I am quite impressed with these earbuds; my initial impressions began with the packaging. Samsung, like Sony and some other companies, is moving towards sustainable packaging and there is little if any plastic utilized here. Clever use of various paper and cardboard-based materials is used to secure the earbuds, case, USB C cord, and ear tips inside of the box.Continued impressions were when I opened the earbuds case, placed the earbuds in, and found that active noise canceling (ANC) immediately began and that, with the case open, it was already querying for a Bluetooth connection. This made connecting my iPhone a cinch. They also have the Galaxy connect feature where they can connect to compatible Galaxy devices with just opening the earbuds case. The audio ... MoreI am quite impressed with these earbuds; my initial impressions began with the packaging. They also have the Galaxy connect feature where they can connect to compatible Galaxy devices with just opening the earbuds case. The audio experience with these earbuds is excellent and is on par with many others I have tried including my Apple Airpod Pro’s and LG FP9’s. As a matter of face, the bass presence and detail here may surpass the others entirely. An additionally impressive aspect of these earbuds is their ability to block wind noise. I went for a bike ride on a very windy evening and with these headphones on transparency mode for safety, I found that these headphones blocked out the wind admirably well to the point where I could hear my audio with no problem. With the additional assurance from Samsung that these are IPX7 water-resistant, I feel that these would be a great choice for athletes or outdoors-oriented audiophiles. The controls on the earbuds themselves are intuitive and easy to use. The only trouble is that I find that like other earbuds that lack controls on a stem, I often find myself inadvertently performing actions with the earbuds like pausing my music when I pressed the bud to adjust it back into my ear canal. The earbuds do have an excellent fit, but every earbud requires adjustment once in a while, especially while in the middle of activities. If you are not an Apple ecosystem devotee, these are very good earbuds to consider. They have a strong, simple to set up Bluetooth connection and just sound absolutely excellent. Additionally, their battery life is going to attract many users to them over some of the competition’s offerings. Altogether, I have no issue recommending these to anyone seeking not only an excellent, refined audio experience, but one that is really made to excel with Galaxy devices.

Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is a winner in the world of true wireless ear buds. It’s smaller and lighter than the previous generation of galaxy buds pro. The design is attractive and not boring looking. Most importantly, they are quite comfortable to wear so you can spend hours using them. Of course, fitting may vary from one person to another, but they should fit pretty well so you can take them for some running. The buds also got some water-proof rating, so using them when raining shouldn’t be a problem. In terms of features, these buds offer a lot and sits at the top end of true wireless ear buds. The buds offer ANC, which work quite well as long as they fit in your ears pretty nicely. Call quality when ANC on is ok. The buds also offer ambient mode so you can be aware more of your surroundings. The case can be charged wirelessly, and you can even wirelessly charge these directly from supported galaxy phone. There’s also 360 spatial audio mode with head tracking that simulates audio in 360 degrees environment, however, this feature is a bit more gimmicky than something you would enjoy immensely. You can control some of the features of the buds from your android phone. Battery is rated to last up to 5 hours with ANC on and up to 8 hours with ANC off, which basically is what you’d be getting with other high-end earbuds. Now on to the sound quality, which I think is the most important selling point of these ear buds. They sound excellent. The sound signature is designed by AKG, which is one of the biggest brands in the world of audio equipment. They should not disappoint, well perhaps unless you’re an audiophile that prefers specific sound signature. I personally prefer to use over ear headphone when I’m listening to music extensively, however, these buds’ audio quality can compete with other high end ear buds from any major brand. Samsung even made 24-bit audio transmission possible when paired with supported galaxy phone and using appropriate app. I’m using galaxy Z fold 3 and I’m already pretty impressed of how the phone handles the codec. There is no way to verify that the 24 bit audio is working, however, when it works the sound quality should sound a bit better. Personally, even without the 24-bit audio capabilities say that you are pairing these buds with your iPad, these buds should still sound great. So, with the excellent audio quality and many features they offer, these buds deserve to be your daily driver.

It is much better than the original GBPro model though! The ambient mode is quite a bit behind the Sony Linkbuds S though, its OK but not great.Comfort wise these are as good as the Linkbuds S which until these arrived were my most comfortable TWS. These also have much better tips than the original GBPro so are a huge step up over the original model. The app aside from a few new settings specific to this model has the same limitations and features as past models. I do wish Samsung would give users the ability to setthwir own EQ settings. The new experimental feature for volume work very well as I now can tap my ear to increase or decrease the volume which I find to be a good compromise on their default gesture configurations allow me to mange everything from the TWS which I think is a must in this day and age.If you have a newer Samsung phone the scalable codec is a true delight to use, so much easier and more reliable than products relying on LDAC. But you have to have a new enough Samsung phone to use this wonderful codec. For non Samsung users you will be limited to AAc or SBC which does lower the detail of the sound. But the over all sound signature remains intact so will give similar but slightly lower quality sound. Without having the ability to A/B extensively most would not really notice a difference.I am very happy with this new model, Samsung has exceeded my expectations for audio quality. Now if they can tackle the battery life and make it slightly more customizable for controls and EQ they will go from a 4 to an easy 5!

I was literally blown away the second I turned on the music. First of all, these are finally truly loud wireless earbuds, this is first time ever where I was dialling the volume down, because 80% is plenty! There is nothing more annoying when there is good song and you press the button to increase the volume and just hear "beep - maximum volume", but it is still quiet. Worry no more! I would not advise listening at 100% all the time, but if there is anyone who will have a say about damaging or preserving my hearing it will be me!Secondly, bass is so deep that I struggle to remember anything of this size to come close - perhaps original Beats by Dr. Dre 10 year ago (obviously they were wired). Still the sound is extremely detailed and very well separated i.e. bass, treble, vocals and mids all sounds very distinct and clear. Which leads to next point...Third, the clarity is in the league of it's own , to the point where it almost becomes an issue. This is no fault of the earbuds, but if you music source is less then perfect then you will hear it, it reproduce sound so clearly that any noise will be heard, so... just make sure you listen to good quality source. So it is a good thing if you have good quality source, it will be great for watching movies etc. where it sometimes hard to tell voices apart from background effects etc.Fourth, ambient sounds something altogether, it literally enhances your hearing as with earbuds in and ambient sound on you will hear thing normal human can't hear. I don't want to exaggerate - you not snooping on conversation 200m away any time soon, but if people are whispering 5 metres away you will hear it like they whispering it to your ear. It is sometimes creepy, yet it does exactly what it says to do - you don't feel like your ears are plugged anymore and all surrounding sounds are clarified and amplified. You not going to need to take them out to have a conversation for sure.Perhaps only one caveat - £219 is quite a lot, I got them for free with Fold 4, if it would have been my own money I probably would not have considered spending that much, but that is on assumption that it will be diminishing returns. However, in this case I think they are really worth it and one is not overpaying considering how well they perform.Apart of that they have excellent connectivity and great battery life - I would go as far as saying they are perfect for the purpose they were designed. Can't find any fault and they exceeded expectation in all possible criteria.
TLDR - This is a great evolution of my favorite wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Pro. The sound and noise cancellation is improved, the buds fit much better than the previous generation and I love the new matte finish on the case and buds. My only complaint is the touch targets seem slightly smaller than the prior version, so I have to re-train my muscle memory. Get them if you're looking for a great wireless earbud, and have a Samsung device. iPhone and non-samsung devices, look elsewhere as the features you'll lose will not make this a great value compared to similar earbuds from Jabra or Apple.I have used the Galaxy Buds2 Pro (I'll refer to them as the Pro 2) for about a week. I also have a Galaxy Buds Pro ("Pro 1") and Galaxy Buds Live earbuds that I use interchangeably at both work and home, so I think I have a pretty good basis for comparison against those devices.Positives: Samsung really improved the comfort, sound quality and ANC in the Pro 2 vs. the Pro 1. The Pro 2s are much easier to fit in my ears (I use the medium size tips) because the shape is slightly smaller and oval compared to the rounder and thicker Pro 1. Fit and comfort is highly subjectiver however, since everyone's ears are different. The ANC and ambient noise quality and function are improved over the Pro 1. I use these and the Pro 1s in an office environment and the Pro 2 are definitely stronger ANC compared to the Pro 1. The ambient listening sound quality is slightly better on the Pro 2, but the feature itself works the same as the Pro 1.Negatives: The Pro 2s are slightly smaller than the Pro 1, so the touch targets are slightly smaller as well and have shifted slightly so I'm experiencing quite a few missed touches and wrong commands while my muscle memory is re-learned. The Pro 2s still don't have true multipoint capability, and the auto switch function between Samsung devices sometimes switched to my tablet when I didn't want it to.The IP67 rating carries forward from the Pro 1s without changes. I've used these in the shower a few times (same as the Pro 1) and they work fine, as long as you remember to turn off the touch controls to avoid accidental activation from water splashes.Since samsung didn't really add new features, the Pro 1s are still a great product and probably a better value now, assuming the price will drop to clear out remaining inventory.Overall, these are a great
Unfortunately, I can't recommend these earbuds to anyone who moves more than someone that sits down all day doing work. The microphone quality sounds great to others on the receiving end of phone calls made through these Buds, and they have good sound quality. However, the sound quality is truly no better than the Galaxy Buds+ which were released over 3 years ago. The active noise cancellation is some of the best on the market, I'll give them that. Though, the Buds 2 Pro's other fancy features like head tracking for 360-degree simulated audio, and 24-bit hi-fi audio are not worth this price point. The biggest issue I and many others have is the design of the bud itself, causing the bud to fall out of your ear if you tip your head even slightly to one side or jump ... MoreUnfortunately, I can't recommend these earbuds to anyone who moves more than someone that sits down all day doing work. The microphone quality sounds great to others on the receiving end of phone calls made through these Buds, and they have good sound quality. Though, the Buds 2 Pro's other fancy features like head tracking for 360-degree simulated audio, and 24-bit hi-fi audio are not worth this price point. The biggest issue I and many others have is the design of the bud itself, causing the bud to fall out of your ear if you tip your head even slightly to one side or jump up and down just a little bit. Forget trying to run with these, as you'll probably get only a few steps before they fall out. The biggest mistake Samsung made was removing the wing feature they've had on older buds, which allowed users to customize the size of the wing to fit their ear. The rubber tips also aren't the best, compared to previous years, these tips cave in on themselves more, mostly due to the thinner design of them.Another issue I and others have with the Buds 2 Pro is the touch controls being too sensitive to anything, if you have long hair or oddly shaped ears, or even shift your head too quickly, the Buds will think you tapped them and mess up whatever you're listening to, thus I have the tap feature disabled from the Wear app.I'm a diehard Samsung product buyer, but unfortunately these Buds are the worst product I've ever purchased from them and wait for when they release an improved, or even vastly different model in the future, maybe even headphones would be better than these.Lastly, I may as well at least share one piece of advice for current owners or those who are still going to buy after reading this review. Online it may say that you can't find these earbuds if they're still in the case, that's only partially true. If you lose them and leave the vicinity where they're no longer connectable via Bluetooth, then yes, they're pretty much as good as gone, as the case needs to be opened or the buds need to have fallen out for another Samsung device with Smartthings to ping their location. But if you're close enough to them where Bluetooth will work, you're able to forcefully make them beep a loud sound constantly until you find them EVEN while they're still in the case, otherwise you could also use your newer Samsung phones (22 and up) to activate AR mode and find them with your camera instead.Overall my rating stands at 2/5 because they're more of a hassle than a utility. Sorry for the long review and for any possible typos or grammatical errors.
I was really excited to get these after reading how great the last generation was and the improvements made to them this year. Unfortunately, I have an iPhone 13, not a Galaxy phone. And Samsung has discontinued support for the Galaxy app on the app store, so these essentially just become a nice pair of bluetooth earbuds without any of the functionality provided if you pair them with a Galaxy phone. I'm not sure how they would do with a Pixel or other Android phone, but at this point I'm assuming Samsung wants you locked into their ecosystem to get the full benefits. And don't get me wrong, I know Apple does this with the AirPods, which are functional but ugly in their current design. Google has started doing this with the Pixel Buds as well, so it's just the way it ... MoreI was really excited to get these after reading how great the last generation was and the improvements made to them this year. Google has started doing this with the Pixel Buds as well, so it's just the way it is and it's getting annoying for consumers. I would much rather have these over airpods, but Samsung has decided they don't want anyone with a phone that isn't theirs. I'm sure it's easier from a programming standpoint but it seems like you're cutting out a big piece of the market. These sound good, but I can't adjust the settings so they might sound better if you have a Galaxy to make use of the 24-bit high-fi capability. You can toggle the ANC by touching the earpod directly, and the ANC is good but I don't have access to the Intelligent Conversation Mode which would be awesome. Enhanced 360 audio also doesn't work without a Galaxy phone, nor does the multi-point bluetooth.Look, these are super comfortable for all day wearing, have a great battery life and bluetooth range along with water resistance of IPX7. They have basic ANC you can toggle on and off manually and sound decent. If you have a Galaxy smartphone, these are the buds for you. If you have any other phone, you need to understand the limitations before spending the money. Likewise with the other manufacturers that only give you the full experience within their own ecosystem. That's why I give these 3 stars, because Samsung gave up on the app and the price isn't justified unless you have the right phone.I wanted to love these, but they're going to be my lawn mowing/workout buds and I'm going to stick with my Bose QC earbuds for travel/calls/etc because there are no restrictions on them regardless of the phone, computer or tablet I pair them with.
The first thing that I will ask is "where have you been all my life?" I purchased a pair of Buds pro 2 and picked them up yesterday, but first, let me give you a little background. I have been listening to music my entire life being weened on Motown, graduating to Funk, and in the late 70s I have been an avid heavy metal fan. I am not talking a casual listener. Last year alone I logged 19, 063 scrobbles on Last.fm. So you can imagine that I have used dozens of headphones over the years and enjoyed the music that I am so passionate about which would eventually led me to this purchase.I was hoping for better sound quality but was not holding my breath, getting my hopes too high. As it turns out, I never expected the quality of sound that the Buds Pro 2 put out and was blown away by the initial experience. With these earbuds you have the option to listen to whatever medium that you might want to listen to in 360 mode. As soon as I turned this on I was instantly immersed in the music with a sound quality that I personally never experienced, but then came 360 mode with head tracking and that was truly a dimension of music listening that I did not think possible. It is difficult to describe, but when you turn your head the vocals or other instruments would move with your head giving the sensation of not just listening to the music but becoming part of it as well. Whether this type of technology has been around for a while or not it was extremely new to me and a wonderful experience at that. I have seen unsatisfactory reviews and I understand that we each experience things differently and are entitled to our own opinions, but these were worth every penny and them some once added to my various listening devices that instantly catapulted themselves to the top of the best list.
These are some of the best Buds out, especially if you own other compatible Samsung products. I use these daily on the job site, and in the office since I work in IT, and frequently need to take calls and talk hands- free while working. The downloadable Samsung App also gives you so many options, such as notifying you when you have left your Buds behind, and will track and lead you to exact location of them. If you have lost them in a place such as a bed, or couch, or just set them down and can't remember where you left them, they have a noise chirp feature to help lead you to them. Also you can choose between noise cancellation, ambient sound, or both, so if someone is nearby trying to get your attention, they can automatically switch from noise cancellation so you can physically hear them. You can answer and end calls at the touch of the Bud, and the case not only is rechargable and waterproof as are the Buds, but will also charge your Buds when you place them in there. You can also use an equalizer to tone your favourite sounds to your music, and can also skip tracks, pause, or replay them by simply touching the Buds - just the same as answering phone calls. You can even set them to automatically end the call if no voice is heard after 5, 10, or 15 seconds. The battery life for both the Buds and Case lasts extremely long, and can be monitored as well within the app. They also come with a three year warranty if they are new- you just have to register them with Samsung on your account. Five stars hands down the best wireless earbuds I've ever owned! They are a bit more expensive, but you get the quality you pay for. They also have wireless charging capability, equalizers, neck stretch reminders, and so much more. I would also recommend keeping your ears clean since these Buds fit directly in your ears by way of silicone fittings. They come with several sizes of fittings for the perfect fit, and are very easy to change. I also would recommended getting an extra protective case to give them a bit of more protection. It's worth it. Wait until you hear, see, and feel the quality of these Buds and you'll never want any others.
