Great but not quite user friendly remote

Love the picture. Super simple setup as far as connecting to other items such as phones, Computers, Bluetooth devices etc. Sound is BAD with onboard speakers. PLAN on using external speakers such as Bluetooth or optical speakers. The remote is severely simple with no options for anything except going to the menu and drilling down for ALL settings such as picture size, inputs or any settings at all. The tv integrates very easily with your cable provider as well as does the remote control. As much as I despise the remote control and the onboard speakers I would absolutely buy this tv again as the picture is phenomenal. Be advised, it is heavy, about 75 lbs so you'll need help installing......but it's worth it!

I looked around for quite awhile debating on the type and quality of tv to get. Since this was my first real new tv I wanted a nice one for a theatre/game room for everyone to enjoy. I was really going back and forth with the oled, neo and regular qled and settled on the regular mainly bc of price. I didn’t want to spend too much. But so far I am very pleased with the picture and experience. Sound is great but we prefer a sound bar with rear speakers which we setup instead for a more complete theatre experience. Really the only downside is the Samsung smart interface. Can be tricky to navigate . We prefer the Roku setup instead. The remote is very basic also but the solar and charging feature is pretty nice.

Overall, I really like this TV and have been pleased with my purchase. The picture quality, color and brightness are top notch. The sound quality is decent for a flat screen unless you have a larger room, then plan on using a soundbar. I also really like that the remote is rechargeable, either by sunlight or you can plug it in via usb.As far as the negatives go, there are a few. When the screen goes completely black, there are some areas (spots) that are lighter and have like a ghosting look. I don't think that this is normal and I may have to contact warranty support on this. Next, while there are 3 HDMI ports, 1 of them must be used by the soundbar in order to take advantage of some features, so that leaves you with only 2 usable HDMI ports. The next negative is the Samsung smart tv software, which is just a mess in general. Need to change inputs? You have to use the smart tv software which just adds so many unnecessary steps. Want to watch live OTA broadcasts? You've got to use the smart tv software. Need to change the settings? Yep, you guessed it, scroll through the convoluted smart tv software and find them. Last on my list of negatives, is the remote, which does not have an input button! Please, for the sake of my families sanity, put the input button back where it belongs, on the remote!

Great quality, great picture, poor sound
1 February 2022

I am about a month in with this TV so far. Samsung is really starting to get it right. The connectivity options are fantastic, the picture is great and the streaming services work very well. I would like to see the Tizen software updated to have a more friendly user interface. Have a look at what others are doing with their user interface (Google TV, chromecast, AppleTV, Roku etc.) to have a more integrated experience. It is also quite evident that the Smart TV apps are slower to update/upgrade than other platforms. I use a Google TV dongle to run my television instead of the Tizen features about 85% of the time as the result of the apps being more pleasing to use and the AI features about what I am watching across platforms is much more appealing within the Google ... MoreI am about a month in with this TV so far. I should note I don not have a cable subscription service so it is likely more noticeable for me than most.Sound is an issue and cords are an issue. I do not want cords hanging from my wall and do not want to mount a soundbar on my fireplace to ruin the pleasingly smooth aesthetic I currently have. It would be nice if Samsung wither made more powerful sounding speakers in the TV or a nice suite of wireless speakers that can enhance the sound.Picture on the TV is beautiful and crisp. I also wish there were more 60 inch options for televisions.

I’d recommend. Expensive but it’s a great product

I bought this TV few days ago, replacing an old Samsung. So far just a few tips for you if you’re looking to buy;Picture quality is definitely 4k HDR, I just find that at set up, it’s rather really poor, you have to tune the pictures to better suit your needs and you may need to keep changing these values in picture settings for different streaming apps.I did find that it has a great number of free streaming apps already loaded, and then ofcourse the Samsung TVplus is a great feature as well. You have to play around with the settings to get the best audio and visual quality that suits your needsIt’s an amazing purchase and really flat as well. Viewing angles are impressive as well.Early days, I’m still figuring out if it’s worth over a thousand pounds.

Lots of great features
11 October 2022

We bought two Samsung TVs early this year, a 75-inch for the family room and a 55-inch for our Master bedroom. They are both astoundingly great providing us with excellent entertainment, especially during the confining season of the epidemic supported by their excellent crystal clear pictures and sound. We were able to enjoy several of our favorite shows, streaming online or through the cable with so much to choose from available from the TV features. Another excellent feature is the remote control which doesn't require changing the battery. It charges itself via room lighting and can also charge via USB-C if needed. Also download the app "Smart Thing" for your smartphone to remotely control or integrate your latest Samsung appliances.

Nice picture! Delivery was exceptional!
5 June 2023

Sam's club customer service was GREAT! I purchased this TV for just under $1,200. While waiting for a delivery date, the price dropped to just under $900. Sam's club did not hesitate in issuing a $300+ credit! The delivery by AIT was great! On time, great communication and very respectful of my time constraints. The lack of a 5th star is because of Samsungs crappy app store. I previously had a 4K firestick on my TV. I tried using the built-in app program--absolute garbage!! There is NO app store. I went looking for apps I had on my firestick, non-existent! My biggest disappointment was the lack of preview as I fast forward through material on Philo, Hulu, Disney, Netflix--NONE. You just have to guess when to hit play. Especially annoying when fast forwarding through ... MoreSam's club customer service was GREAT! I purchased this TV for just under $1,200. Pretty Good Value!
19 July 2022

I’m enjoying this new TV very much although it is quite a step down from the Q90T we purchased in 2020. Our Q90T was damaged and we weren’t able to get a replacement from Samsung so we decided to buy a cheaper version of their QLED TV offering. For about half the price of the Q90T, I didn’t expect it to be on par with the Q90T but I was a bit let down by a few things. I’m used to a backlit TV with good contrast and deeper blacks now so the edge lit screen looks a bit weird to me when the screen attempts to go black for a moment or when watching letterbox content the black edges look too bright and are a bit distracting. The other colours are great and I love that it’s 120hz refresh rate. It was a decent purchase and great value for an open box at under 1K. Where is Steam App in Canada for this TV?
23 November 2022

The TV itself works good, BUT.... I bought this TV (QN55Q70AAFX) because Samsung's adverts for this particular TV model claimed to have the Steam App. Well, not so in Canada! I called Samsung Canadian support 1 year ago, right after buying my TV, and they said that it would likely come sometime soon, so I hung on to this TV. To my disappointment, they have not added Steam, and doesn't have hardly any apps when compared to the Sony brand in Canada. If 3rd party apps are important, or if you want to use with your Steam account, I would skip this model. Tip. Confirm if the App you want is available by actually seeing it for yourself, before you buy any new TV. @Samsung Support...
