Used only once and the glue came apart at the soul. MyDeal tried to class it as “wear and tear” which is totally ridiculous. Once pointed out Australian Consumer Law there
tune changed but still put up a fight. I wouldn’t recommend MyDeal because of their pathetic customer service. Be very careful!! No shoe should come apart in the first 6

Husband loves these shoes, usually wears Salomon hiker shoes or boots, ordered half size up as his size was out of stock and these might fit smaller because he didn't seem
to notice. Says they are super comfortable and the rocking bottom design seems to make you want to go much faster than the flatter trail shoe. 🤣 Full disclosure, these were
purchased for gym shoes, in a color he would not be comfortable wearing daily (he likes plain). The orange is much more intense pulling them out of the box but it's not
overly obnoxious on your feet. If they came in a all black or something more subdued I'm sure he would want another pair for daily!

I'm typically a black shoe person, but the contrasting colours on this shoe appealed to my eye.Lastly, Salomon's warranty service is fantastic. I had an issue with a pair of their shoes about a year after purchase and they backed their warranty promptly (as long as you provide all of the information they require). I will continue doing business with companies that stand by their products (gold standard to me has always been Maui Jim Sunglasses... their service is off the charts)... Show more

Comfortable, good traction
6 May 2023
Have had these for a few weeks now. Previously had the Sense Ride , but did not like the new Sense Ride, due to the tighter fit in the toe-box. With the Pulsar, I found the fit similar to old Salomon shoes. The Pulsar is a well cusioned shoe, with moderate drop, so I love it for medium distance and longer runs. Contagrip is great for wet roots and trails where I run in BC. I find this shoe extremely comfortable without being too heavy. Great all around trail runner... Show more

Excellent value dirt/trail running shoe with.

I've mostly bought Salomon shoes for the last 10 years because the lacing system is so great. It's easy to adjust them midrun, and they never feel tight in one area and loose in another like regular laces. You can even adjust them with gloves on. The one thing I didn't like about Salomon is that I wasn't getting a long life out of them. That is, until I got the Pulsar Trail's.On a dollars per mile basis these have been cheaper than any running shoe I've owned. I got 900 miles on my last pair before the rubber sole split in several places. The midsole feels less cushiony than new at 300-400 miles, but they don't feel hard like many other shoes do at that point. If I had unlimited money I'd change them every 400, but you can absolutely get 700 or more without ... MoreI've mostly bought Salomon shoes for the last 10 years because the lacing system is so great. If I had unlimited money I'd change them every 400, but you can absolutely get 700 or more without serious issues. The heel drop makes these good for fore and midfoot strikers. They're also rockered(rounded from heel to toe) a bit, which felt odd to me at first, but I think they do good for my form. It helps spread the force from striking into more of a roll. The rubber compound is generally quite grippy and the lugs are well placed. They breathe pretty well for a shoe with this much padding, and they keep water out in most trail running situations. I've heard other people say they feel hot, but they don't feel any worse than any other normal running shoe to me.The tread is best on dry dirt and singletrack forest trails, but it does pretty good on mud. They feel fine on road, but I expect the soles wouldn't last as long on roads because the rubber isn't super thick. One issue I've had is that sometimes the insole wants to slip around before they're broken in which can lead to blisters on the sides of your foot. I now glue the insoles in with a couple dabs of shoe goo when I get them and it doesn't happen.... Show more

Fits great, but not enough structure.
8 May 2024
Salomons always fit my my narrow feet and I love the speed laces. The problem I have with this particular pair of Salomons is that they have VERY little heel support. Either my feet are drastically asymmetric or I hiked on a sloped hill for too long, but my right foot is now forever rolling inward and there is simply not enough structure in the shoe to prevent it. I'll be using them for light duty only at the gym.... Show more

Good Quality, Wider than expected toebox
11 May 2023
Let me start by saying I haven't taken these for a run yet as I'm in road race mode at the moment. Build quality is what you would expect for Salomon trail runners - they're burlier than regular running shoes without being too bulky. Personally find the lace system hard to use, the "stash" pocket is covered by the top set of laces so it's a bit finnicky to get the leftover lace in there. I'm hoping that changes with time.I have another pair of Salomon hiking boots and these fit pretty much the same. I usually wear ASICS to run in (Novablast, Nimbus) and the toebox of these is much wider. Heel still feels locked in so it shouldn't be a problem when running but we'll see.Overall the support is quite firm and feels more like a hiking boot than a runner on foot. Great Shoe
2 March 2024
I purchased these shoes for my husband. He has been wearing the GTX Salomon’s for years, but this is his first pair that aren’t GTX. He loved them. He said they are extremely comfortable and were true to size. He is looking forward to trying a more breathable version for non-winter wear. The poppy red colour is gorgeous! Thanks Altitude Sports!... Show more

Lightweight trail running shoe

Very lightweight and solidly built shoe. Great for walking the dog through the woods and on trails.I purchased the red as I want visibility when outdoors. They fit like a traditional Solomon shoe - so order your usual size and you should be good. Highly recommend!... Show more

Paint Peeled off in Single Use!
1 December 2023
I bought these shoes for my son's many adventures and he was very excited about them however, he only got to enjoy them one day! That's right, the paint came off the top front of the shoe. So disappointed! They are pretty comfy and my son liked the style so I will give it two stars for that. I will be returning them and looking for another type of shoe.... Show more
