Samsung 27 Inch FHD Curved Monitor LC27R500FHEXXY

It’s a decent monitor for the price. 1st time trying a curved screen. I didn’t want an ultra wide curved screen, so I decided to try this one over LG since all their cured screens are ultra wide. As I said, decent monitor for the price, however at 32 inches I think you are better off going with a higher resolution screen. The 1080 is just not enough. I can see pixels when looking at text and large images. Again, the alternative is a lot more expensive, so for the price this is a good monitor. I think I’m going to return it, and go with a flat 32 inch LG, with higher resolution. Ultimately I think not seeing pixels trumps the curved screen for me. I do t think I will go with an ultra wide tough, as I don’t want to have to deal with resizing windows a lot.

Amazing Technology and truly wonderful monitor

when my job decided to enforce a work from the home position, my old monitor just could not keep up with things. i decided to look for something bigger and more robust. so while shopping i came across the samsung curved monitor. i spent an hour looking at it, i examined the back panel to see if it would fit on my monitor mount, reviewed the technical specs and functionality for performance and extended use and it all checked my required boxes. i love this product.

Beautiful Picture But...

This monitor displays a beautiful image. With a small amount of visual tweaking it works well for my needs. I replaced an aging 28" monitor with this and am very happy with the overall performance. I'm not a gamer, so I cannot speak to the performance in that regard, but as a desktop monitor it is beautiful. Just a couple of complaints though. First, every time I wake the system to begin working, the screen displays output information and adjustment information for a brief time. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance. My biggest complaint has more to do with my decision to purchase this monitor. I was looking for the largest screen I could place on my desk/hutch. Because of the design of the base of this unit, the left and right edges extend 9" from the back of the work surface. Not a big deal except my desk is 24" deep. That puts this monitor too close to my chair for comfortable viewing. I find myself having to scoot away from the desk when doing extensive reading. No reflection on the quality of the monitor at all, just not an ideal size for my application. if I had it to do over again, I would have chosen a flat monitor with a different base configuration. I am adjusting my viewing habits and positions because of the quality of the monitor as well as the price.

Curved = Flexible

A simple setup for work scenario when you don't have a large desk but still want to secure the best experience. Overall, the display is adequate for most office jobs especially sheets and docs, and the curved style makes all contents focused and contributes less light reflection. Colors are fairly adjusted to the entry-level. Basically, this is a decent budget large monitor for basic work and video experience. Simply by plugging in the cable and enjoy it.

Durable as heck

I bought this monitor after an incident with cats knocking over and destroying my other monitors. Right away I loved the colour, clarity and noticeable less strain on my eyes after a long work day. It has taken 2 tumbles from the desk due to furry demons, and not only does it still work, but not a scratch on it. I have now replaced my other monitors with this one. Definitely holding up with my experience with other Samsung products being durable. My one regret is not going with it sooner.

Exceptional Value At Affordable Price

I bought this monitor in April 2020 after lot of searching for similar monitors in Seoul, South Korea. I even went to a local new and old electronics market. There are even some other cheaper Korean brands that offer curved screen monitors but after few days of searching and testing all the monitors I decided to buy this form official Samsung digital center. I am glad I made the right decision and the bazel-less design looks so sleep and smart on the desk and also better viewing experience. Because of its size and being curved screen you can easily read the whole screen and view is excellent and no distortion. I have connected it to my laptop but even opening two windows on the monitor itself is easy and still good size to work on with ease. The joystick at the back of monitor is very easy to use and also the setup is very simple and straightforward. Just wish Samsung included a small screwdriver to tighten the two screen in the stand. Overall very happy and satisfied as much less strain on eyes and productivity has increased too. If you are planning to buy an additional monitor to attach to a laptop as most of us are working from home, go for a curved screen and you will not regret it and 27inch is very ideal not too big and not too small as it can both be used for work and watching movies or games.

Finally , a nice 4k monitor

I returned the asus 28” 4k and a Samsung 32” hd monitor, because they looked so dull and washed out. My dell xps has a really nice glossy 4k screen, but it’s only 15”. I wanted a companion monitor, but hate all those crappy matte monitors. This one is very good. Bright and good colors. I’m not a gamer, but appreciate a good monitor. This one isn’t too expensive either. Picked it up for $360 on sale. Next step up is the lg ultrafine, but it’s $750. A little too expensive. This one is great. Good quality stand too. Goes up and down and tilts nicely. Need to move the stand to turn.

I thought samsung curved monitors are expensive

During the Father's Day of 2021, I was thinking of replacing my son's monitor both for gaming and distance learning. I did not consider curved monitors thinking they are lot more expensive. Then I came across this from Best Buy. I did not have second thought being a Samsung brand. It's a best worth of my money, cheaper than other brands. I had no regrets. The design is simple, perfect addition to my son's room. I wonder why it got below "4" rating. You need to use HDMI cable for best result, not the old VGA cable.

Its moderately good, could be better.

I just bought this yesterday, Its not bad, but is low res, text is not crisp. There are no speaker, but on my bigger monitor speaker suck anyway. Installed seperate speaker and the sound is nice. The menu button is a bit awkward. Auto set up was great although some visual warning would have been nice, panicing at first because screen was black and there is only one hmdi port.

Samsung 27# FHD Curved Monitor

I decided I needed a monitor to have a larger workspace /screen in order to place photos and create text on a digital platform - not a school yearbook, but a similar format. I didn't have a particular brand in mind so started out being open-minded as to what to look for. Reviewing what was on the floor at Best Buy, after having done some research on line, I zeroed in on a Samsung flatscreen, but swung over to the curved screen after the sales person explained it was not just for gamers. Wow! What an awesome device. Am very happy with it. Great resolution. Easy on the eyes. Perfect for my application. 5/5.
