I have had my Galaxy S24 ultra for about 8 to 9 months and it's the best phone I've had through my years of experience. The system UI is very easy to understand and customize to your needs and preferences with how you live your day to day life. The camera and picture quality is top notch and you have many options for making the shot just right or editing your pictures afterwards. Another great thing is the long battery life that last for hours and hours even with heavy phone usage and having multiple apps running at the same time while also having max performance and picture quality settings turned on. I got the S24 ultra as a replacement to my S23 ultra. So this is largely a comparison between the two.The S24 ultra did away with the curved edge screen, which is very convenient for screen protectors because it allows use of the cheaper, easier to install electrostatic adhesive glass protectors instead of the messy dome glass protectors with the uv-reactive adhesive.The camera performs as good as the S23 ultra. Without a side-by-side comparison, it's hard to tell any difference.Unlike the S23 ultra, which for me had issues pairing with the stylus when I pulled it out, the stylus works without issue when you pull it out of the S24 ultra.The biggest improvement I can tell is the improved battery life due to the new snapdragon processor. The main thing that I'd have to say I fell in love with moving up from my Galaxy S23 Ultra to my current Galaxy S24 Ultra is the camera. The new 5x 50MP camera made all of the difference when taking pictures. Before, zooming in even a little bit meant the quality would be reduced significantly after it switched cameras but now - it's VERY well balanced and the camera app is also finally COMPLETELY seamless. No hiccups. It just works!I was skeptical with how Galaxy AI would've turned out but I've been pleasantly surprised. The image editing features with AI, such as cropping, cutting out unwanted people/objects, and how it very creatively adds elements to pictures when readjusting the image angle are all VERY spot on. I have had my Galaxy S24 Ultra for a few months now and I absolutely love it so far. It definitely outpaces my old Galaxy S21 FE, and straight-up blows it out of the water in many ways. I work in cellphone sales and have a really hard time justifying any other phone available on the market as being better than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Even in comparisons of any singular segment of specifications, the Galaxy S24 Ultra shines through the competition.The battery life is perfect and generally lasts a full day for me, even with heavy usage. The only time I notice it draining quickly is when downloading/uploading large amounts of data, or while using the video camera for UHD 120 fps video - especially with the flash on. I was deciding between the S24 Plus and Ultra models. The S24 Ultra's built in stylus and better telephoto zoom are what sold me on it. In hindsight I think I would have been happier with a lighter and rounder (less edgy corners) phone at the expense of the aforementioned features.I've used the zoom on a few trips and to try to get close up photos of the moon, reading far off signs, and to get a better cropped photo of scenic landscapes.The stylus comes in handy for signing documents, circling details in photos, and handwriting notes mixed with drawings.The three complaints I have with the S24 Ultra is the software. I've owned this phone since launch, and until recently it would freeze up randomly, and I would have to restart the phone by holding the power ... I think a recent software update may have fixed it, but it's hard to tell.The only way to paste a sticker (a clipped image from a photo in your gallery) is with the Samsung keyboard. You should be able to access these saved stickers some other way if using an alternative keyboard such as Gboard.The final issue is with the interface and switching between Windows. If I am typing a message or inputing text into a field then switching to a different window for information, the phone should realize I had my keyboard open when going back to the previous app. Instead I have to manually open the keyboard again.
