Buyer Beware of size for Airline Guideline Checkin

Bought this piece in Feb 23. BUYER BEWARE!! Website states carry on limitations for every airline but nothing about check in guidelines. I made assumption all check ins OK. Filter has 43 hard shell items and only 3 meet airline requirements. YES YOU CAN CHECK IN BUT IT WILL COST YOU!!! Delta charges $200 per piece for any piece over 62" total linear dimension and up to 80". We bought 2 pieces which would cost us $800 round trip - this luggage is useless if you plan to fly with pieces. I have continually reached out to Samsonite - and now returning at my expense. Very aggravating and misleading website - now I am racing to find replacement before my flight departs.. Save your money and time unless you don't plan to use on air travel.

Definitely the most recommended suitcase!

This Samsonite luggage is the most useful you’ll ever see. There’s an expander in the middle of the zippers; you could use it if you have a lot of stuff.The free form spinner spins very smoothly and doesn’t have weird noises.Super durable, I should say. The cover of the luggage is hard and strong, like it’s not easy to have a huge lump in it. The handle sits up very straight and is feels comfy when you hold it. There’s also a strap next to the handle AND a side one. The zippers run very smoothly and for over one month, still didn’t get stuck.Definitely looking very handsome in the color black. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it afterwards!!!

Disappointed!!!

The design is nice. the package that I received was not sealed completely. It was opened when it got to my house. The luggage had minor scratches, wheels were dirty, didn’t look brand new. I complained and got a replacement right away. However, the replacement is even worse. Packaging was bad, box was almost opened, Luggage still has scratches. I purchased same design from Samsonite store in Amazon, and it was an amazing experience, not sure why the true store here brought me an opposite experience. I paid $10 for shipping fee and don’t want to deal with return process, decided to stay with it. But don’t plan to come back anytime soon.

Lightweight, smooth rolling, and solid build.

This is a solid piece of luggage. I purchased this as a replacement for my previous Samsonite Tru-Frame which I loved, but someone was very careless and caused the wheels to implode into the frame. Anyway, I was almost against this model as I did not think the expandable option would hold up. It’s had amazing reviews Al across different experts so I’m giving it a try. It’s light weight and offers a bit more room than my previous. So far…quite happy. It took over six years for the other to malfunction, but honestly…I think any bag would have been damaged by the airline luggage handlers given the severity of the damage.

So great, I replaced my stolen one!

I had a Freeform for four years that unfortunately got stolen. I shopped around for a month trying to find a new carry-on. I looked at all the trendy new brands and wanted them, they were plenty sexy, but I kept coming back to the Freeform. It's lightweight, I never had any damage issues with my old one, it's international size on the outside but somehow it has larger interior capacity than those sexy competitors, plus it expands. It's everything I was looking for. The only thing I needed to get past was that I don't love the one interior pocket. I'd love a better organizational system inside.

Started out great , until it wasn't

I had this for about 4 years. Its outer shell held up well, with only a few minor scratches. The wheels kept on rolling making it easy to move. I travel for family and vacations. I flew about 6 times a year. The zippers did not hold up well. The part you grab fell off. I tries to get it repaired and or the piece replaced, but very frustrating getting anyone competent on the process on the phone. I utilized the online process, which had me paying and or driving over an hour from my home to drop off. I purchased 30 minutes from my home, although only certain locations permit drop-off for repair. I expected better from Samsonite.

Stylish and functional bag.

This carry-on is stylish, and functions well. I ordered the purple and the color is exactly as pictured. I was looking to replace my older carry-on, due to it not being a spinner. I wanted that ease a spinner gives you of getting through the airport with all of your gear. I took away one star as I missed the exterior pockets my older carry-on had for those things that you want to access in an airport without having to completely open up your bag, such as your phone charger, book, sunglasses, snacks, etc. If you also take a large purse that holds those things, this will not be a big deal for you. I do not. I only carry a phone size crossbody bag, so I needed that quick access.

Zipper Popped Open the first time used.

I purchased this suitcase as an alternative to the combinations from big box store thinking I wanted something unique and higher quality. Much to my surprise I was met at baggage claim the first time I used it by a staff member who had it on a wheeled card. She explained that the zipper had popped open despite the tabs being in the locked position. One remained connected preventing my belongings from flying everywhere. This suitcase was not over filled!The worse part the of entire experience is that I cannot get any response from Samsonite to my emails and there is no phone number anywhere to contact an actual person. I would not recommend this or any suitcase from Samsonite.
