I spent far too long trying to find a good enough desktop mic stand to hold my setup. I use a professional condenser mic in a cradle with a pop filter because it's mainly for music production, and just moonlights as my streaming/Discord mic.But this stand is exactly what I needed. Tall enough for the cradle to clear the bottom, heavy enough that the very forward weight of the cradle doesn't topple it over, and small enough to keep on my desk when I'm not using it, making quick set up easy.

Bought this for my Audio technica AT 2020 mic with a shockmount, fits perfectly and is very sturdy yet light enough to move when needed, very solid purchase for the price

Wide base and some weight. Nice rubber ring on the bottom keeps it still on my slippery desktop. Standard fitting, i got 2, no need to play with a boom.

The mic stand itself is fine, but my Samson mic (same company) does not fit on it. The sizes and threads on either end just gave nothing to do with each other. This should have been explained (and remedied) in the product description.
If you're looking for a mike stand for professional grade desktop studio recording, the Samson Tech MD5 is an excellent choice. Good quality and the price is very reasonable.
I own 3 Samson products, for some reason, Samson understands that products made of heavy duty metal are better than plastic junk. This mic stand holds my Shure just fine, and the base is weighted so it doesnt fall over. More companies need to make solid products like Samson, things would be less prone to breaking.
The stand is well made and has plenty of heft. The shaft and attachment ring are smooth to install. Strength wise it has truly held up well on some very heavy microphones. Great value for the money spent. Definitely a buy recommendation.
I wanted a simple desk stand. I using it to hold ambient mics on either side of the room. These are surprisingly more weighty then I expected. They is no chance this stand gets knocked over by accident. Its a short stand but it works perfect for my use case because it is so low profile.
Excellent stand, with a wide base to avoid tipping over. This thing is a brick!
This has a good, steady base that screws into the Rode NT1-A shock mount well. No wobbling of the base occurs. Easier to deploy than a mic boom.
