There are many options to tailor the cleaning process to your liking, and I especially like the self emptying process when the JetBot returns to its base.You can also control the JetBot from out and about - I tested through the Smart Things app with my phone WiFi disabled and it worked over mobile data.I was also very impressed with the JetBots ability to clean surfaces that are raised off the floor. I have freestanding speakers and kitchen stools that both have bases that are up off the floor. The JetBot lifts itselfup and cleans those areas perfectly as well!I am completely convinced of the benefits of owning a robotic vacuum now - yes you'll still have to do the stairs with another vacuum, but that is all you will have to do. We will be purchasing one as we will miss it!

The replacement bags for the Clean Station were discontinued in December 2021, about 9 months after initial release! This must be some kind of weird joke. You cannot find replacement bags, or info on the part number anywhere. Eventually I found the part number for replacement bags is VCA-RDB95, but they are not listed for sale in any of the 'where to buy' retailers, or pretty much any online store. They're not available on Samsung's official spares store, nor any of their recommended ones.This product feels completely abandoned, and the Clean Station is functionally a paperweight because of it. It's also made worse by NO SPARES OF ANY KIND being available anywhere for the actual vacuum itself. It couldn't vacuum under the sofa despite plenty of headroom and couldn't get into corners or around some doorframes properly. You would need a separate vacuum to clean all the areas missed. You obviously cannot use it on the stairs so it is impractical for anything other than a small flat or single room. I would not recommend for a good sized family house. It had some novel features such as the camera and self-cleaning however on that note, when we received it to test, whoever had used it previously must have cleaned the filter with water and not allowed enough time to dry it before reassembly. Once synced to the app I liked the fact that the robot scanned the rooms that it was going to clean and created a map of the rooms on the ground floor. A map of the rooms then comes up on the app so that you can select which rooms you would like it to clean. Amazing! We have ceramic tiles in most of our ground floor rooms which the robot could travel over successfully but I found the suction was not as powerful on a hard surface. I'm a tech guy, I love everything tech, but having me sign in on a website even though I had the smart things app and was signed in because of my TV seems a bit redundant.There is no "offline" version of this as far as I can see, it limits the product a bit, I mean at least allow LAN communication and just do the registration in the app, send it whenever the Samsung server is available.The issue seemed to be connected to either cookies or DNS on the Samsung end.Now this may be a layer 8 issue obviously, but I just think that the smart things app could have been slightly smarter.The other thing is the choice to use bags for the dustbin, it adds an extra cost to the consumer and also due to the plastic and production etc actually has a slight environmental impact. Now I'm not a environmentalist or activist but I think that Samsung as a large company should have chosen a more environment friendly solution.And last, the retail price...There are better options within this price range.If Samsung wants to compete with Roborock they need to lower the price that reflects the lack of wash ability and the added cost of the vacuum bags as well as make it possible to go hard on some shaggy carpets.So bottom line; the product is great, functions and all, but the price tag is not based on what you get.Now if you get it as a bundle, or as a choice in a bundle... I'd say go for it... If you want a robot vacuum that gives you several function at a great price, this is not it.It is still great, but the price is steep.
Works well when it doesn't find an obstacle. Mine often sees rugs as cables and door saddles as socks so it ends up blocking itself in and won't move on. It also tends to do the most stupid and illogical pattern instead of following a normal zig zag. It also won't let you update a map, you have to set a new one each time. So if it doesn't pick up a whole room first time you have to redo the whole map and it tends to miss a different patch next time. Really bad software. Unit is quality design but left down by poor software and object recognition.

We have a large 4 bedroom house and a 21 foot lounge which is laminate and the JetBot glided over the floor and did a fantastic job. We also have tiles, vinyl and carpet and again it didn't disappoint. No flooring was too much for this, picked up all the dust and then when needed, emptied itself into the base unit. Also, unless I'm missing something, you can't split 1 room up into smaller areas via the Smart Things if for example you just wanted to clean under a particularly messy child.Overall I'm very pleased it and will definitely be considering a purchase.
As someone new to robot vacuums the initial impression for me was mixed. Thought this expensive gadget is not for practical use. While I packed to return it, by not using it for few days the difference was evident. Changed my mind and decided to live with it. It's absolutely helpful and is a great addition to home automation. Good suction power. Works great both on hard floor and carpets. I do not like the app through as its not very user friendly and needs further improvement. Overall great experience and highly recommended.
