Initially looked like a very nice suitcase, very lightweight and mobile, but once I filled it (18kg) and lifted it up I had my doubts that handle is going to handle the weight. It did. But I seriously doubt if it can hold any extra kg. And definitely not for 5y of warranty that that is given.And quite disappointingly after only one trip it got bent in the corner (I managed to push it back in place from the inside but not completely) and soooo many scratches that it looks only a fraction better than my much cheaper 6y old suitcase... and there is an obvious indentation line now that is going to bend now every time with any sort of the pressure.

We love these cases, they feel very sturdy and durable, but the test of use is still to come, although with a 5 year guarantee we feel quite confident. Liked the extra pockets inside for paperwork etc. Loved the little hidden tag by the handle for the included address label, we liked the fact that it's tucked away out of sight but handy if needed. Handles all feel strong and the adjustable handle has many different levels which is great. The zips are very neat too, and the zip to expand even has expand written on it, so you'll not get them muddled when trying to open the case. We got yellow as it's easy to see on the carousel, just hope not too many people have the same idea.

I bought this case for a trip to Canada as I needed something big enough for 10 nights of clothing to suit various temperatures from East and West coasts. It is super light, and can expand which is very useful if you are shopping. The wheels are excellent and it simply glides along. The lock is easy to secure and saves padlocks or any other locks. I bought the midnight blue which is dark so doesn't show scratches from baggage handling, but also less boring than black. The only downside for me and why I reduced it by one star to 4 star is that the zip is a little sticky going round the edges and it took a bit of fiddling to get it zipped up, particularly when extended. I had a fear that it would stick or break but fortunately it did not - but then it is brand new!

This case is robust but lightweight and has loads of space. Using it expanded to pack and then closing the expander zip allowed me to fit everything I needed and to meet airline 20kg limit. The only comment I have is that because of the central position of the zip, the handle is not central. However since most of the time I was wheeling it, that didn't matter. It was very easy to wheel it and as long as you pack evenly between the top and bottom sections, it is very stable. I might add a luggage strap just to give a little more protection to the zip being under strain round the middle.
This has a solid but flexible casing and is of a good size. The casing has a 'wavey' design which makes it easy to pick out at baggage reclaim, even though it is dark blue. It is spacious inside and expands a bit as well. The wheels work smoothly. I found it impossible to work out how the lock works and had to ring up to find out. Now I know it works well, but it is far from obvious. The only part of the case I have a concern about is the zip, which appears somewhat flimsy. Overall, I am happy with it.

As it was not stuffed full to the brim the zip "collapsed in on itself". This would not happen if the suitcase were filled or overfilled.A small "nick" was taken out of the plastic part of the zip during it's journey via baggage handling but the rest of the case survived very well despite it being very "soft" to the touch and easily deformable. This may well be it's strength as it was not dented or otherwise damaged by baggage handling although it has incurred minor "grazing" along it's edges. Only time will tell if this detracts from the expected lifespan of the suitcase. This is the first luggage I have ever bought with my own money. Based from my past experiences with Samsonite, I was confident with the quality of their bags. However, nothing can be said with this luggage. On my first ever trip using this luggage, the zipper already broke off and there were visible scratches and bumps already. It looked like I had the luggage for years now. The outer shell was flexible but I'm afraid that it will crack one of these days and I don't think the handle can carry the weight of the things inside the luggage. Although the Samsonite customer service was great because I got the zipper fixed easily. All in all, I do not recommend anyone getting this luggage and I regret buying it.
I wanted a brightly coloured suitcase that would stand out. I found a cheerful bright yellow Samsonite. The sales assistant in the Oxford Street branch tactfully suggested it also came in grey, blue or black. I feel in a holiday mood looking at the yellow case and know that no one will accidentally take it off the carousel.The exterior of the case is strong and the wheels feel secure. The interior is spacious with useful zipped spaces. Yes it was expensive but I'm very happy with it. And yes, strangers approach me and tell me how they like my suitcase. I'm extremely happy with it.

Unfortunately experienced the same issue with both my cabin bag and the larger 81cm bag. On two separate occasions, the zipper has bent out of place and cannot be inserted in the TSA approved lock, thus making it redundant unless you use a manual lock and key. This happened to my small cabin bag and then again to the larger suitcase on a separate trip. Not too fussed about having it repaired because I know it'll happen again - seems to be made out of flimsy metal. Would choose a different model because of this. Not the quality you'd expect from Samsonite.
