I bought the Loraine Bit Loafer in Raspberry Velvet. The color is truly unique and gorgeous. However, as for fit, I should have listened to other reviewers about what size to order. I normally wear an 8.5 wide, so that's the size I ordered. The width was fine but it was entirely too long. After reading the reviews, it seemed like returning it for a 1/2 size smaller (8 wide) would work. So that's what I did. Still too long! The shoe still slips up and down as I walk. I guess I should return it and try a 7.5 wide, but I just want to wear the silly things and not keep sending stuff back in the mail. Instead I'm going to use insoles to take up some room and/or add heel pads. I hope the added insole and padding will make it more snug. Also, others have noted NOT to go a 1/2 size or a full size down if you have high arches. I have high arches and I still needed the smaller size. YMMV.

Comfortable Flats

the shoe is very comfortable. I was pleasently surprised bc many flats are not as comfortable as you think they should be. The back of the shoe is soft; which contributes to its comfort. The pattern doesn't match the Sam Edleman dress I purchased about 2 years ago in the sameish pattern. I say "sameish" bc it's close but no cigar. It does the job though w/o it being too different. They are very comfortable however and for this reason I would recommend the style and shoe. I would order more; however, right now my budget it limited. I am also newly retired and am looking to get rid of items and not add on. :)

I bought the Loraine Loafer in Saddle leather. I had almost given up wearing heeled shoes because it seemed everything I bought (Vionics, Bjorn, TIEKS) rubbed my heeel and gave me horrible blisters. I had to wear Birkenstocks and while they are comfy, aren't very professional. I have wide feet but these were so amzing I quikly boght another pair in patent. The are a wee bit narrow but have already stretched. I cannot believe I can wear these and my heels aren't shredded and blistered. They go with everything!

Pleasantly surprised

I have come to love Sam Edelman shoes when I can get them in my size. I’m really a 12W but 13 also works for me and these shoes fit beautifully. The leather is buttery soft so I expect they may stretch or conform to my feet with wear, which is even better. I typically prefer at least a 1” heel as my feet/ankles tend to pronate in flats but these are really supportive, in part because the vamp (top) of the shoe covers much of the foot and holds it in place. For that reason my feet look long. The style also makes my feet look more narrow, which for me is a plus (as someone with large feet). The styling of the shoe lends itself well to office attire but could be equally as chic with jeans or khakis.

Surprisingly comfortable
7 February 2023

The ball of my foot is very wide, as are my toes, so I was skeptical that these tapered loafers would work -- but they do! They are really comfortable. There's enough space at the end that the taper doesn't really start until after the end of my toes. The leather is soft and pliable, which I think also makes it easier on my outside toes. The heel is very small, of course, but sturdy and does provide support when pounding the pavement. (Although I do add a slim insert for my high arches.)The only problem I encountered with this shoe is the stitching on the edge of the inside. My little toe sits directly on top of that and rubs against the stitching -- but this has been easy to fix with some thin no-show socks for heels.I will probably get another pair!

These loafers are my absolute favorite. I have difficult feet with bunions. These type of shoes typically cause injury either in the heels, ankles or toes due to pinching or excessive rubbing. I have slightly wide feet and am typically a size 6. However in this pair, I wear a size 5.5 M. I didn’t have to buy the wide option. The toe area was roomy enough but not too much - my foot did not slide around. I wore this to work and didn’t need to break them in. No pain, no rubbing, no injuries! In fact, I wore them for three days in a row just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. I also appreciate that it is slightly cushy on the inside and not completely flat that I feel the ground with each step. The style is slightly tapered in the front, but are not considered pointy ... MoreThese loafers are my absolute favorite. It’s modern and will go with any outfit easily. I have two pairs now and am thinking of adding more. Shoes that are stylish and don’t hurt me are hard to find.

These shoes are amazing. I got the gray multi as I wanted a shoe to elevate jeans through the holidays for house parties etc. wore them tonight and got so many compliments. They have clear sequins so they aren’t so in your face. Wore them with mother jeans and a silver tshirt from Anthropologie. The outfit was holiday perfect and so comfy!! I’ll wear these with jeans after the holidays as well. I have problem feet and this particular loafer is a dream from the first moment you put them on. In saying that I do have a bunion and tend to go larger in sizes and wider toe boxes seem to work good on me so I would suggest sizing down as I usually wear an 8.5 or a 9 to accommodate my bunion friend but these are perfect in an 8

trendy and comfortable!

I violated the unwritten rule of not wearing new shoes for a long work day, but these were great!! Cute but comfortable. I got the Platinum color, which surprisingly is pretty neutral and will be versatile with clothing. The style has a longer toe, which I was a little unsure of given my shoe size (9.5), but they didn't look too crazy long on me. Fit seems pretty standard - I have a medium width foot and am usually a 9.5 in dress shoes and 10 in running shoes. The 9.5 fit perfectly right out of the box. If anything I was worried they'd stretch out too much (but seem just fine).
