Had this phone for almost 3 years. Battery life has gone caput in the past month, no idea why. It dies incredibly quickly, and it takes hours to charge. When looking at the battery life settings, it lies and says "8 hours left" then will go down to "7 hours 40min left" after 3 min. No idea how to fix it.The selfie camera is so bad - like, 2012 bad. I'm not a big selfie person, but it would be nice to take one occasionally that isn't confusingly low quality. It's massive, I think I've been getting carpal tunnel from it. In 2021, there weren't any good options for smaller galaxies. I really hope they have normal sized options instead of a massive rock that won't even fit in my pocket.

Overall, I really like the phone! The display is super crisp and smooth with that 120Hz refresh rate, making everything look really nice. The camera is awesome too, giving me some great shots for my social media. Performance-wise, it's been solid for me, handling all my apps and games without any issues. Battery life is pretty good too, lasting me through the day with no problems. The only downside for me is the plastic back, which doesn't feel as premium as I'd like. But all in all, I'd say it's a great phone for the price!

There are hardly any cons to this smartphone other then the end of support date is late next year, around October 2024. It did come charged at 85% on pick-up date though, this means it's at the optimal battery percentage charged for the best lifespan for the battery. There is also an option in the smartphone settings to limit the battery to be charged to 85% to increase the battery lifespan. However, from the time I charged my smartphone to 100% I got around 6.5 hours of a lot of screen time, but it was off and on, but nothing extremely resource heavy and my battery was at 54% still. The battery seems really great, although, adaptive battery has to learn my battery usage on this smartphone before it adapts to my usage and could give better performance later on. ... MoreThere are hardly any cons to this smartphone other then the end of support date is late next year, around October 2024. Leaving my phone on standby only drained the battery around 5% in only 6-7 hours. (I have minimal apps installed, this can change with more apps installed and it can be different for others, a lot of variables to consider)

I had to transition from a BlackBerry to a Samsung after the news BlackBerry was not going through their partnership with onward mobility. I debated my options and decided to go with this phone because out of all the newer android phones, this one provided expandable storage and was cheaper than those without that. It's been a challenging getting used to touch screen typing as opposed to physical keyboards. I make more mistakes now than ever before but the suggestions help. I much rather not make mistakes because I tend to write assignments on my phone. I do appreciate samsung is going to keep updating this phone for a couple of years. I like Samsung's key cafe to modify the virtual keyboard and the selection of apps. My only gripe is the bloatware. I don't want the amazon shopping app on my phone or Samsung specific apps I have no use for. Everytime I update an app if takes up more space in my phone which is why I prefer expandable storage for non apps.

Bad packaging and false advertising.
8 July 2024

I needed a new phone with good memory; my current one has bad memory, making it impossible to use half the time. I didn't look too hard at this one, just checked that it had a good camera, good GB, and is fully unlocked, keywords, fully unlocked. This phone is not fully unlocked. And while I know that it says in parenthesis "GSM Verizon" I was only really focused on the GB and it being fully unlocked. not paying attention to the "GSM Verizon" wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't labeled as fully unlocked, which I had used filters on the Google Store tab to find. Second off, the packaging was awful. There was no box, no additional padding to protect the phone itself, the phone was simply wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap and chucked into a paper shipping ... MoreI needed a new phone with good memory; my current one has bad memory, making it impossible to use half the time. Very disappointed for a multitude of reasons, in not just Walmart for allowing such irresponsible sellers and seller themself, but also in myself for not being cautious because I was in a rush and was impatient. In the paper bag used for shipping, this seller had the audacity to leave a paper note saying not to leave a bad review. If they don't want a bad review, they should do better. I highly suggest buying from a different seller.

Excellent phone for a fair price, truly unlocked

This is the second time I've purchase a pre-owned unlocked phone from Best Buy, and both times the phones I've received have been in excellent condition. This phone had very minor cosmetic damage to the paint on the side of the phone, which I didn't even notice until I was putting a case on the phone and the case covers it. Aside from this barely noticeable cosmetic damage, the phone looks brand new and operates as if it was. The phone I received was a previous AT&T phone and came with all the AT&T apps still installed. This initially concerned me because I purposely purchased an unlocked phone to use on the Verizon network. This initially concerned me because I purposely purchased an unlocked phone to use on the Verizon network. Thankfully it was truly unlocked and I did not have any issues when I inserted the Verizon SIM card and the phone immediately connected to and operated off their network. For those that may have an issue, AT&T makes it really easy to release the phone from their network. You have to go onto their website and put in a request for release. You will need the phone's IMEI number to do so, which can easily be found in the phone's settings. The processing of my request was extremely quick. AT&T also provides instructions on the initial set up of the phone under the new network. While I did go through this process, I don't believe I needed to. I bought this phone for a family member so I didn't have their Verizon SIM card when I first received the phone to test it out (I use AT&T) and requested the release as a precaution.Overall, the phone looks great, and operates quickly and smoothly! The screen is crisp and with vibrant color. The cameras on the phone appear to be excellent as well and the battery life has been great so far. The speakers on the phone are great too. The family member I purchased this for used to only use speaker phone on their previous phone because they couldn't hear very well from the ear speaker. With this phone they don't have to use speaker phone because the ear speaker is loud and clear. I've also noticed a HUGE improved in clarity of sound from their end of the call. The microphone also does an excellent job filtering out background noise as well. If you're looking to upgrade your phone without crushing your budget, I would definitely consider this phone or other pre-owned options.

Great bargain that nobody else can beat!

I ordered a Samsung S20 FE from these guys in May of this year for my elderly father. Arrived "open box" (new). I get buyers remorse easily so I did a lot of research on price and quality. I had to set everything up for him and add live transcribe and some other apps since he is deaf. I was impressed with the phone condition, delivery and price. Today, my personal phone died, so I did more research to buy myself a new or used Samsung. Even though the price actually went up $15 for the same used (actually newish) phone, I was so impressed with the quality and condition that I decided to buy the same model phone. I searched for about 6 hours on-line to find a deal, but these guys can't be beat!! I hope everything goes as well as the last purchase from them. No future updates, while it's still being sold!

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G was released in 2020 and is still being sold in some markets. However, it is not eligible for future updates such as Android 14 because it has reached the end of its software support cycle. Samsung typically provides two years of major software updates and three years of security updates for its smartphones. The Snapdragon 865 processor that powers the phone is no longer the latest and greatest, and the phone's camera and display are also starting to look a bit dated. Another reason is that Samsung is likely focusing its resources on supporting its newer flagship phones, such as the Galaxy series. While it is disappointing that the Galaxy S20 FE 5G will not receive Android 14, it is still a great phone that offers a lot of value for its price. If you are looking for a new phone, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is still a great option, especially if you can find it on sale. Just be aware that you will not be getting any major software updates going forward.

Stay away from Samsung products!!!!!!
12 December 2022

I bought the S20 FE just over 12 months ago. It's in pristine condition without any damage. Not a single scratch in the screen or on the body. Yet before I've had it 13 months! It's having software problems. It takes itself off the network, not making or receiving calls, even texting is hit or miss? Even trying to turn the screen on is a gamble. Pushing the start up button to turn the screen on randomly does or doesn't work? At times I have to push the button several times to make it turn on. When it happens it opens to the view of the camera. But at least it does open and might work once the screen is on. It very well may not work either? Have yet to determine if there's any common denominator between the problems I'm experiencing with this phone. My family has 5 Samsung phones at this time. So obviously we've been happy with the product in the past. Been buying their products for 5 people for 15 years. At this time 3 of the 5 Samsung phones I'm paying for have significant issues. Now Samsung wants me to ship my phone to them and pay them to repair it. It has a 12 month warranty I've not ever had it 13 months yet and now I'm having to pay at least another $100.00 and be without a phone for a undetermined time to repair it? Seriously!? Last Samsung product I'll purchase that's for certain. If my phone had damage I wouldn't be upset.

The cell phone arrived well, even though the package that was contracted did not treat the package well for shipping. However, the box that came from the seller held up long enough to be able to say that the cell phone did not have any dents or scratches. Its functionality is excellent for a second-hand cell phone, it came unlocked, and I had no problem putting another chip from another company in it, however to this day I still get a message that the sim does not belong to vernizon, that doesn't bother me. message, it can be deleted and it reappears after days, however that does not affect anything in its functionality with the new chip that I have and the other functions of the cell phone.
