Therefore I recommend a sturdy screen protector as well and a case that offers more than standard shock absorbance if dropped. Sadly due to the current size of the camera technology the lenses could not be recessed in the casing of the phone either but are rather Located on the front of the phone and extend out farther than the back of the phone as well which runs the risk of damage to your lenses and the housing of camera lenses unless you also make sure your case offers protection against this as well or you get camera lenses protection and bumper guards to keep the housing safe.But given these downfalls of design the note 20 ultra makes up in every other way and is totally worth it as long as you ensure safety awareness for the fragility of it's designAs an example I have had 3 replacements due to Various protection devices not being safe enough to protect my device and all involved soft falls from ankle height off the ground and improper installation of a case purchased and installed by my carriers staffing. I've had this phone over a month now and I have zero complaints. The phone was as advertised, new in box, clean IMEI, and flawless. I had no issue activating with my wireless carrier and the phone has been better than expected. Battery life is several days with normal usage (calls, text, random notifications, occasional web browsing, limited social media access), the interface is user friendly, and storage is sufficient. I do have a 256 GB micro SD card installed and try to make sure apps and other things get stored there first. Pleasantly surprised and very grateful I have been receiving several updates since activating meaning I am up to date with Android and security patches. I preordered this phone when it was launched. By far the best phone I've ever owned. This phone has everything and more. If you have the budget for it, and you either have big hands or are okay with using two hands for everyday use, this is the phone. But, I will tell you what makes this phone so great. I hope that in the future companies will offer alternative flagships that make small compromises on specs where needed in order to have truly impressive batteries that couldn't die in a day if you tried.

Great when it works but I am sure I got a lemon. Seven months after I received the phone the entire display died. Was in for a service for a week before it was fixed. About six weeks ago when I used the speaker during a call, the other person kept hearing a dreadful screeching noise. Received a code from Samsung to get feedback from speaker and the noise was dreadful! Followed Samsung's advice to wipe phone before going on for service and as a result fault could not be identified. Put in "voice of concern " to Samsung who said phone was working fine and to consult other Samsung owners for help. Phone put in for third service due to screeching noise. The accuracy of touch with both finger and stylus is always spot on. There is never lag even after forgetting to close previous apps used. The Note20 Ultra is a work horse that you can't say enough about. My only complaint if I absolutely had to pick one would be the hard-drive space. I have the 128GB with an external Samsung micro sd card in 512GB and that's still not enough which ironically is one of my complaints of my S21 Ultra which I have in 512GB form but I have maxed out there too because the external micro sd slot is not available. There are so many phones on the market but if you buy technology like I do which is to treat oneself and experience the capabilities of having life at one's fingertips while constantly being amazed by how mobile devices have progressed, the choices really narrow down to few. If someone asked me what device they should acquire purely for a photo and video needs perspective I'd say the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Now if the same person wanted everything top notch, with ultra convenience, speed, usability, long battery life, and options to keep everything with you stored on one device hands down , the Samsung Note20 Ultra is the best and only choice out there.
The cameras, the S-pen, the AMOLED screen quality, the 120 Hz refresh rate, the 5G data connection, the build quality, etc. are all top notch. This phone will probably hold the crown for best Android phone for a good while, and it has key feature bumps that made me especially want this phone--namely the 5G and the 120 Hz screen.I would definitely recommend a solid case if you're planning to spend this much money on a phone. I bought a Spigen case which effectively reduces the camera bump on the back to allow the phone to sit flat on a desk. The IP68 rating means that it will be fine with water and dust, but drop protection is still a must. You can't say that about cars, houses, clothes, but you could definitely swing buying the best phone that money can buy once every 3-4 years if it's important enough to you. For me it is, and I'm very happy with this phone.Lastly: Google Pixel, 1+, Apple, etc. can only hope to match some of the features that this phone has to offer, but I highly doubt that they will exceed this phone's specs on yet to be release products. Just my opinion as a phone guy, but the best that they could hope to do is give you a better value on specific features. If you're somebody looking for the best value on a calling and texting machine, then this phone is not for you. This phone is for somebody that wants the best cameras, pocket computing power, & screen quality that money can buy you right now.

The 20 Ultra was the perfect upgrade, it was similar to my old note 8 but just more powerful with a better battery life, way less bezels that made the screen look impeccable, 128 gb upgrade from a 64gb note 8 with expandable storage made it easy for me to transfer my sd card phones and music, amazing cameras with ultra zooming features and not 8 but 12 gbs of ram for smooth gameplay during my free time at home or in between classes. It's a great phone because as a student the battery life lasts me all day and I don't have to worry about buying a portable charger or my usb c around and risk losing it. I remember the looks on other student's faces whenever class would be over and the professors would say, "wait, i forgot to mention to study this page" or "wait, there's more homework" or "I forgot to mention the extra credit" & everyone rushed back to take their backpacks off to find a page and pen or a post it while I stayed in place and wrote down the last minute information on my phone with the s-pen & leaving before anyone else. Also during my 1 hour in between classes break I would go to the library and watch an episode of a show or watch a tutorial for a certain school subject while using the multi window feature. This phone is perfect for anyone and for every heavy users.
