long straws slapping you in the face while you run.

First, they don't tell you the straws are adjustable and that they are meant to be cut to the desired length. When you do the research and find finally some info, you realize it's impossible to do. The straw won't detache from the base even when put in warm water as they recommend doing. I even tried with clamps and it won't come out. Meaning that the feature of adjusting the straws is in fact inexistent. Which makes the vest almost unusable unless you like to be slapped in the face constantly during your runs. Such a shame of a fail from what's supposed to be a safe bet of a brand.

Pack fits great, doesn't bounce, holds all the stuff. However, in very hot weather, I want to wear my pack with just my sports bra and it's not possible because the mesh inside causes too much chafing. The mesh has also torn in a couple places, even though I haven't caught it on anything-- seems like a product wear and tear issue. I've only had it a few months to train for an ultra and for the cost, it doesn't seem like it should wear that fast.
I got this vest because I love my ADV SKIN 8, but I wanted to have more capacity = more adventure. I'm super happy with the pack! It has all the storage capacity of the 8, but with even more pockets. I love how stretchy the pockets are - I can take a LOT of stuff with me out on the trail. I love the way the vet fits too - I can control the bounce by cinching up the adjusters. I took this pack on a very tough 35km trail race in 30+ degrees. I had absolutely NO chafing at all. I am a fan, and would highly recommend this pack to anyone looking for a great hydration vest. Salomon is the master of hydration vests!!
I wore this vest trail running 100+ miles in the alps over the summer. I really wanted to like it but these were the issues:- Terrible chaffing around the neck and torso, while I know this can happen with vests, this material was particularly rough and dug in- I put my phone on the front pocket and the mesh tore easily and there's a hole, mesh fell apart quickly- It absorbs smell, an issue I don't have on other packs, even after one wear.- I couldn't get the straw off the spout to adjust the length. The pack felt uncomfortable around the neck from the beginning despite attempts to adjust. Left horrible chaffing. The water bottles were a nice change from the regular unisex bottles. But adjusting the straw length was MUCH more difficult and time consuming than the Salomon tutorial showed.It would have been a really nice pack if the neck wasnāt horrible. I am hoping it was a manufacturing error because the seam is right there to rub and the material around the neck seems unnecessarily rough. I owned and loved the 12 adv skin. The adv skin did not have any chaffing around the neck. Didnāt even notice the neck. I love the back pocket for my phone. Much easier to reach than the back phone sized pocket on the adv skin 12.

The vest itself has a LOT of ahhhmazing features, but they are all worthless to me, as I will never be able to use it bc the material is so scratchy against my skin it left red welts & horrible chaffing anywhere it touched my bare skin directly (my skin is NOT sensitive). In the 80-100Ā° summer heat, I run in a sports bra, so this simply won't work for anything but winter running when my bare skin is protected by a shirt, but I need a vest i can wear year round. Honestly, it's SOOO scratchy, I'm not sure a thin tech-fabric shirt would be enough protection.I also wish the pockets had a way to cinch them closed. This is my second Solomon pack. I just used it for a 50 mile trail race. I love this way it fits my body just right. I can adjust it so it does not bounce and I have no chafing. I love the new soft flask design. The soft flasks are much easier to get in the front pockets after being filled. The front zipper pockets are horizontal pockets and zip vertically. I have a bigger bust so when I unzip the pocket to grab my nutrition, other stuff falls out of the pockets. Also, this pack does not have a clip for keys. Overall I love the pack and would buy again. Just be mindful of the zipper pockets and make sure the car key is tucked away in the pack safely.
I am 5'3" and straws that come with the pack literally hit me in the eyes. So the female shaped bottles were unusable. I was told I could cut the straws but that would take a lot of effort putting them back together. Thankfully I didn't make the effort before going for run and testing it out.I measured correctly, I defiantly ordered the right size and it fit perfectly. But this vest gave me the worst chaffing I have ever had.I was super excited to try Salomon out since most the runners I know love their stuff. Thankfully I am an REI member and was able to return it.
