Devices created with no external storage SD capabi

That makes the use of other apps in which you want to post a screenshot, a picture, a video or file.It also makes the consumer to spend extra time to find a way or product to send to external storage which is not anything easier but it makes it more work and again your device will no longer hold the information you need to be able to do normal industry standard practice. Then we believe that we can back up our phone files media etc to another form of external storage. And again more work for the consumer to get to the external storage because a cloud of any form from any manufacturer. That creates another industry standard completes problem. Many years ago when computers first came out whether it was desktop and then a wonderful laptop. When you backed up your information and it went into your storage it held a history of backups and you are able to go to a backup if you had done something wrong and deleted any form of data and restart that product to that date and pull back all data backed up. That would include any updates of the product. But logically now industry-wide policy for backup to a cloud does not will not hold a history but instead override the previous history that you believe is saved that you can go to to back up anything to fix and retrieve any data.Whoever thought of and created a device that does not allow external storage of an SD card and it wasn't caught within the company and was signed off from someone within an upper position. When the new product was tested to see if the device worked was only tested for what was built. It was not used by a consumer to see if it helped or not and then the feedback would go to the company to research and decide if there was a way to fix it or add it. we know that we get updates on our devices because they do find and usually from feedback about a problem and they research it and correct it that's why you're getting an update. There is a very simple solution to fix the problem of non-external storage capability whether it be Samsung or other companies who are now going to make that industry-wide possibility. When we are sold a device that is not something somebody would think of to ask but should be told to the consumer to help the decision of purchasing a product. So I challenge and that's a strong word and maybe incorrect to think about this decision and maybe start using consumer-based groups to try the product as a consumer and see if changes affected anything that consumers use on a regular basis. That feedback is recommended to any company that creates a device whether it's a wireless phone a smart TV a refrigerator or any other product or website.Just because it looks good on paper and proposal again I challenge for the companies to get a consumer-based team to try the product before it's mass produced to stop a recall in which I believe the S22 which is the only device I'm noticing it before it's recalled and there is another implicated company or companies that do not realize the devastating effects for their bottom line.I hope that this is not removed from this community room so that a consumer gets the correct information which allows them to make a logical decision on their own whether that is something they want before they buy the product.I am not here to dog Samsung! But when I called Samsung and asked for the SD card goes I was told it's now at microSD card and it is put in the phone in the same drawer as the SIM card. I called my phone carrier I asked the same question. In researching which microSD card to purchase I noticed that any of them were not in the shape or size to put in the drawer under the SIM card. That left me another question. In order to get the correct information which was not correct to begin with I googled the question and found articles that Samsung created and will be creating any product without external storage. There's a philosophy that everyone should live by.If something does not make sense and it's not logical it is not true. And God forbid it is true and in this case it is fix the problem immediately because it this case it's going to affect the entire world because again it could become a worldwide option. So Samsung I ask you in the most extreme and sensitive way to look outside your Samsung window glasses and is a consumer which any employee is and that includes the CEO to research this and I challenge you to prove me wrong and that be the answer to this question.Until that time, consumers beware and be more vigilant to ask a question and read the very fine print or look at the manual and ask questions because the answers of the new designs are not being given as information at the time of purchase

Once again with the S22, Samsung is the undisputed display king. The 120hz refresh is just soooo good, it's like butter.Performance is excellent, benchmarking tests show it outperforms 96% of all phone models out there, and the remaining 4% is quite likely comprised largely of Samsung's own S22+ and ultra, along with last years S21+ and ultra. Browsing web pages is a breeze and consuming media is fantastic-- albeit streaming does drain this battery A LOT.I actually am on my second unit as the first was returned due to major overheating while using the camera. Luckily I haven't experienced that on this particular unit. Gaming would probably be great, ut I don't want to play much given how quick this battery drains under medium to heavy use-- a bit undersized for what this phone is capable of and what it runs, imo. That's really the only knock I can find on this phone. It takes very, very good photos. My favorite mode is probably 3x where the details are just insanely fine, but I like taking advantage of the ultrawide and 10-30x zoom as well. At 30x it can take solid pictures of a full, or near full moon, and I was able to snap one of last week's lunar eclipse that turned our fantastic. NOT bad at all for the "Vanilla" of the 3 models.Design is brilliant, it feels so good and comfortable in hand, and cases fit it like a glove. And the color palate is great. I personally have my S22 in green, and love it. My favorite color and it's a color not terribly common on smartphones as of right now.I do not live in a 5G area, so I run primarily off LTE and WiFi, it handles both exceptionally well, and I can imagine with this processor and CPU, it would flat out blaze on 5G.I will include a couple photos of the moon and some objects I took at 3x and portrait mode as well. This is definitely a good phone with the battery being the only real knock. Fortunately a 25w charger from Samsung can charge it up pretty quickly, particularly when it is under 30%.

Hopefully, can keep the battery healthy.Modes and Routines: Please continue to build on this, probably one of the most useful things I've seen on a smartphone. Can save people clicks when performing certain actions. Can set up routines for charging at night to help improve overall battery life, have Do Not Disturb on when in a specific app, and many others.Going to get a 256 GB USB-C flash drive as I screen record in certain apps where videos can reach over 6 minutes and hit 1 GB in file size of recording at highest quality, regret not getting the 256 GB version but getting a USB-C flash drive may work out as it will cost less. Great features, comfortable to hold. Battery could be better
23 May 2022

Really enjoying my Galaxy S22, though I had to exchange my first one due to a big time heating issue. The performance is fantastic, it is crisp and smooth, 120hz display is like butter, phone feels great in the hands and is a nice change from the "super-sized devices". I live in an area that does not have 5G yet, but I imagine it would be great. It does splendid on Verizon's LTE network.Camera shots are excellent for the most part, though some have come out blurry and unfocused, and it does drain battery rather quickly while in the camera app-- don't even have to be actively shooting photos and you can watch that battery percentage fall. Though st least now unlike my first S22, it is not getting dangerously hot while using the camera. Though st least now unlike my first S22, it is not getting dangerously hot while using the camera. The moon is the most common test subject for this camera system, and it took some rather impressive photos of it. Even got part of the eclipse last week. Pretty capable at 30x zoom if you can keep your hands steady. 3x zoom photos come out incredibly crisp and detailed, and of course the standard 1x photos are superb.Battery is a bit weak, and is the one thing preventing a 5 star rating. It's a powerful phone with an undersized battery. Luckily I still have my 25w super fast charger from my S20 to use to give it a quick charge in a pinch. Takes good charge as well from car chargers made from reputable companies such as Anker as well.1080p resolution is perhaps a step down from the S20, but its not that big of a deal, and thats what I typically ran on that phone anyway. As far as I know, it's impossible to rate in increments of half stars, so I'll give it a 4 star rating, even though I want to give it 4.5, which would be like a 9 out of 10. Will include a couple moon photos, a pic of my cat, and rose for examples of the camera quality.

Why?For several reasons.Firstly, this phone is actually really good, the phones overall design is nice, the glass back, the sides, even the screen are all good aspects of the phone, to top it off it performs really well, with the memory storage, speeds, and graphics support, its a great contender against other flagships from other brands.Secondly, this is a huge step for me personally, from a S7 Edge to a S22, that is a big jump, the performance, battery life, and display are all good pointers, there are a few things missing that I would like to see back but that would bring me to my third reason.Thirdly, my biggest disappointment about this phone is the loss of the headphone jack, SD card slot, and the lack of a good data-cable ... MoreGiving this review 4 stars. The other issue to this is, its a clear copy cat move on Samsung's part, if I want an Apple, ill go get an Apple Phone, stop trying to be like them and try to be yourselves, the SD card slot or external memory was a nice thing to have in your phone, now I have to deal with either the UI (DEX) or windows file explorer, and a headphone jack was nice for when you wanted to listen to music without having to deal with more E-waste like earbuds. Also this phone doesn't come with a USB-C to headphone jack connector, so that was a bummer, and something that should have been included for how much is being charged. So in short? Great phone, but missing out on alot of stuff like a headphone jack, SD card slot, charging brick, data cable, and a USB-C to headphone Connector. Solutions? Atleast put the headphone jack back in and give an option for a charging brick, if you are not going to include a connector with a phone that doesn't have a jack, then its a inconvenience.

Great phone, some caveats.

The Samsung S22 is an excellent phone. It’s packed with all the latest features and sits comfortably in the category of top-tier smartphones. The phone does come with some oddities that can be alleviated through meticulous customization. For example, the preinstalled messaging app is untrustworthy; before I could finish setting up my phone, someone I know had received spam texts with my phone number; this has nothing to do with the hardware itself and is probably incidental. However, preinstalled proprietary apps should be safe. Fortunately, the messaging app can be easily replaced with a more reliable one for free via the Samsung Store. The phone app is quirky and slow, and it’s hard to tell when a call has ended. Fortunately, the messaging app can be easily replaced with a more reliable one for free via the Samsung Store. The phone app is quirky and slow, and it’s hard to tell when a call has ended. I haven’t found a solution for this yet; I’m using One UI 4.1 on Android 12. Hopefully, 4.2 will address this issue. Moreover, unlike my previous phones, I haven’t been able to use Google’s username/password autofill for any of my apps with this phone, which was a tiresome inconvenience until I discovered the solution. Nevertheless, for such an expensive device, the user should be given full autonomy in choosing how their sensitive passwords are managed. The battery on the S22 is a paltry 3700mAh, which is fine considering the size and capabilities of the phone. The camera is relatively good, with three focal lengths, and Samsung provides a free app called Expert RAW that captures images in the DNG format, which is fantastic. Finally, there is no 3.5mm audio jack. However, the “sold separately” Samsung USB to 3.5mm converter does a pretty good job for those that prefer a wired connection; this also allows more audio savvy users to connect a DAC of their choice.

HUGE Dissapointment

I've never been so let down by a new-generation phone. From it's frustrating interface to its intermittent connectivity issues, it's been nothing but a headache that I've wished I could still return. The performance on the phone would be fantastic if it could keep a steady connection. As it is, I have connectivity issues on every app that I use for longer than 10 minutes. Be it a game, a streaming service, or social media. There are solutions on the internet for this problem, but it started during the first WEEK I've had the phone. Not only this, but you should NOT have to factory reset a phone within the first 4 months of having it.This wasn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but the camera was a disappointment as well. Not only this, but you should NOT have to factory reset a phone within the first 4 months of having it.This wasn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but the camera was a disappointment as well. It boasts such fantastic specs, but the pictures themselves come out with poor quality rivaling the generation of phone that came out 7 years ago. While not as important to me personally, it's still frustrating that I ultimately did not get what I paid for.A final point on the matters that make me want to chuck this phone against a wall on a weekly basis is the inaccurate biometrics. Good lord if you do not have your finger aligned exactly right with the prompt, it will not work. If you do not press with the exact degree of force it requires, it will not work. It was not two weeks before one of the fingerprints I registered stopped unlocking the phone completely and had to be re-done.All in all, this phone wasn't even worth the trade-in with AT&T and I wish I could have my busted, broken, S7 Active back because its worth as an item of nostalgia is still far better than this as a functioning phone. If you're looking for a new phone, I promise you can find a phone with better all-around value for likely the same price (if not less).

Overall a good phone

I have had the Galaxy S22+ for about 3 weeks now and so far I like most of what the phone has to offer. The screen is crystal clear, it is really fast, and I am just learning how to use some of the features such as split screen which is really cool. Despite what many have said the battery life has been really good. I watch a lot of YouTube and other videos and I have battery left at the end of the day! There are 2 items that I have found so far that denote the reduction of 1 star from the review, those are the finger print unlock function and the bottom speaker. To put it politely, the finger print scanner is just terrible, rarely ever works. To put it politely, the finger print scanner is just terrible, rarely ever works. I have deleted my finger print and performed the process again, turned up the increased touchscreen sensitivity, and still works terribly. This is very disappointing as I use that function on most all apps that require security. I previously had a Pixel 3xl, which is a 4 year old phone, and that fingerprint scanner worked flawlessly which makes this that much more disappointing.Concerning the speaker, the bottom speaker will randomly sound like the speaker is blown. From my opinion it appears to be a software issue as you can restart the phone and the speaker works perfectly again. From some research I have done this has been an issue since the phone was originally released in 2022. I would think that Samsung would have been able to create a patch for this by now.Overall I am so far satisfied with the phone and would recommend it if you are willing to deal with the few downfalls of the phone.

Very Disappointing
12 July 2022

I have been using my new Galaxy S22 for a week now - and I could not be more disappointed. I upgraded from a Galaxy S9 (amazing phone), and I am starting to think that I should have just gotten the battery fixed on my S9. This phone is not worth its price tag whatsoever - I don't even know where to start. The battery is nothing special - gets me a couple more hours than my S9 did, and with minimal usage and five apps installed (none of which have high battery consumption). Size is okay, but the camera and side button layouts are very impractical. Whenever I hold the phone, my fingers block and smudge the camera lenses, and it is very uncomfortable and inconvenient having all the side buttons on one side (very difficult to take a screenshot). Size is okay, but the camera and side button layouts are very impractical. Whenever I hold the phone, my fingers block and smudge the camera lenses, and it is very uncomfortable and inconvenient having all the side buttons on one side (very difficult to take a screenshot). Bixby should have its own button - another sad discontinuation of a useful feature. Edge panel is nearly impossible to use because of the discontinuation of the edge screen (which I quite enjoyed), especially with a heavy-duty phone case like mine (raised edges, which are absolutely necessary for a phone made as cheaply as this one). I don't know why they got rid of the LED indicator - that was one of the most useful features on both my S9 and S7. The camera in regular lighting is nothing special - basically the same as my S9; although, I will say that the night photos have impeccable quality. I don't know why they got rid of the headphone jack, as this phone's battery capacity simply cannot withstand using bluetooth for wireless headphones hours on end. The display and animations are amazing, and processing speed is great; but again, not much better than even the Galaxy S8 in my personal opinion. The proximity sensor is trash unless I am sitting directly in the blazing sunlight (I am assuming because of the "updated" technology, all for the sake of getting an extra eighth of an inch on the screen), and for some reason, the buttons lag or don't register my touch every time when I enter my PIN on the lock screen. Overall, the only good things about this phone are night photos and display. I didn't mind having the eighth of an inch of screen taken up with sensors and indicators on my S9, and I found each of those "sensors" useful. I don't understand what the obsession is with getting a near 100% screen-to-body ratio on new Samsung phones is - but it's very annoying and in my opinion frivolous. I also would love to know why Samsung stopped including travel adapters with their phones? Oh, right - more profit for them. I have absolutely no use for whatever cord they included in the box with my S22 - I have no adapter to plug it into, and need to use my old (and trustworthy) S9 charge cord. I wish Samsung would go back to the S8 and S9 types of designs, or at least offer other flagship alternatives for those that were happy with the S9 and below. This phone is more for entertainment and enjoyment rather than work and practicality, and I still need to carry my power bank and charge cord around with me - something I was hoping that I could stop doing with a new phone.
