I’m disappointed with the bag so far. While the volume is good and it’s large as promised the back support is poor and the bag isn’t comfortable to walk around with. My previous Samsonite bag was great and I used it for many years. Unfortunately I can’t see myself using this bag for long time.

Great quality construction. I like that it keeps it's shape. Fits under the seat and the top handle makes it easy to pull out from under the seat. Has plenty of interior organization. 15" MacBook fits nicely and is well protected. Shoulder straps offer plenty of cushion. If I could add anything it would be a sternum strap.

Technically, I would rate this backpack a 4 1/2 star. Storage wise, it's smaller than my last laptop backpack, but I bought it for that very reason - so that it easily fits under an airplane seat. I've had it for almost 3 months now and on half a dozen trips. The bag has done fine. This is my second xenon bag, and my prior one held up great. I expect this one to perform equally as well. There are two areas of improvement that would make this bag a 5 star for me. 1. As others have mentioned, this bag would better if it had a small padded strip at the bottom of the laptop sleeve. 2. I wish there were a few more internal zippered pockets in the front compartment for the storage of travel accessories. It has a few, but could benefit from a few more. Otherwise, it's a ... This backpack is well designed and made for business users or college students. After my son's backpack was broken from normal usage when he was a sophomore, I gave him my 2-year old business backpack (Xenon 3.0) as a replacement since he was in a rush going back to NYC. He also liked it, and now he is a senior student at NYU. If Samsung is listening, it could be improved by using different (lighter) colored interior lining to make it easier for users to find things in its pockets in a darkened conference room.
What I love about this bag: it sits upright for ease of access, lots of functional pockets, strong material, comfortable on the shoulders and back, plenty of space for lunch container to sit flat. What I would improve: due to the weight (when full with laptop, lunch etc.) a chest strap would improve weight distribution on the body and comfort, and I'd make it waterproof. Very happy with the purchase.
I have had this backpack for about 4 months and it has had very light use. I don't carry it daily, but use it for my work laptop and papers when I travel, and it has only been on 2 trips so far. It fits a good amount and I like the laptop sleeve, but the main compartment zipper has been broken almost since the beginning. The zipper teeth just come apart, and boom -- the whole backpack is hanging open. I will no longer be using this backpack because I cannot guarantee the safety of whatever I put inside. I've only heard good things about Samsonite, so I am very disappointed in the quality of this backpack.
This is my second purchase of the Xenon 3 backpack. I purchased one for teenage son as his school backpack and I was so impressed by the storage space that I got one for myself too. Most backpacks don't have enough space to carry my lunch box but the middle section is so large that it takes it easily. Plenty of room fro my 15 inch laptop, plus lots of additional space to store the tech equipment that we all carry these days.
Really like the layout and pockets for this bag, HOWEVER, the laptop compartment zip opened itself on a number of occasions whilst on my back. The first time resulted my girlfriends Macbook Air (which I was borrowing) falling out of the bag and landing on the road damaging the laptop (☹️ not the news you really want to deliver...) . Moving forward, I tried to work around the situation by ensuring that zips were placed all the way to the bottom side of the bag, making sure the internal compartment velcro strap over the top of the laptop was in place and lightening the load placed in the bag. However, to no avail, the bag continued to open. After a few close calls, where I felt the movement of the bag opening and barely caught my laptop before it flew out of the ... The bag material was very robust and the air channel system was great for keeping my back cool. If there were stronger zips and clip in side tabs on the bag as a backup to prevent the compartments opening in the case of zip failure, this would be an amazing bag. Would be happy to receive suggestions from the Samsonite team on an alternate bag option or if there may be the possibility of an improved Xenon 4 bag that overcomes these issues!
I love the size and durability of the Xenon 3.0. I also love that it stays upright when placed on the ground. The pockets are roomy and there are many compartments for books, notes, laptop, ipad, etc. I use a 20oz water bottle and it fits perfectly in the the side pocket. The fabric is high quality. I was disappointed with my JanSport and decided to spend a little extra on this. So glad I did!
I used this backpack almost every day on a seven week tour of UK last year. Perfect in every way. Strong & generous grab handle. Fits easily on extending handle of main luggage. Very comfy straps whether thrown over one shoulder or both. Seperate sleeves for different clothing items. Larger capacity area for more bulky/awkward items. Easy access to everything. Plenty internal organiser pockets - some with zips. External zips of good quality & always stayed in place. When this 30 litre bag is used in conjunction with a carefully packed wheeled cabin size bag - my days of checked in baggage are ancient history - perfect combo.
