Samsung 85 Inch Q60D QLED 4K Smart TV QA85Q60DAWXXY [2024]

This TV replaced my Samsung 3D HD 48" whose panel went recently. Out of the box the picture didn't impress me, but once I'd gone into the TV picture settings, wow! It blew me away. I already had the Samsung sounder and sub woofer which the tv found straight away and the sound is amazing. I was also impressed with the 2 motion speakers behind the screen that pics up a moving object to concentrate the sound from that separate to the sound bar. It's so realistic! The colour, contrast and basic settings I had to adjust to suit my own eyesight, and then there were lots more picture settings to play with. It's just like being at the cinema and every evening is a pleasure to turn it on and just sink back and relax. I can't fault it. It suited my budget and didn't break the bank. I'd recommend this TV to anyone looking for a brilliant TV at a very competitive price. It out competes the Samsung 3D I had in every way.

This TV is what I would call "functions as expected for anything you use". So, in saying that. I have a lot of Samsung TVs, phones %26 Odyssey Neo G7 Monitor. Having those from the TU and CU series, the Q60D is not one of those in the terms of frequent loss of internet connections, overly aggressive ABL and crashing of apps. It works, as expected for any product that you have to spend a little extra for "better", but shouldn't just to have something reliable. It is QD, but, having Quantum Dot alone does not make anything better, only in HDR compatible movies like Disney and Marvel is worth using. Otherwise, turn it all off. It only makes everything else look washed out and old. The sound, get their sound bar with it.. I know Monitors and TVs, all with speakers sounding like tin cans. But, this TV is Worse. They're like metal tubes in my ear (I'm not old). Don't use the smart remote either, unless by your bed. But, to set it all up, using the setting menu a lot, use one of those Universal Copies. Useless, limited "smart" remotes are stupid. In this review, I would say I would buy one to replace the others in every room. Don't get OLED for a TV or monitor, though. So, this is fine. Bought this along with the Samsung Soundbar S60B. Was hoping it would fit between the legs of the TV as according to Samsung they are 67.8cm apart, and the Soundbar is 67cm wide. It does not fit between the legs. The space between the legs measures 65.5cm, and the Soundbar is indeed 67cm wide.Anyway, when going back onto the Samsung website to check the measurements again and reconsider the 50” instead, whose legs are further apart, I learnt that the photo Samsung uses on this page to demonstrate the measurements are not accurate for the 50” and reflect the measurements for the 43”.
