After explaining to the sales associate I could not remove sun baked salt and fresh waters spots on my glass sonar screen, I cleaned the screen with a microfiber cloth and immediately started to remove spots. However, it did take considerable scrubbing and reapplications to restore the glass. I had tried many other materials and nothing worked. Now the screen looks great and spots are almost completely gone.

Absolutely amazing product from engine flushing to washing boat and trailer not to mention the fishing gear. Have seen what it did for an old engine full of salt deposits and overheating. First good flush stopped overheating. That was enough for me. Recommend it to all boaties

I too checked out the glowing reviews of salt away.Got a bottle, and I was shocked with the results.Heaps of blue staining all over my boat, saltaway has a useless website, no cleanup advice… nothing can get the stains off. Save yourself the pain, don’t get it !

Make no mistake, this is a great product and helps get the salt out of places you normally cannot get to. Unfortunately, as the market evolves, other similar products are now available and are much cheaper. Either the price needs to drop or BCF need to look at bringing in a different brand.
Although expensive, I believe that this product has added life to my 30-odd year old outboard which I had been told by my mechanic to offload. Previously hard to start and poor running, after several treatments of Salt-Away my '87 140 Evinrude now starts better and runs smoother. I observed a lot of crud coming out of the tell which had accumulated when using water alone. The tell now runs with a nice steady flow.
Great product. Appears, in the first instance, to be excessively expensive however, once you have used it, you cannot go without it! Amazingly simple to use with the water gun / water nozzle it instantly washes away the caustic salt. Best of all, most of the dirt, western port mud scum and bits of stray bait etc is removed with the salt !!!! Top quality product saving heaps of time in the post fishing trip clean up. Highly recommended.

I’m about out of the small bottle after dec/jan I went out quite a bit in the port hacking salt all over my boat.Watch the YouTube videos. Rinse ever fully with plain fresh water first then come back and finish with salt away. Or wash it twice with salt away...Rinse your engine thoroughly first normally then use the salt away till it suds up for 30 get it right into and through the coolant bays in the motor then switch off and leave it in there to build up a coating layer in the motor. What a waste of money. This product won’t even clean a new alloy boat. Might take off the dried salt but nothing else. Water marks from one hour in Bribie passage on a clear water brief run.Despite 3 rounds of applications per the instructions to try and clean the hull nothing. Might as well use car wash, $ 210 down the drain. So disappointed in my first failed BCF product.
