Samsonite Ecodiver 79 cm Wheeled Duffle - Black

Bought this as an emergency replacement when my other suitcase broke. Lots to like - spacious, hardwearing, and I like the colour. But, just does not stand up - at all. I know it's a duffel, but it has a stand (it's just too short and too far back), and frankly what appears to be Samsonite's response is from other forums is to say that it's not designed to stand up as a duffel. I call baloney - exactly how is any traveller meant to use it, as unlike a normal duffel, there is no handle which goes over the front, so you can't even lower it to the ground easily when full (the small side handle cannot be used to lift the bag when full as it will rip off).Call it what it is - just poorly thought through design. And this even stretches to the inside with small things, like the internal holding straps are just 2 inches too short to hang over the sides when you're packing, so when you've filled it, you then then need to go rooting under your clothes to find the straps. Such a shame, but really did expect better from Samsonite.

This wheeled duffel caught my eye because the soft shell of the luggage makes it look more casual and makes it easier to fit in small spaces. I'm absolutely ecstatic that I received this luggage duffel bag just before the holidays. It's spacious enough, has pockets on the sides to accommodate everything without making it look too heavy. It's quite sturdy so I'm hoping I'll be able to store my makeup case without any fear of it breaking. The zippers in the compartment are easier to hold and built to withstand quite a lot of pressure. It is catered to the modern world needs and has security combi lock with TSA function. The extra handles on the top, side, and bottom make the whole experience highly efficient and makes lifting suitcases on and off check-in scales easier. It has large pouched compartments which can fit laptop and any other tech valuable item. It is water-resistant hence I won't have to worry if something spills in-flight. It's apt to be carried around for adventures as it's durable and resistant plus the color is amazing and the stains won't show on it easily. I own 2 samsonite luggages previously but I'm definitely planning on getting more from the ecodiver line as it has more advanced features/additions.
