This is not a review for cable as we haven’t purchased yet however like many of these reviews it is about the 5m cable NOT coming with the new TVs.Purchased a QN700BT and after going through all the information on the Samsung site I found in the accessories part of the information mentioned a 5m cable so I assumed as with the Frame tv’s that is what came with theQN700BT.Wrong, Samsung now only supply a 2.5m cable as standard.So now having to splash out another £149 to get what comes as standard with the cheaper models.Oh and the wall hanging bracket doesn’t come with this TV either which it does again with the cheaper frame models.More added costs.

Absolutely terrible. Of the eight screws I used, four of the heads stripped on them. I was using a hand screwdriver, not even an electric one so I can't imagine how cheap the screws must have been (or defective). As the heads stripped, my mount is partially fixed to my wall and unusable. I'm now having to drill out the stripped screws and will likely have to buy a whole new mounting kit. Not what I would expect from Samsung. If you get this kit then do yourself a favour and get better quality screws. A waste of time and money!

Choose the perfect bezel for your home? Only if your home is black, brown, beige or white. It's 2021 and when I purchased my TV I was told there will be a large selection of different colours and textured bezels released to make your TV one of a kind. I've had my TV a year and it still has the original black bezel on as my home is not brown, beige or white.Should have just bought a normal TV for half the price. This is all such a gimmick, a very expensive gimmick I'll add. £100 for some white add on plastic is a bit of a joke when you pay over £1000 on the TV!

I have a 2013 F8000 Smart TV. It has room on the back for (up to) a SEK-3000/XY upgrade kit. Here are some points I can help iron out for those unsure of what to make of the change in Evolution kit format from the previous plugin models to the newer box designs.1. If your TV was sold with a One Connect Box you will need to piggy back off it using your original TV remote to power on the TV and the 4500 Evo kit remote to use the Evo kit functions. (this is anecdotal as I do not have a One connect TV)2. If you have a standard designed TV (as I do) with all the connections going up around the back where an Evo kit would go you'll connect the 4500 using a supplied 'Connect to HDMI' cable to any standard HDMI on you TV (not the ARC or HML ports) and not a One Connect ... MoreI have a 2013 F8000 Smart TV. To adjust the AV receiver you'll need to use its remote control.Other than the above quirks the upgrade made sense for me as my 2013 TV was no longer getting software/firmware updates and the SMART Hub in it had been progressively stripped of its features. Most of the Apps, too, had newer versions that were more slick and run much faster on the new Tizen OS, which is much faster to load also. And the picture seems to be more crisp.A good upgrade if you can navigate the pitfalls and find it at a special price.
Hi, I bought the Samsung UHD Evolution Kit SEK-4500 recently to pair with my old Samsung TV HU8500. I bought this mainly to use the new FoxTel app as the FoxTel app available on HU8500 is very old and clunky. To my surprise, SEK-4500 does not support FoxTel app at all. Furthermore, SEK-4500 built in UPnP player cannot recognise m3u playlist files too. Can you please release a firmware update to fix these 2 issues? Its worth noting my other Samsung TV UA55MU6100W seem to be having more up to date firmware, working fine on the 2 issues raised above. Appreciate a quick fix on these please. Thanks
A little bit intimidating after opening the packaging and seeing multiple varying instructions, because this mount supports multiple TVs.After taking some time to read through the instructions, setup and installation for a 85" TV was straight froward.The clearance to the wall is great, and the ability to adjust the level after the TV has been hung is a great feature.It would be nice if the instructions mentioned the need for drywall toggle bolts/equiv, since each bracket will likely only line up over a single stud, and the recommend 4 screws per bracket.
I purchased the QN800 in March, over 4 months ago and the longer length cable is still not available! Last year models came with 5m cable's as standard and that is what was advertised on Samsung in the QN800 box, however they have reduced to only 2.5m which is useless, no where near long enough when you consider it being on the wall, if the box isn't to fit directly under the TV, it will not work! How Samsung can release the TV 5 months before the accessories required to actually use it is unacceptable. if I had known, I would not have purchased. Very misleading by Samsung. I know I am not the only one, I have come across various forums with so many people impacted by the exact same issue!
Nice quality picture - but full of bloat-ware that can't be deleted. Displaying our own photos as art when we're not watching TV was lovely when it worked - although, annoyingly, every time we wanted to change the image we had to scroll past stacks of art work that requires a subscription. And then the option for viewing our own photos just disappeared. We haven't yet managed to fix it. Not sure if it is just a bug, or Samsung trying to get us to subscribe to their art service.
Did try Samsung (5 pcs), but all of them became outdated after very short time. (No longer smart TV). Tried Evolution KIT 2014*/2015/2018=SEK-4500 - way to expensive and none of them adds functions or new features that can be used now. Crap product and add-on.Way better to stay away from your not-so-smart TV and go with Apple TV or Google Chromecast / Google TV and a simple monitor with HDMI/USB without your Samsung Not smart features / failuers.Noise from fan, extra power and slow startup, bad update and short life makes all Smart TV from Samsung a bad buy.
Bought this for Christmas and was very excited to change the look on our frame tv with a new colored bezel. SO disappointing. Tried endlessly lining it up it's as if the magnets aren't strong enough ??!!! -- The edges don't close and there are gaps at all four corners -- after hours of frustration with it slipping off and having to crazy glue the bottom corner that broke off when it fell to the floor off the tv -- so ridiculous -- looks horrible and we are beyond disappointed - save your money and don't buy into the hype of the samsung "bezel" ... Looks, feels and is like $2 piece of plastic.
