Watching yt or other streaming platforms is perfect with no buffering ever basically if you have any signal at all. The feature I use the least on this phone is the actual phone function but it works flawlessly also inside a 40k Sq ft building that has been known to disrupt some communication I've never had an issue. Best phone I've ever had. Adding a picture of a dog just because I can lol

So I brought it back to the store, this time, same thing happened, the problem went away after rebooting. They told me it must be a 3rd party app that is interfering with the face ID, and that I needed to delete all of the unnecessary apps that I didn't use, because they were not sure which app was causing the problem 😑. So I went through each of my app and deleted the ones I didn't use like they said. They also told me I might have to reset my phone to default settings if the problem kept happening. I brought it home and the problem insisted. Now I'm exhausted and frustrated! All of the Samsung devices I'd had were working perfectly fine with all the apps I installed. The technicians can't do anything to fix it because they themselves are not even sure which app is causing the problem, so the only thing to do is to wipe my phone clean, which is really time consuming and redundant, because I'd end up installing the same apps anyway since they are neccessary in my daily life. Now, everytime the problem occurs, I'd have to restart my phone, and it'd only work perfectly for an hour or 2 after rebooting. I've been a Samsung user since 2010, this is the first time I feel so disappointed 😞! I don't even know what to do with the phone now, I paid a lot of money for something that doesn't work properly, that even Samsung technicians can't fix.

Great features, stable, and smooth operation - price/performance is excellent!

My S7 lasted for 6 years and finally died. Looking around for a good replacement at an affordable price, I finally came across the S20 FE 5g. The screen is large which is what I like. The back is not glass, but plastic. However, it does not feel cheap. The sides are aluminum and overall, it has a flag-ship premium feel to it but it might feel a bit large for those with smaller hands. My hands are fairly large so it fits perfectly for me. The fingerprint reader is built into the screen and I have had no issues with it working. It responds fast and gets me into my phone within a second or two. It's also integrated well with other apps to provide security as well. This currently has Android 12 on it. My hands are fairly large so it fits perfectly for me. The fingerprint reader is built into the screen and I have had no issues with it working. It responds fast and gets me into my phone within a second or two. It's also integrated well with other apps to provide security as well. This currently has Android 12 on it. The one drawback to this device is it's 2 years old, which means it started at Android 10 and will receive Android 13 as its final OS upgrade. That means after Android 13, only security updates will be released for the next couple of years following, so that means support for the phone for anyone getting it in 2022 won't last as long if you had instead gone for a newer device like the S22. But, for the price, you cannot beat this. And for me, I always make my phones last years after the updates stop. My S7 is a case-in-point. I got it in 2016 and made it last 6 years. But, for those that look at upgrading every 3 years or so to ensure they always have a device with the latest Android OS, then this may not be the device for them as stated earlier in regards to Android 13 being the last upgrade for this phone. Bluetooth works great in my car as well as with my earbuds. This might be another rub for some, but there is no headphone hack. However, for me, I have been using Bluetooth earbuds for years now and I love it. No wires to tangle up and I don't have to ensure the chord is long enough to reach my phone if I'm doing something like mowing the lawn with the phone in my pocket. I have had no issues with dropped connections with it. It works flawlessly with my car which also has Android Auto in it. It connects quickly and Google Maps is fast and responsive. With my S7 (with it so old), Google maps would hitch, pause and move sluggishly. Also, I would have to wait almost up to 1 minute for Android Auto to fully start up once it was connected to my car. At home, WiFi connection is also stable and fast. All applications feel snappy and fast and I haven't had any issues with any of the applications I use. In fact, many that seemed to perform just "fine" on my S7 have new life breathed into them as I can definitely see a marked improvement in response and speed. The screen is a Super AMOLED, 120Hz HDR10+ screen. It makes things such as scrolling, games and videos be very smooth and fast and the overall responsiveness of the phone feels great. Colors are vibrant and the touch screen is very responsive. I have not encountered any issues where it doesn't respond to what I want except in one area. I've noticed with the screen almost reaching basically to the bezels, you have to be careful how you hold the phone because sometimes, I would find the screen not responding to taps and swipes. The reason was part of my hand (such as a finger) was already touching the screen at the edge, so when my other hand would perform an action, nothing would happen. So I've had to relearn how to hold this phone properly from how I used to do it with my S7. My S7 had a wider gap between the bezel and the edge of the touch screen, so it gave a little more room for my fingers to grip the phone. But I have been able to adjust quickly to this and have no longer had the issue. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. While it is an older processor, it still can keep up with some of the newer phones in many respects. And in some areas, it outshined newer phones with newer processors. Gaming-wise, it is great. Non-gaming-wise, still very fast and responsive. As for storage, the S20 SE 5G version comes with 128GB of storage and 6GB of memory. With the SD card support, you can vastly increase the storage capacity of your phone with a microSDXC card up to 1TB. The phone also comes with a USB-C fast charging cable as well as a power adapter. However, the power adapter is not 25W, but 15W. Therefore, you will get fast charging, but a 25W adapter will be faster. You will have to purchase a 25W brick separately. Too bad they didn't just give you the 25W adapter with the device, but today there are phones that only come with the cable and no power adapter, so this was a nice move on Samsung's part when they released this phone. Overall, the small minor quibbles I have with this phone are just that and do nothing to detract from my overall pleasure of having purchased this device. This phone for me was a great deal at the price which was below it's original release price. Compared to the newer phones, it might not have the latest hardware, but price/performance-wise, you can't beat it. But as this is coming up on 2 years, I think Verizon has a limited stock and they do seem to be going fast. If you can get it, and you want to NOT spend a lot of money on a new premium flagship device, but you still want to get a phone that is pretty near to a flagship device in performance and features, then IMHO the S20 FE 5G is worth it.

I bought this as an upgrade for college and honestly, it has survived so much of my college shenanigans I feel like its invincible. Accessories include a basic clear, TPU case and an Am@zon recommended screen protector. I am notorious for throwing my phone because I think it's easier for me to set down my phone somewhere far away so I am not tempted to scroll for hours. Thus, throwing my phone somewhere across the room has been the best option for me. It has survived crashing into my bed, my roommate's bed, the open closet, the drawers, and most frequently, the cement floors. Not a mark, a scratch, a dent, or any obvious changes to performance. It has been 8 months since I first touched this phone. Everything runs as normal and I can run big games such as Gensh1n 1mpact without it lagging or force closing at random times like my 1Pad (sigh). Design is as customizable as always and I appreciate that there are so many options to being able to choose my accessibility. I originally only wanted the S20 FE orange edition because of the bright color but honestly, I have found so many more ways that I appreciate this phone.

Bought at Noel Leeming Hawera. The screen is visually nice, although colours are oversaturated. It's nice to touch as well. The phone is much more snappy than my old one too. Apps usually open quickly, and scrolling up and down is fast. I don't play games, so I can't comment on that. Battery life is OK - it seems like that hasn't improved at all in five years since I bought my last phone, which was a lot lighter than this one. Two days. The camera island on the back is too big. I have the phone in a case, but there is a big cut-out in the case for the cameras so the protective glass can rub against pockets and such. I think the anti-reflective coating will wear off the camera cover glass fairly soon, leaving photos looking smeared and dull. Out of the box, photos ... MoreBought at Noel Leeming Hawera. I think the anti-reflective coating will wear off the camera cover glass fairly soon, leaving photos looking smeared and dull. Out of the box, photos look ludicrous, like cartoons, but it's fairly easy to change the setting to "natural", which means not quite ludicrous, just over-saturated, over-contrasty, and skin-like textures (detected by the AI) being over-smoothed. Much like every other Samsung phone; not quite as bad as some iPhones. Auto white balance was good, colour shades are approximately right once you switch to "natural". Instagrammers will probably be very happy with this phone. (Please instagrammers, enable the grid and get your horizons level! Thank you.) The telephoto is a nice feature. Phone sound is reasonable, and phone calls and music and video playing work fine with my Jabra bluetooth earbuds. Not drop-outs or funny behaviour so far, and I haven't noticed much lag. I had trouble with apps crashing a lot after I bought the phone, but an OS update has halved the number of crashes to maybe 20 a day. As above, re-opening apps is quick, so I hardly notice now. I doubt that Samsung will support this model for long (their track record isn't good), so I'm not holding my breath for another OS update. The in-screen fingerprint reader was ridiculously bad before the OS update, but it is now mediocre, so that's a great improvement. I actually use it now, sometimes. Face recognition is fairly quick most of the time. Notifications. Out of the box the phone is set up to notify you about everything and it takes a few hours to prune that back and switch off vibration, if you can't leave "do not disturb" on permanently. But every other phone is the same: phone makers don't value your time or sanity. I bought a refurbished iPhone Xs after this, and tried that out for a while, but I have come back to this phone because it's a little nicer in daily use. Despite the lack of iMessage and FaceTime. Make of that what you will.

Samsung S21+ 5G is a decent phone
23 May 2022

I got this several months ago and this is my second attempt to write this (darn blockers) I upgraded from a Samsung S*+ and the S21+ is, decent. The software for transferring from the old phone is great and is very solid. The phone itself, even without a case feels very solid. The interface can be a bit overwhelming at first in terms of setting up new tones and alarms, but how often do you really have to set those up? The low light camera is very impressive. I had put off updating for a long time because of the fingerprint scanner. The on screen scanner I was hesitant about, and my thoughts on it have been largely fulfilled. The old scanner was "mechanical" and seems far more robust. The onscreen seems a bit finicky and your finger does not naturally go to the location, as the old one placed on the back of the phone did. It can often take several attempts to place your finger correctly to start the phone. Sure, it will tell you where to put your finger, but aside from that, I find it inconvenient. I know why they did it, for more camera space on the rear, but in all honesty, I bought a phone, not a camera, if I wanted one of those I would buy a camera. Overall, I am generally pleased with the phone, but I also miss the notification light on the front. It was handy and since I do not always have my phone glued to me, the flashing indicator was handy. Would I recommend it, sure, its decent. But overall, I feel it has lost more of the handy features they used to have than it gained, unless you shoot a lot of low light pictures.

I will start with Verizon they forgets to tell you how exactly the price works for the phone! So not honest. I also feel this phone is refurbished because it comes up as Johnathan's phone in my car that was brand new. I don't know anybody by the name of Jonathan so it shouldn't say that. The phone locks up all the time it's not good with the Wi-Fi the screen has become so sensitive I look at it and it changes screens and calls people on its own, I will press a app but another one comes up and from time to time the screen be comes distorted.Every other minute Samsung wants me to do something on the phone besides Google constantly wanting to take over. I've had many many phones and this one has been the most frustrating phone ever I can't wait to get rid of it. So with all that being said the good side of this phone the camera takes good pictures except they flip all the time they don't stay how they're supposed to be and I don't have my phone do that. The color on the screen is very vibrant. Oh yes and one other thing not all phone covers work very few and that was never told to me that it was limited to what I could use on it. If they tell you the phone is one price and then charge you another with a measly monthly credit then they shouldn't sell the phone that way they should sell it for the price that they're charging you. I should have backed out of it when I went to sign the paperwork and he's talking so quickly but I didn't so my bad. I would not recommend this phone to somebody and I'd have to say this is the first phone that I've ever felt that way. This was the worst phone with transferring from my previous samsung also. This is probably my 6th Samsung and disappointed with this whole phone and transaction. Completely frustrated

The Hidden Gem of Smart Phones Money Can Buy!!!
9 December 2022

I picked up this device about two years ago coming from a Galaxy S8 Plus and I was completely blown away! This phone is one of the best phones Samsung has ever made! The first thing I had to test out when I first got the phone was the 120hz refresh and man is it a night and day difference with the smoother experience it makes just navigating and scrolling through apps! If you've never used a 120hz screen before you'll never want to turn it off after experiencing it on the phone! If you enjoy watching content and love those bright vibrant colors then you will love this phone. It boasts a 6.7 Amoled screen which is plenty huge for a mobile display and on top of that having one of the best displays on the market, what more can you ask for!? Even though this phone launched in 2020 its big battery and still, plenty powerful processor are still capable of handling everything you throw at including heavy or light gaming, surfing the web, consuming media, and much more. While the camera isn't the best anymore as it is 2022 the shots and videos that this phone can take are still astonishing! Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed with this phone's camera performance! Last but not least this phone is the last Series S phone to still have a micro sd card which is a nice feature to still have as most phones now are moving away from including this

What I would expect from an S Series Samsung
2 March 2023

Replaced my S10 with the S20, as it is the latest samsung S series with expandable memory. The tray for putting in the memory card is not 100% obvious and different from samsung page and previous models, but it is more sturdy, and less fiddley than the old one once you realise the card goes underneath. Everything is better than the S10 as you would expect. Better camera, better battery, slightly bigger, everything else as I would expect. I mostly use it for audio books, streaming music to headphones using bluetooth, looking up info online when out and about, and occasional movie watching in bed when I can't sleep. Serious net surfing on it is not what I use it for though, so cannot comment on that, I use a PC at home for that stuff. This is my third S series Samsung, I keep going back because they do what I need them to do, and last a while. Never had any issues with any of them. I only upgraded from my S10 because my kid dropped and finally damaged the screen on their S7. They will get the S10. Only a lack of memory slot in newer S series will stop me getting another S when it comes time to renew this one.

Well I was very skeptical about switching from my Motorola to a Samsung because Samsung's just aren't as durable. Smh :'-( 1) Says it has a fingerprint sensor however getting it to actually work is virtually impossible! I've tried different fingers, angles, positions, times, days, moods lol heck I've even had other people try to see if it was just me & nothing works! I'll touch it sometimes (several times) in the same spot & nothing but if I scroll & then click it works but idk maybe that one is an operator error. It could use more storage (but I also have a lot of vids) The fingerprint sensor grrr! Wireless charging is a pain, spent $60 on a wireless charger & never use it cause it seems like no matter how I set my phone on it it won't charge. Did I mention how terrible the fingerprint sensor is? :-( Cause it is. I will say the camera is fantastic! Love it, takes great photos so many options, lenses, stabilizer, different modes, the night mode is very impressive & the zoom... Wow! And I do like the ways you can customize it. Thousands of themes, fonts, screensavers, AOD's. It's also a very heavy phone! I have carpel tunnel and holding this phone hurts my hands and wrists so don't get it if you have trouble with yours cause between the weight & the stupid fingerprint sensor you'll regret it.
