I have never owned any Samsonite luggage or baggage, mostly because I was under the impression that it was more outdated for my modern tastes. But when I found this sleek, modern backpack that just happened to be Samsonite, I was really impressed and surprised! The main zipper wraps all the way around the backpack sides and top, making things easily accessible inside. I have a habit of purchasing "black hole" purses, where everything I own goes to die (haha), but that won't happen in this particular Samsonite backpack. It's smaller than an average academic backpack, but large enough to hold everything my daughter and I need for day trips and/or my work-related trips. The bag is light and looks multi-purposeful for casual or business casual use. The pocket on the outside is deep and the interior is also spacious with 2 pockets for a small tablet and a laptop in the back, and other smaller pockets on the inside flap. The only thing I wish it had was an outside pocket for water bottles, or a pocket in the back exterior. Otherwise, it's very functional, spacious, looks great (the gold zippers are smooth and gives it a nice touch), and is easy to clean.

I was hoping for a backpack that was stylish and on the smaller side. This one appeared to be what I was looking for. It just arrived, and it feels boxy and a bit big. Upon measuring with seamstress tape measure, the width from seam to seam is slightly bigger than advertised, and it even bulks out beyond that. In addition, the photo appeared to show a v-shape, but reality is that it is more squared (adding to the larger feel). Worst part, though, is that the straps do not allow for snug adjustments, and it forces the bag to hang uncomfortably low. Overall, this bag feels big and sloppy. I am disappointed with this purchase, particularly with the incorrectly-advertised measurements.

My biggest complaint with this bag is there is no padding around the pocket where you would put a computer or tablet. This means that if you have too much in the bag, once you put it on your back your computer is stabbing you in the shoulder. Loved this bag! It’s comfortable, versatile, packs a lot more than you think and keeps things snug and organized. I bought it to take with me for a conference. I was able to fit my 13” laptop, a notebook, water bottle, all kinds of chargers, a light fleece jacket and was still able to shove several conference freebies on top! Loved that the zippers open all the way to bottom, making it easy to pack and unpack! All this AND it looks super trendy and professional! Also, it was the perfect size for my petite frame. The only feature I missed a couple times was not having a side pocket made my water bottle slightly harder to access, but not a huge problem compared to all the benefits!
I use this for work everyday and it fits my laptop, lunch, water bottle and personal items. The look is sleek and the fabric is wipeable. The interior compartments work for me, especially the interior laptop pocket. There is not much padding in the back, so a different bag would probably be more comfortable if you are wearing it for long periods. The only downside for me is how bendable the overall bag is. Other Samsonite backpacks can be sturdy and structured so they hold their shape even when empty. This backpack only holds its shape when full; once you starting putting items in, the uneven weight can make it fall over. Overall, a nice, lightweight, flexible backpack.
