I bring it traveling also. It is the perfect bag, in a perfect size for an adult man with a perfect shape that doesn't sag or look distorted after a month or a year. My boyfriend has the same bag in the other color for at least a year and I knew I had to get one seeing how great his has been. I highly recommend this bag!

I use this backpack daily for work, as well as for business trips and weekend trips. It is extremely spacious and the well designed zipper system and pockets allow for easy access to items. It is perfect for the office especially if you take lunch or commute. Also, has plenty of room for clothes for weekends away. I especially like the fact that even though it is spacious, it doesn't look big or bulky when you are wearing it. The backpack also stands on its own, which is a great design feature. Some of the smaller touches really set the Kombi apart, such as the leather finishes on the straps to tighten the arm straps! Great backpack!

Prior to using the Samsonite Kombi Large Backpack - Black I was using a Swiss Gear backpack. I have been using this backpack every day for my work commute over the last 2 weeks. It is a wonderful backpack for commuting on public transportation during rush hours. One cool feature is the backpack stands freely when zipped up, almost like a suitcase. However, with this Samsonite Kombi, I can fit all the same belongings and the backpack still maintains its sleek and compact form. It feels like the Kombi is manufactured better in certain areas which prevent it from bulging out. This is quite helpful when trying to stuff yourself and your belongings on a fully packed train. There are only two things that slightly bother me about this backpack. First, it is a little difficult to fit a water bottle on one side and an umbrella on the other. The side pockets are zippered and a bit small. I used to carry a 32oz water bottle daily and since switching to the Kombi, I have decided not to carry one and just leave one water bottle at home and another one at work. I keep an umbrella in one side pocket and zip it up as far as the zipper can go. The second thing I am not too fond of is how long the straps get after tightening the backpack to sit higher on your back. It is a minimal annoyance but I don't like to have the straps dangling and hitting the ground if I must hold the backpack instead of wear it. I will be traveling next weekend for a short personal and business trip and plan on using it as my only form of luggage.
This is a mighty dynamo. I wish I would of bought this years ago. It holds my 15” work laptop, iPad, and all of the charging cords/accessories. There are a dozen zippered pockets and a home for everything that you could ever need on the plane. Earbuds, headphones, pens, sanitizer, snacks, cell phone, keys , wallet etc. This bag has endless possibilities. I’ve never seen such a small compact backpack hold so much and be so invaluable. I was skeptical when I first received it, but I pack DOZENS of items into that thing and never have any issues. There’s always room for one more thing. It fits perfectly under it to seat in front of you.
I received this Samsonite Kombi Large Backpack as a sample and was not aware of it prior to receiving it. The backpack is awesome! I was able to fit my laptop, which is a rugged dell, my tablet, my pens, keys, medicine, charging cords, files and more in it. There is so much room in such a comfortable backpack. The space is well thought out compared to other backpacks I have used in the past. I am so impressed with this backpack and would buy it again if this one gets worn out. Samsonite knocked it out of the park with this one. I have used this on trips as a carry on for the expensive items I carry in it. When I got this, I was impressed with the workmanship and quality on the outside and not so much so on the inside. When I tried using it it came to that you have to access the items from the back of the bag because how it opens. Instead I gave the Novex to my daughter in college, and kept the Kombi. In black, the Kombi looks more professional. I took the Kombi on my vacation and it travelled well. But I feel strange putting a water bottle in with the nylon lining, as though it were meant for nicer things. There are 3 zippered sections on the front. The top is large enough for sunglasses in a case. The middle has the dedicated tablet pocket, a key clip, and few other pockets. It is deep enough to store my wireless mouse. The front pocket is very thin. I use it for gum and paperwork only. This is a large backpack. I was able to cram 2 days worth of clothes, my laptop and all the cables and accessories I needed into it. The laptop section will support an older 15 inch computer, but if you use the middle section it will fit a 17 inch. If need be, it can hold 2 laptops possibly 3. As I don't use it as a backpack most of the time, the padded handle on top works fine and feels sturdy. I've only had it for a couple of months, but it's showing no signs of wear.
I purchased this bag for part of my team as an end of year gift. The bags were embroidered with our company logo and they look awesome. The bags are very heavy duty look very durable. The bags are large and fit a 14inch backpack with room to spare. Finally a gift they will actually like!
Wow~ the samsonite kombi large backpack definitely has a modern business person in mind! the padding, the design, and capacity, and style definitely fits the modern day business person. its comfortable, padded well and designed well. i used to use Targus and Timbuktu backpacks, and now the Samsonsite kombi blows them out of the water with the great design. the functionality and comfort of the samsonsite kombi large is unrivaled. i've used it for 5 days and it already made a lot of difference! the only con side is that it can't fit as much as an old school backpack can, but it can definitely protect your laptop and keep it stlylish by keeping it slim and tidy, which makes it really easy to locate items. would definitely recommend the backpack!
