I was happy with this phone so far. It's a bit of a downgrade from my aging Galaxy s model but to be honest I didn't see much of a difference between this one and the flagships. The phone quality is as good as the S models. It does have a plastic back but if you are going to use a case it's no big deal. The processor speed fits my needs. If you are a big gamer or social media user you may need to charge your phone more often. But for me even on my heavy Social media usage days I still have enough battery life to get me through the day. Overall the phone fit my needs. The cameras work well and take clear photos. The call quality is clear and I haven't had any dropped calls. I liked the option for the expandable storage as well. I will not that the phone does not ... MoreI was happy with this phone so far. Set up on my current cell provider was a breeze so I haven't had any real issues as of yet.

I absolutely love this phone. I'm a big fan of Android phones. It has a nice size screen display. It has a high amount of storage. It looks stylish. The camera is great! I really like the slow-motion feature for videos and pictures. It has a good layout that makes it easy to find and complete tasks. It even has a health app that makes it easier to keep track of my exercise and blood pressure. I would definitely recommend this phone for every day use.

Still loving it, I'll admit I was very skeptical at first. For one, buying something like this, online, refurbished, and unable to physically hold it prior to purchasing is a little scary. However the guys at plug.tech definitely walk the walk if they talk the talk! 100% satisfaction guaranteed! I purchased this device to replace the exact model which had a totally cracked screen and repair was going to be pretty much the price of a brand new device. Glad that I found these guys, will definitely be a returning customer.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Is A Slim Version. It runs really fast! Also with the unlocked features; I was able to transfer my Sim card very easily from my old phone. Having the extra storage of 64 GB makes it really easy. The Camera on this phone is the best I have seen yet!I'm glad I decided to go ahead and get a phone case because I'm hoping to keep this phone As Long As Possible Lol!!!Plus the slim size makes it easier to fall out of your hands.
I've had my Samsung Galaxy S8 since it's release.I bought it from a Verizon store-front, in the local mall.It came with a VR headset and controller.I got it- to keep in contact with my Mom.I was travelling from California to Europe, for the first time, all by myself. As a Pre-Teen.Genuinely, this is the best phone I've ever had, and one of the best decisions I have made.It came out at the time; with "All the newest features"Which by todays standards, still make it a very competitive phone. In many comparisons, analytically "Better" as well! This phone was made with "The future" in mind- and it shows. From the curved screen, to IR Iris scan.Fingerprint scanner on the rear.No buttons on the face.Truly a future-proof device.I've upgraded it ... MoreI've had my Samsung Galaxy S8 since it's release.I bought it from a Verizon store-front, in the local mall.It came with a VR headset and controller.I got it- to keep in contact with my Mom.I was travelling from California to Europe, for the first time, all by myself. And replaced my screen once, from neglectfully dropping it onto the concrete. It's still fast, very sharp. And has been a companion of mine for years- and for years to come.I'm considering an upgrade, not for awhile,- but even then when I do, I will always keep this phone on me.These newer Galaxy's have been catching my eye.I think I'll wait a little longer, though.
To get it out of the way I'll do the negative first. Bixby cannot be removed from the phone so there is a button that can't be used for something else as it dedicated to Bixby. Display - excellent. There is a function to reduce the amount of blue so those who find the screen too glaring can have a more comfortable experience. Personally I have 59yr old diabetic eyes and find that just using Night mode all of the time is adequate. The increased screen size has made texting much easier as now I can use the keyboard properly and not have to use the very tips of my fingers. Sound - fully polyphonic and very clear. I previously used and found the sound during calls a bit distorted. I previously used and found the sound during calls a bit distorted. Battery life - I'm still breaking the phone in, I'm assuming that as a Grade A refurb the battery was replaced so it hasn't been recharged enough times to reach it's full potential, but I am getting approx 4 days on light use, 2 days when fiddling with set up, downloading, etc. Security - face recognition, fingerprint, retinal image, PIN. I haven't bothered with face recognition just in case there is a poor unfortunate out there who looks similar to me. Retinal image - is good except because I wear glasses for close up and you have to remove them to use the function I then find I can't see the screen toline up my eyes. This is nothing to do with Samsung purely an idiosyncrasy of this type of Biometrics. The finger scanning is very good when I get my finger in the right position. If you choose any of the Biometrics functions and have difficulties you can still gain access very simply by using your PIN. I picked up a very good leather phone wallet on eBay for less than 6. I don't think I'll ever master all of the functions - there are many different finger taps using varying numbers of fingers If you're looking to change phones I strongly suggest giving the Samsung Galaxy S8 + serious consideration. I'd add a product photo but it's a bit difficult for obvious reasons.
Gave one star because it's a nice phone. Phone set up with straight talk was quick. But incorrect. I have no LTE reception unless there's an internet connection. Which means the device is useless for navigation listening to music searching for info ..... Also to phone will often not accept incoming calls or allow me to make out going calls which means missed important messages. When I reboot the phone it usually fixes the phone issue but to little to late. As for iconver support, there are no warm bodies to be found. Iconvert did email me a line by line description of the correct phone set up, which is different from my phone. I talked to straight talk on a least 6 different occasions to correct the issue and was only able to get the phone properly set up. Because ... MoreGave one star because it's a nice phone. Because I'm on a fixed income smashing the phone and buying another isn't an option. I want a new correctly set up to straight talkphone as advertised. Other wise run don't walk to another company to purchase a device.
I ordered a refurbished phone November 9th knowing it meant there could be scratches on the screen. I received the phone, with a cracked screen on Nov 14. I immediately contacted the seller and started the return process. I was given the run around about the screen being cracked. They wanted pictures, sent pictures...Wanted more pictures of the whole screen, sent more pictures. I was given a label to finally return rhe product on November 18th...took it to a fed ex location and dropped it off. I have been goung back n forth for days now...still no phone! It is now December 5th and was told the package is lost but claim has to be filed by shipper. Shipper sent me a refund notice, but have to wait up to 5 more days! Extremely unhappy!!
I am relatively happy with my purchase. I should have done some research on the model I bought before I purchased it. The battery life isn't the greatest and thats okay. I just should have done a little more home work.I did get it hooked up per the company's instructions. It took a day and a half to get all bugs worked out instead of the 15 minute hook up that was advertised. But I did get it hooked up and everything working, so thats all good.It came with a 128GB SD Card instead of the 256GB that I purchased. There again no big deal just like to get what a person purchased. I haven't contacted the company yet I wanted to use the phone for a few weeks before I left a comment. All in all, I would recommend iconvertwireless to anyone looking for a new phone to ... MoreI am relatively happy with my purchase. I have a love-hate relationship with this phone, after coming to it from a Nokia 2.3 (which has quirks of its own.) Pros: - Always On Display is brilliant! Now I can just touch the screen to see the time instead of fumbling for the side button. - Slimmer than my old phone (but just as long, a little too long for my pocket, unlike my S5 Mini) - Nifty galaxy starfield effect moves as the phone moves. Cons: - Terrible reception, it's usually never higher than 2/5 bars and apprently they all suffer from this. Until the S8, in 20 years, I had never had a phone call drop out. Ever. I've only made one call since I've had the S8, it dropped out 3 times in 10 minutes. My other phones almost always showed 5/5 bars. - Quiet. I've only made one call since I've had the S8, it dropped out 3 times in 10 minutes. My other phones almost always showed 5/5 bars. - Quiet. Even cranked up to max volume, I've still missed a call and an alarm when I was away from the phone. I always heard my S5 and the Nokia in the same situation. - Short battery life. I expected this, but not to such a high degree. I don't think it would make it through two whole days for the average user. But to balance it out, it does recharge quickly. Overall: - The bad reception is the deal breaker, everything else is tolerable or has a workaround, but if the phone fails at its primary function - being a voice phone - then I can't trust it to work when I need it. Luckily for me my major use for my phone is as a calendar, SMS device and an alarm clock, but the average user might find the S8 problematic. ** Please note that the seller was excellent and my comments relate purely to the phone itself.
