I don't understand that because in the long run, Samsung will damage it's reputation so why ignore your customers, and why release updates that break tv's instead of making them better. My conclusion is that I'm very happy with my tv, and I've been one of the lucky people to receive it not bent, and luckily have the later update which hasn't broken my tv yet. But it's in the back of my head everyday knowing my tv might update itself randomly and ruin my image quality which loyal customers shouldn't have to worry about. So for anyone interested of buying this tv, your basically entering a lottery and you might win or lose. You might get a bent tv or not. And your software might be the troublesome one or not. It's a weird situation to be honest.

It's cool that you can recharge it with solar energy or through USB C. - all 4 HDMI inputs are 2.1, and support 120Hz 4K gaming using VRR. - for a TV it has terrific sound. Actually very good for checking out the mix quality of my work. - I'm very happy with the option to have this delivered at home and setup by RTV Euro. - I wish I had an option to pay to upgrade the software so that it supports Android TV, since some apps like F1 TV only work after I got a Chromecast 4k. - viewing angles are incredible. - the blacks on this TV are perfect, and there's no bleed from white letters on black backgrounds. You will still get really good audio while watching movies/series or gaming where I was actually impressed because I was able to hear a few distinct sounds which I’d only heard on good headphones. The bass is way too shallow though but thankfully not in an annoying way. OS: 5/10 I’ll just come out and say it - the OS on this TV is below average when it comes to apps. The selection of apps is limited and some of the less popular apps ( like Voot in my case) are buggy as hell. Netflix, Prime and DisneyHotstar run great on the platform though and I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the internet browse on this TV. Bonus rating - Remote: 10/10 The look and feel of the remote are amazing but that not all. The buttons are well placed and navigation using the remote is very easy. There are dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime as well.

The picture quality is good, but unfortunately basically everything else about this TV is frustrating! This is my fourth Samsung TV, and this is easily the worst by some margin. I definitely wish I hadn't have bought it. First up: the build quality is poor. The stand comes in two parts which you need to screw together, but the screw holes don't line up properly. It's awkward. Then you have two panels to snap in place, but only one side snaps in and the other does not snap. It feels cheap and really poor quality, which is not what I expected for such an expensive TV. The "Samsung Hub" feature is such a massive step back in terms of usability from what they had before. The absolute worst thing about this TV, though, is that it automatically turns on connected devices without me asking. The Hub (which it shown by default) has a "recent device" option, and that tries to show the picture of whatever device was last connected. For me, that's a PS5, so the TV turns the PS5 on every single time I turn on the TV. So whenever I want to do anything with the TV I have to switch the TV on, the PS5 annoyingly gets turned on as well, and then I need to wait for it to boot up, turn it off manually, and then go ahead and use my TV as I would normally. It's the most frustrating thing ever, and I already hate it after one day of ownership! You can't turn it off without turning off all connected devices operability, which would make my Samsung soundbar not work properly! Just this one thing alone is enough to make me want to return the TV. I would have returned this TV already, but I performed a trade-in on the Samsung website for this, and the terms state that I won't get my old TV back if I return it. So now I'm stuck with this *much* worse model. I really regret my purchase. I think this one will find it's way onto eBay soon enough. So disappointing.

I have the late model nVidia shield TV which has AI upscaling. I thought the Shield's upscaling was good until I saw how well the S95B upscales - honestly, it's like magic. Even low bit-rate video looks great. The TV seems to smooth out the jaggies that make lower resolution video look terrible when sharpened, yet it also sharpens, while keeping all the smooth curves that would usually be destroyed by the sharpening process. I don't know how they do it, but it's blimmin' awesome! Watching Sky Sports Now on this TV is the best it's ever looked. All four of the HDMI inputs are HDMI 2.1, so gamers should be happy. I was a little unsure of getting a TV with Tizen rather than Google TV, but most of the apps I want seem to be there. The inbuild Plex app is good and another thing this TV does better than my nVidia Shield, is that it decodes AAC 5.1 surround and sends it to my receiver over ARC, so I now get 5.1 on a lot of the HEVC movies I have, which so often encode the audio as AAC 5.1. My nVidia Shield TV would just send it as a stereo stream. One slight issue I have with this TV is that it sometimes thinks a dark scene is a static screen and it suddenly dims. I believe this is the screensaver kicking in to prevent burn-in, but it's kicking in when it shouldn't. I have seen other users complain of this and I have reported it to Samsung, so hopefully they fix it in a future firmware update.

It can also update to new, broken updates even if you turn off auto update so beware. I've now disconnected my TV from the internet. I've resorted to using a Chromecast with Google TV which now acts as my OS for the TV. Therefore I've lost an HDMI port and gained an extra TV controller. Annoyingly, the are rumours of new Samsung TVs having Android/Google TV so they just realise Tizen must not be fit for purpose. The smart remote lacks a dedicated input and settings button. You can reach the quick settings but you'll need a few more clicks to reach the settings menu you actually want to use. As noted above, you'll be changing the settings on most channel changes so it doesn't look too overblown or skin looks red. Aside from the fantastic QD-OLED screen technology, I feel this TV is far inferior to my 2017 Sony TV. I feel Samsung have rushed this out the door and new firmwares are making it worse and removing features (most frustrating is the peak highlights in any mode other than dynamic). I would recommend the panel but not anything else about the TV. Stupidly I believed the hype and recommended this set to my mother before I had a chance to spend much time with it. We are very happy with our purchase, especially with the generous discount vs RRP. The in-store service and delivery by JB were good - knowledgeable, happy and helpful. We were shopping to replace our 12 year old 42" Panasonic plasma. (Not bright enough in our room for morning world cup soccer!) We need a TV that works well in a bright room. We also need a wide viewing angle and most of the QLED and LED TVs lose quality when viewed from wider angles - that limited our choice to the OLED TVs (LG, Sony, Hisense). The in-store service and delivery by JB were good - knowledgeable, happy and helpful. We were shopping to replace our 12 year old 42" Panasonic plasma. (Not bright enough in our room for morning world cup soccer!) We need a TV that works well in a bright room. We also need a wide viewing angle and most of the QLED and LED TVs lose quality when viewed from wider angles - that limited our choice to the OLED TVs (LG, Sony, Hisense). (Sony too expensive for us, Hisense X8H not on display?). Samsung OLED was the champion for minimising screen reflections while viewing. In the JB HiFi Hobart store it was only displaying a screen saver, but still very obvious that the direct reflections were much lower than the LG. So that was how we chose the new Samsung OLED. Reviewers noted a pink cast to the screen in bright rooms when not switched on or when playing dark scenes. That is true, but most noticeable viewed from very wide angle and not noticed at all when watching any program, even in daylight. There is some kind of magic here, that the reflections on the screen are really only noticed from very wide angles and disappear at any normal viewing angle. Check it out for yourself in store. The Samsung remote control is different and has taken us time to adjust. Not yet used voice control, so switching text captions on/off is tedious. The free Samsung TV Plus channels include some fabulous wildlife documentaries (Love Nature channel and others) - encouraging another safari that will cost way more than the TV :-( We do not have 4k disc player or any HD streaming subscription and we are not into gaming, so cannot comment on the 4K or gaming performance - but the reviews are excellent. Even on SD free to air TV we are seeing more detail than ever before. We did invest a lot of time reading reviews including on techradar.com and on rtings.com. rtings.com has a specific page devoted to reporting measurements of reflections on TV screens. The new Samsug OLED is not listed on that "reflections" web page, but the measurements are available within the main review of the S95B. Screen reflections are an important factor for us. This is a great TV that works well for us in our bright room. It is truly sensational when the sky gets dark.
Fabulous TV and value for money for a 65 inch 4K OLED TV. Overall I am extremely impressed at both the image quality and the sound from the built-in speaker system. Out of the box when it arrived, the TV needed some tweaking to its settings but once calibrated the picture really popped and has extremely natural colours, great contrast and smooth motion. The sound is also impressive considering how thin this set is, excellent low frequency response (mine is on a stand and about 20-30cm from the wall) and plenty of punch. Initially the operating system and smart features were responsive and easy to operate. The biggest issue though has been with the latest firmware update, which from what I have read is not just me. In December 2022 my TV updated to firmware 1420.9 and since then I've had a number of issues, some annoying. First of all the picture quality lost its pop and sharpness, as well as some of the brightness. I have though managed to readjust the settings and restore this to an acceptable level. However more annoyingly is that on many occasions, the TV will do a cold start when switched on - i.e. displaying the OLED logo and then taking almost a minute before I use the settings. I've no idea why it keeps doing this, I've tried unplugging and resetting the TV but it seems to randomly decide to do a cold start out of standby. Another issue I've noticed with firmware 1420.9 has been the frequency of the automatic screen optimisation feature - it keeps popping up every few days and sometimes interrupts my watching, turning the TV off and then having to wait 10-15 minutes! I've also noticed the channel list sometimes is sluggish, especially on start up and randomly it turns on my AV amplifier over HDMI - even though I have the built-in speakers selected. I really hope Samsung will issue a new firmware update soon to rectify these issues and restore the stability and quality of the product that was present in the previous firmware version. Despite these grumbles and annoyances though I still love the TV. I've no idea though how I'll move it if I need to decorate or move house as it's one of the most fragile sets I've come across! The screen is unnecessarily thin and would be very easy to bend if not careful. Oh... and one final thing. Despite my best efforts with the Samsung smart things app, I have yet been able to use Alexa to turn on the TV reliably. Turning it off is fine though! :-)
After seeing this unit was only $300 more than the QN85 model in the Black Friday sales, I jumped at the opportunity, especially given the glowing reviews and benefits over the afrementioned models. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and it is amazing. Colours are clear and bright and don't bleed. The image is not only sharp but motion is very smooth. This is a far upgrade from my Bravia panel. It also seamlessly integrates with my existing amp (Yamaha). I guess my only issue is the remote it almost too simple, but I haven't really played with the options for it yet. That said, it is solar chargable AND plugs into a standard USB-C charger. Setup was uber-easy and given I'm a Samsung users, even more so. Talking about the apps & system, everything I need was there, including the usual streaming vendors plus the smaller ones and Plex. The biggest disappointment was the Samsung Streaming service, but I have found a few things on there that look okay, so maybe not so bad?? Overall, I was a little worried about buying a Samsung. I have a smaller one in the bedroom, which works well but is simple and limited. I need not have worried, this engineering marvel functions well, looks great and can produce a picture far beyond anything my poor eyesight can truly appreciated.

The Samsung's brighter picture and anti-reflective tech reduces screen glare and enhances viewing experience during the day but equally goes to a different level all together at night. Also really impressed with the upscaling of non 4k content. Have read reviews of people saying the picture and voice is out of sync. I have not experienced this at all. I suggest if you are experiencing this to either check your internet signal to see if it's causing lag or exchange your set as you may have been unlucky and got a faulty one. I have also found the home interface to be responsive and easy to navigate. I've used Samsung TV's before, so maybe i'm used to the way they set things up. Downsides...... not many. Sometimes the home interface is trying to be too smart and if you recently watched a blu-ray or DVD, the "Recent" option on the home screen launches the device automatically, which is annoying. You can probably switch this off, just having figured that out yet.
