I originally bought this for outdoor acoustic gigs where I knew there was no power. I wanted to plug a guitar into one input and use the wireless mic and be able to use the built in echo for both. The echo is barely usable; it doesn't sound great and not very tweakable. Also it only works on channels 1 and 3, so if you are trying to use a mandolin or 2nd guitar and go into input 2, no echo. Also, input 2 is a 3.5mm line level input. I wish it was a duplicate of input 1. The EQ is overall, so if you tweak it up for the guitar, the mic may not sound great. The wireless mic that comes with it actually sounds very good. The battery only seemed to last about 6 hours, not the advertised 12. You can bluetooth your phone to it to play music and use the mic to sing along ... MoreI originally bought this for outdoor acoustic gigs where I knew there was no power. Sound quality overall very good. Lightweight and loud enough. The ducking feature is cool but I wish it would take a little longer to release, so as to better handle the pauses in normal speech. In summary, if the mixer section was better, this thing would be perfect.

The Microphone kind of cuts in and out from time to time even with new batteries. I use ProCell Batteries which work very well with all my wireless microphones even last twice s long as any other 9v battery. i'm not sure if its the lack of range that when you cover the receiver a bit it blocks the signal or what but other than that the sound quality and volume of it are pretty impressive.I use it for small events and i have used it in instances where i need to setup many speakers so i turn this on until i get my generator working. the link out also works very well I used this once as the mixer when all i needed was an iPod and the wireless microphone to work..Also Wired microphones don't work well with this. I think that the speaker does not provide enough power ... MoreThe Microphone kind of cuts in and out from time to time even with new batteries. From time to time it works but only for a bit maybe when the battery is fully charged does it work after that the wired microphone just stops working.

This system is easy to use and sounds enormous to its size! My Ipod worked great attached to the system and the wireless microphone is a plus! My electric/acoustic guitar sounds great hooked up to it as well! Turn the volume low on your Ipod volume control and turn the mic volume up = KAROKE! Everyone loves it!

This system is a must! It has really good battery life so you can take it on the go. The microphone is good only complaint is you kind of have to keep it really close to you so it picks up. Sometime feels like you are trying to eat the mic. It really great that you can plug a guitar and another instrument or mic in to it also. I have had so much fun with this product and was well worth every penny! I have had this system now for almost 2 years and it is still working great.
I have used my Samson Portable PA twice. Both time a success. One was for an outdoor gathering of authors for a reading of their works. It worked great, no need for cords or fussing. The second use was for a chili cookoff where the MC ranged far and wide away from the PA to talk to the participants. Only briefly did he get a little far and there were a few crackles until he moved back within range - which was a long way. Both times I used the bluetooth feature to play music from smartphones. Never ran out of battery power. I also use it on a regular basis in my home for playing guitar and singing tunes. It is a great way to hear what I sound like. Thanks Sam Ash. JAS
Great little speaker, light to carry, good sound.
Have used this system before and really liked the ease of use. Good battery life and great sound.
I use this speaker in addition to another portable speaker for outside live singing performances. This baby has got some power in it! Such a well built convenient speaker. Only downfalls are the lack of audio in jack, and the weight of the speaker. This are easily overlooked by what else the speaker offers. I plan on getting very good use out of this.
Excellent sound and looks very professional.
I'm the "music friend" to everyone I know so the Samson PA system is my new best friend! I would usually have to carry two tower speakers, a receiver, speaker wire, Ipod connection, and a table to my friends' parties. Now, I take the Samson and my Ipod and in less than five minutes, we are kicking back and jamming! The sound is decent and the wireless mic makes it very fun. Also, the rechargable battery makes this PA system worth the spend. Great Job Samson!
