Samsonite Andante 2 22" Wheeled Duffel Black

Love these duffels, my husband and I each have one. Perfect for camping and road trips. Durable enough to stand up to the abuse of being checked luggage, squishy enough to be jammed into small spots. Deceptively large with three compartments plus the cavernous main storage area. I use the other compartments for dirty laundry, toiletries, and shoes. Only downside is that it really isn’t going to stay standing upright when fully packed, if that’s a concern. If you’re a travel buff, this bag should be part of your collection!

I absolutely love this duffel! I love that the bottom and Top are 2 separate compartments- it makes it so easy to pack and unpack. The wheels are very good quality- I’ve been using mine for about 5 years and it is still in perfect condition. I have had so many other duffel bags that came back from a trip battered and bruised- my samsonite is always perfect! The handles are also very strong quality with no signs of ripping after many years and many trips. Do yourself a favor and buy one!

Bag had problems on 2nd and 3rd use

I have the 30" Andante. The 2nd trip I used the bag, the inner lining separating the top and bottom sections ripped at the seams leaving it partially open and therefore hard to use as a separate section. The 3rd time, the zipper of the drop bottom section separated while I was taking the bag out of a rental car bus leaving me trailing clothing out of the bag. I was able to take the zippers to the end of the bag and reengage them but it leaves me scared that the zippers will separate again on a future flight with a little rough handling of baggage handlers. Fortunately it didn't happen again on the rest of that trip or my flight home. I love the size of the bag and some of the setup but tough to recommend after quality problems with only a few uses. Dual compartment perfect for your 5-7 day trip!

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use the Andante 32" for a few weeks. This bag is very well compartmentalized allowing you to pack for multiple types of events (ski trip, beach vacation, hiking/camping, gym bag) or just a weekend getaway. The features I most appreciated can be seen in the photos I took, specifically how the bottom unzips and allows you to stow your shoes, towels, ski boots, or whatever else you want away from your clothes. The top also has ample room to pack your belongings. I fit enough clothes in to last 5-7 days! It also has side pockets to fit whatever you couldn't in the lower half of the bag. The one thing I'd do differently is to make a stand at the bottom allowing the bag to stand upright. Good product, though lacking some attention to detail

I just got my Samsonite rolling duffel bag and I'm mostly pleased. The compartment is very large (tested with at least 6 pants and 14 shirts folded, though I usually use compression bags when I travel, which I think will fit fine). I was disappointed to learn that there is only 1 exterior pocket, I thought I had seen 2 (one on either end) in the photos. However, the lone pocket seems large enough for the quart liquid bag and documents/necessities. I'm very happy with the wheels, they seem sturdy, and the handle clicks into place nicely. A major disappointment was that an entire seam on the exterior pocket missed being sewn together. The interior lining is intact, so I decided not to return it based on this. Perfect compact checkable bag

This is a nice lightweight weight checkable bag. I wanted one that would get small bc I live in an apartment that is lacking storage options so this is perfect to roll under the bed or tuck behind something. 4 different compartments was really nice to have. I jammed this super full for a trip to Mexico including 7 bottles of sunscreen, aloe, and hair products and never hit 50 lbs.The one thing I wish it had was more carrying handles on all sides of the bag. Only 2 of them (1 on top and 1 by the extendable handle) so carrying it full upstairs was a bit of a struggle.

Poor material

I have 2 Andante 22 inch carro on of this same model and after 2 flights, one of them has holes in the side that stands on The floor. The fabric is too thin, my kids have 2 off them on the previous model that are in better shape than the newer one, and you can notice the difference, the fabric is thicker. Contacted samsonite customer service and they answered I can repair them with a cost. won’t recomend it, there’s no warranty since it’s consider normal wear and tear.

Some Issues

I read all of the reviews just now after receiving this duffle because I wanted to see if they were as disappointed as I was. right away I noticed there is a zipper running the length of the bottom in the middle--which others had mentioned that the bag did not represent what was depicted when they boought it--WITHOUT A ZIPPER PULL. This bag fit the bill

Great bag...This bag has plenty of room, both in the lower and top compartments. Its sturdy and well balanced. The wheels roll easily. The two side pockets are deep and wide enough for most size shoes. Handle seem to be strong and sewn well. Only suggestions that I would make is to make the handle operate at adjustable lengths. Maybe make the handle length just a tad bit longer. Also would have like to seen a different type of bottom for the side of the bag when pulling by the handle. When standing the bag up the in wet conditions the bag drips dirt and water. More color options would be nice too. Needed an all black color. Other than that bag fit the bill.

Versatile and roomy bag

Very roomy bag that holds a great deal. Sturdy but lightweight so you're not using a lot of your baggage weight allowance on the bag! The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that it needs a bit of a redesign on the bottom end when standing up so that it doesn't tip over when full. A small "stabilizer bar" would probably do the trick. That being said, I would still buy the bag again without it.
