I think a design flaw is also partly to blame, where the zips can be twisted and then snap off under very little pressure.Highly recommend you stay away from samsonite and use another brand that makes higher quality suitcases.

Absolutely waste of money. After one use (by plane) the suitcase came back smashed as in the picture. Very poor quality product, total robbery and because it happen due to air travel there is no guarantee to fix it.Save your money and stay away from it!

Great, functional, high quality and also good looking suitcase. I would perhaps buy again. However... the inner lining is not washable as described, it cannot be fully removed without unscrewing some screws that also are connected to the wheels. we tried and tried and also reached out to customer service who just sent us the same branded video that is available on youtube (cheers for that but we got that one figured out already .-) In any way, the featured suitcase in the video seems to be slightly different? So the problem remains.therefore only 3 stars
Having this suitcase for a business trip to London is just a great feeling. Pure quality and design.Very happy with this purchase!
Lucky enough to be given a substantial amount via a samsonsite birthday voucher, otherwise wouldn't have entertained buying a Samsonite. This 55cm suitcase had a ridiculous high price of £245....... However, really happy with it, feels good quality and no squeaky wheels yet! The extending zipper gets in the way when using the normal zip so can be quite fiddly at times. Only time will tell whether it was worth the immense cost, at least it has a descent 5 year warranty.

The size was good for airplane carry on. The bad thing is that the zipper broke on one suitcase and then the handle broke on another on the very first trip. The quality of samsonite is not what it used to be.
I've used this case for several trips thus far and it works as a carry-on case. The expansion mechanism is poorly executed in comparison to the external zip (it has two sets of internal zips instead), the surface finish looks cool when it's brand new, but is already very scratched (shows as white on the matte surface) and I am very careful when moving it in and our of the overhead bins. it only has a retainer on one side of the case and the other a removable slip-in style section, I would expect two zip-sides at this price point.
Good suitcase, very lightweight and very sleek design. Easy to store under bed when not in use. The divider is very nice and keeps things flat. Not afraid of spills inside as the liner is washable and I can wipe down the inner hard surface.The zipper for the expansion however, is a bit hard to reach when tucked in, which could be a good or bad thing. Very light weight that you almost think it will break but it won't.
