I came from the s22 intending to see if there was a resonable improvement before deciding if i would keep the device. The s23 has some changes that some would deem small but that make a big difference to me. Battery health is improved for sure. I love the changes to the rear camera bezel, my s22 had wear marks on the edges of the old bezel from just putting it down and picking it up. The earpiece speaker of the s22 was also large enough that debris constantly got inside and I could see it, which dove me nuts. The s23 has a more narrow speaker grill so I no longer have that problem. I love the color of my s23 as well, the green looks great especially with the new camera bezels. Only two things keep me from giving it a 5/5. It can just barely be felt with a fingernail, so i worry that debris may start to work its way in eventually. Second is Bixby. I use bixby over google assistant. I do not feel as though bixby has gotten any upgrade in its AI to capitalize on the new snapdragon in the s23, and as a result it simply feels the same or soemtimes less responsive than it did on my s22. That will likely improve in future updates, but is still worth noting. All in all, I am quite pleased with my upgrade to the s23 due to the design improvements.

Battery and Fingerprint Reader get 2 big thumbs up I've had this phone for 11 days (S23, cream colored, 256GB RAM), and can already say that I find it superior to the S10. FINGERPRINT READER: The S23's fingerprint reader is fast and accurate! The S10's biggest flaw for me was its in-screen fingerprint reader, which more often than not didn't get a good read (esp. when my fingers were cold), and even when it did get a good read it was slightly slow in its response. The S23 has shed both of these problems; it's inscreen fingerprint reader is extremely fast in its response time, and I haven't had a single "try again" in 11 days of use regardless of how cold my fingers are, or at what angle I lay my finger. BATTERY: I am extremely satisfied with the S23s battery. BATTERY: I am extremely satisfied with the S23s battery. It is so battery efficient that for the first time in my life I decided to enable the "Protect battery" setting that stops charging the battery at 85%. Even only charging to 85% on this phone I have no "range anxiety" due to the amazing efficiency of the processor. CAMERA: I love the 3x optical zoom on the camera, which is 50% longer than the S10's optical zoom. SPEAKERS: The quality of the speakers is great, as were those of the S10. I don't notice a big difference between them, but the great quality continues LOOKS: The phone looks great (though I do wish the chrome sides were slightly less shiny on the cream colored version, like they are on the green version). I like the looks so much that I wanted to keep it naked (caseless), but despite that desire there are two reasons that I ended up going with a minimalistic case (the Spigen Ultra Hybrid): 1) the glass back is slippery enough that I thought it might slip out of my hands when pulling it out of my jeans pocket; 2) when typing on the S23 while it was laying on a flat surface, the phone would rock back and forth due to the camera bump...the case solves this flattens the whole back out so that I don't get that rocking. I am *very* happy with my switch from the S10 to the S23.

I bought this phone when it came out as I usually do with all Galaxy S models, however older models seemed to have several glitches when purchased within the first week of release and always had to get replacement phones within the first 3 weeks. The S23 is by far the best ever. Camera features are the greatest feature for me. I instantly became a photographer lol. Yes older models had good cameras too but this one is just way better. My daughter and I compared photo quality and zooming in and well my 23 wasbthe obvious better one.I like the color is the best thus far (besides the flamingo pink which I wish they came back with but havent since the S10). The video and sound quality is beyond what i expected its so clear and loud I love it. The Samsung logo feels kinda like a grip which is wonderful because I have small hands and constantly dropped older models. Best phone ever made if you really want to customize your phone to the fullest. The speed of this phone is incredible. The biometric security is much better than the iPhone 14 pro (I know because i bought my daughter that phone and her younger sister and myself can both unlock her phone with our faces but her twin sister cant). It charges super fast. I do have a few things I don't really like about this phone. The phone is on the heavier side, the battery dies quicker than I think it should, it's a bit more squared than other models( I like the more curvy phones because they're easier for me to hold I have extremely small hands I'm a dwarf), and sometimes the camera lenses on the back feel little to hot. There a still alot of features I haven't figured out yet but I know when I do they'll be awesome to.
The Good: From a technical perspective, the phone is at the top of its class. It's fast, the screen is bright, there are plenty of customization options, the camera takes excellent photos, and the base model (S23) fits nicely in your hand. It's nice that they offered an option that isn't too big or bulky and doesn't take up too much room in your pocket. Any of the bigger offerings weren't even considered by me, despite their increased performance. The Bad: In my personal opinion phones have become so homogenized today that it's a bit disappointing; they all end up looking like slight variations from each other. Aesthetically, this phone is just milquetoast, and looks like any other phone today with no striking features. Aesthetically, this phone is just milquetoast, and looks like any other phone today with no striking features. That's just an opinion of course, but my real and tangible complaints have to due with the features I feel are missing. I can't believe that the headphone jack is all but extinct and the notification light is gone. Maximum front screen real estate is overrated in my opinion. Give me what I want. So what's my version of an ideal phone? Here's my dream list: 1. Body Shape: HTC M8. Though not aluminum as overheating was an issue. Carbon fiber would be both excellent and striking. The curved shape of the rear on the M8 felt great in your hand. 2. Body Size: S23 has the biggest size I personally would prefer. 3. Back Coating: Asus Zenfone 9 for anti slip and durability. 4. Features: Headphone jack, front facing speakers, notification light. Wireless charging.
My husband and I switched plans to T-Mobile through a large box membership store, and we received incentives for both of our old devices. Both of our phones were about 6-7 years old and the batteries were struggling to keep up. I have always been a Droid user and my husband has been using I-phone for about 10 years now. Over time I have seen him navigate on his phone. This Samsung Galaxy S23 has a bit of an I-phone feel, like in the way it swipes or the photo gallery. The phone is fine and feels good in my hand. The size is very comparable to what I had with my previous phone, an LG G6. I mainly use my phone for texting, reading or passing time scrolling; no games or excessive use as other users may do. I was accustomed to holding the phone in my left hand and being able to use the Back button which was on the left side of my menu bar. On this phone, the Back button is on the right, so my thumb will not stretch all the way over, if I'm scrolling one handed. Minor complaint. My previous phone had a power button on the backside, which made it very handy for waking it up. I miss that. This device's buttons are on the right side, so it's just one more thing to have to get used to. The camera is very nice and takes photos in a similar way as an I-phone, in my opinion. There are a lot of settings that I'm trying to recreate from my old phone, such as notification sounds and icons but really those are just things that will take time to find and redo, nothing against the device. I've been using this new phone for two weeks now, and things are fine. Oh love the battery life - I stream music all day at work and the battery barely gets chewed up. Yes I realize that it still has new device strength but it's still something worthwhile to point out.

I enjoy using this awesome smartphone because of the superb build quality - sleek & clean design. My favorite part about the S23’s design is just how comfortable the size is and how lightweight it is. From the moment I turned the Galaxy S23 on, I was thoroughly impressed by the screen. It’s incredibly vibrant in its colors — the blacks are rich and deep, and text is sharp and crisp — just as you’d expect from a flagship phone. The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate also makes scrolling very smooth. Samsung and Qualcomm worked together to make this particular version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 have a faster CPU clock speed and more software efficiency for image processing. Basically, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy makes the S23 superfast. I’ve been using the phone for a few weeks now, and I have yet to encounter any frame rate lag or choppiness in my typical daily use. All the apps I need load up instantly once I open them, switching between apps is simultaneous, and capturing photos and videos is quick. Because of this, it is hard not to take a good picture with the Galaxy S23. In my time with the S23, I’m getting around two full days of use from a single charge - and I really enjoy that. Overall, I personally have been enjoying the Samsung Galaxy S23 quite a lot. A phone that has a sleek and compact design that feels excellent to hold and use one-handed. The display is sharp and beautiful, with vibrant colors and rich blacks. Performance is fast and the cameras are reliable. LOVE IT
So far I think the phone is solid. My upgrade was from an S20 so, I did not like having to give up the SD card at all, but it was something I was going to have to do at some point so I bit the bullet and went with a 256GB S23. I do not care for larger phones because I carry it in my pocket. The 23 was actually slightly smaller than my 20 so that was a bonus. The battery is supposed to be smaller in the 23 than the 20 but I'm getting better battery performance from the newer phone with more efficient chips. I'm not yet noticing a speed deficiency from the lesser RAM capacity from the 20 to 23. One bug that will hopefully be resolved is the notifications. I inconsistently receive them across multiple platforms. I have gone into the general notifications in setup and through apps individually and toggled them off/on to try to trigger them into working and tried updating the apps but it is still inconsistent at best and still not get message notifications occasionally. The other inconsistent tool is the fingerprint scanner on the screen. While it is leaps and bounds better than the S20 junk scanner it still pales in comparison to the fingerprint reader on an old S8 that was next to the camera lens. It is very finicky and I have been locked out of my phone and apps on multiple occasions which is frustrating, something I never had issues with on the S8. Other than that I am very happy with my upgrade. The camera is nice and I like the aluminum casing instead of plastic.
First off, the phone is very thick for a flagship 2023 device. I get that it's the "base model" (which has no significant differences from the 23+/ultra mind you,) but I feel like Samsung could have streamlined it more, the thickness adds a certain "dated" quality to it. Although it is aesthetically pleasing with its sharp edges and classy trim - the cream version has an almost gold hue to it. It is well designed despite the aforementioned. It is crammed with every Samsung and Google app in existence, even both assistants, so you may have some cleaning to do depending on how many of their apps you use. It feels best when held with the left hand and operated with the right. Pixel buds work fantastically with the device, haven't ventured to get the Samsung buds but ... MoreFirst off, the phone is very thick for a flagship 2023 device. It feels best when held with the left hand and operated with the right. Pixel buds work fantastically with the device, haven't ventured to get the Samsung buds but I'm sure they work just as amazing. I feel like the battery drains a little too fast, but that's probably just me using BT and having a widget running. Although the 25W fast charger makes up for the battery difference between models because you can zap it back up to full from basically dead in under an hour. You could choose either of the 3 models and be very pleased with the device. The only real difference is whether you care for the extra ~1000Mah and slightly bigger screen. Overall, it's a great phone, especially for the deal you can get on one. I only paid taxes (like $70) otd after a JUMP upgrade on T-Mobile.
