Samsung Galaxy S23 5G 128GB 8GB RAM Snapdragon Dual Sim - Green

This device is perfect for most people. I'm not really into huge phones so I got the smallest size - which was the Samsung S23. After having this phone for several months, I got some strong opinionsFirst, this device has really good camera quality for most people. I had a hard time with the fingerprint sensor (may have been because of my screen protector), but I found ways to overcome the difficulty. The first thing I did was re-register my fingerprint when the screen protector was on, and record several instances of my finger. The sensor, despite being ultrasonic, may take a while to recognize the fingerprint. It may also get some time before you get used to the sensor, as it may take a while the first couple of weeks.Lastly, the display is AMAZING. Having upgraded from a 2 year device, I thought the display would only be a slight improvement. But no, it comes with 60-120hz display and I have seen almost zero lag when watching videos or playing games. (Btw this phone plays high performance games like genshin impact like a boss).This is easily a phone which I would give a 10/10. After getting used to this device, the drawbacks don't really matter or become relevant.

A nice upgrade

I bought S24+ a week ago. The first thing I noticed is that it's slightly larger and heavier than my [very] old S10. However, the performance is nothing short of stunning. While I haven't had much time to really get into it, I noticed that the fingerprint sensor is lightning fast, the NFC works much better than before, and the apps are far more responsive and open much quicker.Google Assistant integration is much more notable than before, but I'm not sure how useful this is [due to Google Assistant limitations].Speech quality is amazing. During a phone call, you the other side is sharp, crisp, and perfectly clear. It's absolutely pointless to talk about image quality, because it's superb.The sound [on external speaker] is actually a disappointment. On the old phone, when you flip it horizontally, you get this spacial, quasi-stereo effect, while S24+ sounds mono to me, and the quality of external speaker sound seems lower.The other thing is the buttons. I really don't like that all buttons are now on the right hand side. Getting a screenshot is a bit fiddly now, when I need to simultaneously press two buttons on the same side of the phone.

Biggest regret

My most recent phone was the S21, which had great camera and overall responsiveness. I was generally pretty satisfied and the only reason I upgraded was just impulsiveness.When I switched to the S23 FE, I immediately noticed UI bugginess with touch and freezing. When unlocking the phone, or waking it with double tap, the screen will seem to try and swipe partially to unlock but just sits there and jitter, until you lock the phone and start over again.The camera quality was washed out and significantly worse than the S21. It was especially noticeable on lighter skin tones, where people would look more sickly green/white.The fingerprint scanner is an absolute nightmare, and only works 50% of the time. Which brings me to the next point.One of my biggest complaints is that when I put my phone in my front pocket, it constantly vibrates because it registers as touch in my pocket (yes, accidental touch protection is on). This causes the phone to constantly check for touch, which causes it to vibrate because it doesn't recognize the fingerprint, which turns the phone hot while in my pocket and drains the battery. I find myself frequently holding my phone while walking because of this. None of my previous phones have ever had this problem before.I honestly regret buying this phone, and wish I never even got it.

Modern phone keeps up with the modern lifestyle

I have used this phone for 1.5 weeks so far. I previously owned a competitors phone and honestly won't be looking back. I opted for the S23+ as I don't need the additional features and power of the Ultra, and despite not being Samsung's top flagship model, it does not disappoint! I'm a heavy user of my phone and to be getting 2 days of use per charge as opposed to needing to top up the previous phone at least once per day is incredible! The performance has been seamless and the ability to customise multiple aspects of the phone to my liking has been a game changer. The camera is absolutely stunning and the pictures I have taken so far look so good that to get anywhere close to that on my previous phone, I needed to heavily edit the picture. Sad and disgusted

My daughter bought me the S23 FE galaxy for my birthday in December. I have not liked this phone due to many of the previous phone capabilities I had that are not possible with this model. A few days ago, Samsung updated my UI on my phone and since that my phone quit working. I could not place or get text messages. I soon found out I was also not receiving phone calls, and then discovered I could not make any either. My carrier did some trouble shooting and I was able to test message and receive test message, but I still could not receive or make phone calls. I called my carriers IT department and was told to put on internet calling, which somehow allowed me to make calls but still not receive calls. No only did my phone not allow me to download files and restore but losing everything still did not fix whatever was preventing me from receiving calls. My daughter spent her money on this phone to do something nice for her mom. A twist of fate landed her homeless, which now now makes me feel like dirt because the money paid on this phone would have kept a roof over her head. No phone, No house, and no patience. I loved Samsung galaxy phones. They were all I have had for the last 10 years and now I am not so sure if I trust them.

Samsung is the Apple of Android

I was genuinely blown away by this phone, switching from a now 7 year old OnePlus 5T. The difference is night and day. I don't envy Samsung for the seemingly impossible task of coming up with a successor to this model. How do you improve upon perfection? If you are contemplating on buying the S24: don't, just get the S23 instead. Much cheaper and "good enough".If I have to nitpick, I don't like the fingerprint reader - it is on the screen, which means it is hard to find "blindly" - and also took me about 10 minutes of cursing to setup, until it accepted my finger. I use wireless and wired headphones, depending on the situation - removing a small part that costs maybe 2 cents and has no downsides is just stupid.Finally, for those asking whether the phone shipped by Digitec is the DE or the CH version, I have not yet registered to Samsung Pay (which would allow me to use my phone as a credit card), but WiFi calling is enabled and works with Wingo / Swisscom.
