Thin, crisp lines and clear graphics. A responsive tablet with a screen that's large enough for most all uses yet small enough to carry in most inside coat pockets. Charging time is reasonable and battery life is good enough for a long day, about 10-12 hours. Setup is straight forward except when it comes to transferring data from an older computer, tablet or iPh9ne. There are built-in steps and instructions to help you transfer data external data. Unfortunately it assumes you understand USB cabling jargon. The instructions only say to you need to "connect" the two devices. The heavy-duty protection is only necessary for rough use. I recommend this because the 10.4 and larger tablets are narrow, thin and can feel slippery so it CAN slip right out of your hands. The good ones can be purchased on-line, since manufacturers typically sent the good ones to brick and mortar companies. Over all, from my experience, I'd say the device is most satisfactory for my use.

I bought this tablet specifically because it was advertised as being able to increase internal storage via SD Card. We just reached our 32gb limit of internal space and purchased an SD Card. Turns out you can only store photos etc on the SD Card. I already pay for cloud storage for those things so the SD card was a waste of money. Our 32gb internal storage was used up really quickly with apps/games for both my son and I. None of which can be stored on the SD Card so now we have a tablet that wont hold all the apps/software we need and I'm not sure what to do. I'm constantly having to delete apps so that I can download the one I need, then deleting that app after using it so I can download the app I deleted in order to use that. I looked over the advertising again ... MoreI bought this tablet specifically because it was advertised as being able to increase internal storage via SD Card. I looked over the advertising again and it's very misleading, the wording implies that the SD Card works as an extension of the internal storage, I couldn't see it mentioned anywhere that it only applied to certain types of files and not software. The tablet even has the option to move apps to the SD Card, but when I do that it doesn't change the storage totals and never actually appears on the storage list for the SD Card, it is still listed under internal storage but with a note that its on the SD Card. I'm furious that I spent hundreds of dollars on a device that doesn't do what I need it to. So if you are considering this product because of the additional storage capability, make sure you take stock of exactly what type of storage you need and whether it can be stored on the SD Card. If not you will need to purchase one with larger internal storage.

I thought I had balanced my expectations of this device, but was left seriously disappointed. OK so this is a budget device and I got it significantly below the standard list price due to my student discount and even at that price I was disappointed. If I'd paid full price for this tablet without a doubt it would have been sent back. I needed a basic tablet to do emails, a bit of web browsing and some reading. For those functions provided you are willing to put up with the sluggish performance it's just about OK. If you buy this tablet expect to wait a few seconds for apps to load, expect to wait several seconds when you click into a text field for the keyboard to jerk slowly into view, don't expect to multi-task or run anything but basic applications. I didn't expect a premium or fast device here, but equally I didn't expect that the tablet would struggle to do simple things like bring up a keyboard on screen. I certainly didn't expect that it would not even be capable of implementing basic expectations of the operating system. On a number of occassions I've tried using the search feature within settings, on every occassion I've been left with a spinning circle for several minutes whilst the tablet attempts futilely to perform a simple search. Every time I've had to give up and use Google to find out where the setting I need is instead. I'll put up with this tablet for now until budget allows for an upgrade, but unless you are on a limited budget I would stronly recommend spending a little bit more for a more capable device.

I've got the 32 gb tablet. It's been a great device better than the iPad. However you Can Not use the micro SDcard to put apps on, these use up the most space. I made the big mistake thinking I could do this at the moment I have to remove apps I use to make room for updates that take up storage space. I even reset my tablet thinking that it would just install the latest updates only to give me the used up storage. Sadly once again this didn't work. At this rate of up dates which you have to do so you can use the apps I'm going to have to continue to remove apps to the point where I won't have many at all seems a bit silly hey. Eventually all I'll be able to use the tablet for is internet use. The only thing I can do is buy another ATab with at least 100gb. It's a ... MoreI've got the 32 gb tablet. I bought this a little less then a year ago and I will give some pros and cons. Pros: -great features and controls. Small things make a difference, like a blue light filter to a kids mode, focus mode, and app controls. Thats something samsung in general is great at. -nice and sleek build, not the best of the best but excellent for the price. -one thing thats great about this tab is its excellent sound. Its pretty impressive for this kind of a tablet to have that. -this tablet has a pretty great battery life that lasts through a day of usage. -its great that these samsung tablets connect straight to youre android so plus for the connectivity to phones. -very nice and appealing picture quality for this price. -this tablet also has a pretty great camera Cons: -ive been ... MoreI bought this a little less then a year ago and I will give some pros and cons. This may be due to the fact that at a certain point I overworked it with downloading files that were too large in size. -the screen seems to brake a easily but this can be prevented. I cannot make too many other complaint because for the price of this great tablet you're getting a lot. If you're looking for something to cover general needs go for it. But, if you're looking for somethings more serious like, gaming or things similar to editing, then I'd advise you to get a device that has a greater and more powerful RAM and software power, as well as a more pixelated screen. If that's what you need I'd opt for a newer samsung tablet but overall this tablet is packed with features, and abilities that will surely capture you and fulfill you're needs.
Let me preface by saying I NEVER give product reviews. I got sucked into the hype of a shiny new toy at a low price, and was quickly disappointed with a fancy looking tablet with poor performance. The camera is terrible, apps can be laggy and the keyboard is worse than my 7 year old iPhone. Even typing this review I am getting frustrated at the cursor. Screen- okish Battery- average Performance - laggy with lots of open apps, awkward app closing mechanism Size - good for kindle app, though you cannot purchase books directly on the app for some reason If you are looking for a cheap tablet, spend a hundred bucks more and get something with higher spec. Love this! Huge 10.4 inch screen and it gets the bramd new android 13- one ui 5.0 update. My favorite thing about android is personalization and Samsung straight wrote the book on it! Goodlock. The most amazing application ive ever used. Its like having root access but better. You can completely theme this tablet to your hearts desire! I love the aluminum body and the barely there bezel. Its almost all screen!! And its easy to hold and super snappy and quicker than most tablets out there. If it wasent for Samsung inwouldnt even bother with a tablet. This is my 3rd tablet i boughtbfrom Samsung and i havent been disappointed
I needed a new tablet to replace my aging Tab E which is now over 6 years old. I use my tablet for web browsing, social media, banking, shopping, Netflix, YouTube and the like. I decided to go with the Tab A7 as it looked like it fits the bill. So far I have not been disappointed. Performance is solid and the display is more than bright enough at over 300 nits brightness with excellent contrast and vivid colours. I was able to copy my apps and photos over from my phone and set up overall was a simple, straightforward process. I like the larger, 10.4 inch display which makes everything much easier to read than on my old tablet. Connectivity is excellent and seamless. I like the larger, 10.4 inch display which makes everything much easier to read than on my old tablet. Connectivity is excellent and seamless. I find 32 gigs of storage on this device to be more than adequate for what I use it for. I did delete a few preinstalled apps I don't want or need and that freed up a good bit of space as well. Battery life is solid although the included charger is slower than molasses in January. I went with an open box deal and was extremely satisfied with this product. The tablet arrived in brand new perfect condition. I've bought stuff from OpenBox before and they do not disappoint. I will definitely be purchasing from them again. I only have a couple of minor nitpicks: I find this tablet heavy which is unavoidable. A larger tablet means more battery and more glass and those things come with a weight penalty. For the life of me I don't know why the industry insists on putting a rear camera on these tablets. They are next to useless. I'd rather see that nixed in favour of a higher quality camera on the front for better video calling. RAM now is cheap and three gigs just won't cut it. I haven't experienced issues with lag but apps are getting larger and more RAM hungry. This tablet should have shipped with at least 4 gigs of RAM, minimum, This is far from being the perfect tablet but for the vast majority of people this will definitely fit the bill. Honestly, why pay more for a basic media and streaming device? As a side note I've noticed people in some other reviews having some problems. FYI: there is a user manual in the Settings and it's quite comprehensive. Try checking that out if you find you're having difficulties. I've found it to be a very useful resource. I would definitely recommend this despite its (very minor) shortcomings over pretty much anything else out there including Apple's overpriced tablets.
I purchased Thanksgiving Week 2021 and first problem happened March 2022, the charging port pins broke and wouldn't charge correctly. Luckily I purchased the ALL STATE protection plan and had it sent to get fixed. Month later the battery wouldn't charge at all and I had it sent again to fix it. The day I received it back it looked fine but then the touchscreen was no responding. The power button and volume buttons were working but not the touchscreen at all. I sent it a 4th time to get fixed and returned, the tablet wouldn't even turn on. There was a sudden white flash on the tablet with black ink cracks in the corner then would stay off. It looked internally damaged but the touch screen had no scratches or cracks. It looked internally damaged but the touch screen had no scratches or cracks. I purchased an amazing rubber/impact casing for this tablet since Day 1. This is my 1st terrible experience with SAMSUNG and I am very disappointed in the the repair center as well. They send this summary of checklist when they return the product back but it doesn't look like they actually confirm anything off their list. I sent my tablet once to SAMSUNG to get it repaired since it's been less than 1 yr manufacturing but they gave me a bogus excuse that it has water damage inside. Only reason I say bogus is bc they sent me a detail summary stating they are returning back broken only with no reason at all. I had to call SAMSUNG to figure out why they could not fix it, they placed me on hold for almost 30 minutes to see why nothing was done and claimed it was water damaged. Like I said my table was covered in rubber shock proof casing where only openings is the camera lens and port charger. Terrible service on their part and if they found water damage, they would have written it on the statement in the summary but it seems SAMSUNG knows and may be hiding the fact there a lot of defects for this tablet model and should just own up to it. As I said since I purchased the ALL STATE coverage and after several attempts for them to fix it. They are just refunding me the price I purchased the tablet only. I don't mean to bash Sams Club or Samsung but this has been a bad experience for me. I purchased a few TVs and soundbards from Sams Club, it still works great for years with no coverage. I see that this may be just a bad manufacturing problem for this tablet model type. Definitely purchase warranty coverage for your devices though
I personally am a diehard Samsung fan although I've had nearly every brand at 1 point or another. For me my deciding factor is the freedom to choose what I want to download on my device without limitations as their biggest competitor does with their devices. Also that same freedom guarantees me I can find nearly any feature I can imagine for free. Their biggest competitor... Not so much. If there is no money in it for them you better believe you won't find it available for download. They force every company they allow in their app store to cut them 30% of the companies profits on all sales not just the initial download and if they don't pay up they get the boot. I personally can't stand seeing that level of greed out of any company so I can't respect them which ... MoreI personally am a diehard Samsung fan although I've had nearly every brand at 1 point or another.
