Why are all of your decent tablets so BIG? I want a better version of the A7 Lite, but for decent guts I have to buy something 10+ inches. Even this A8 doesn't seem much of a performance upgrade over the A7 Lite. Still uses a Chipset no one knows the name of. Still uses a subpar GPU. Do they not make the older Qualcomm or Adrenos you used in the Tab S6 (for example)? GSMArena doesn't even say if it uses UFS or the A7 Lite's awful eMMC. The screen to body ratio of this is less than the A7 Lite, why? RAM on low end, but ok. WiFi 6 is becomming the standard with 6e becoming more present but this still on WiFi 5. Make it smaller and more mid-range and not bottom shelf and I'd happily purchase this. Bump the price $50-$100 and it'd still be worth. Selling low end devices that make you want to slam it against a desk because you can only have one thing open at a time is just frustrating. Hate to say it, but Apple and Amazon are winning unless it's a Galaxy Series device. :-(

I use my A8 for light gaming, scheduling, and communication. I can sync up with my Galaxy phone, and answer calls and texts on my Tab A8 while doing things on my Tab. The extra 2 inches in screen size, compared to the smaller Tab A makes a huge difference. I would definitely recommend spending a little extra for the bigger screen, more memory, and new features (phone sync). The Samsung branded book cover case is almost indestructible. I had to buy an off-brand with the last Tab A I purchased, and it didn't hold up, I had to get a new one in 6 months.I'm on my Tab A8 constantly, my average battery time is over 24 hours, and that's with constant gaming. Bought this Tablet for our daughter. We got it when she was 2 yrs old. Yes I know, young! BUT.... we bought this for the long trips we were frequently making, and occasional family outings (because she is the only kid in a family of both sides full with adults & adult children. She gets bored... cries, & I don't blame her, she wants someone to play with her, but the grown-ups sure don't want to.What I LOVE about this, is the Samsung Kids! I can put a time limit on it, I lock it so she can't get out of it, & I have some learning apps. She absolutely loves it. We haven't had any issues with it. We've had it for a year now, (she's now 3) & it's a great product. She uses it once in a while only when these outings happen, & recently on a timed limit during the mornings ... MoreBought this Tablet for our daughter. We got it when she was 2 yrs old. There are times when my wife and i differ on what to watch. I stream movies on some of the more popular spots for Action/Adventure while the wife enjoys mysteries and dramas. I am amazed at the quality of the videos. Was very skeptical what I was getting for this price. Again very pleased. While watching the big screen TV i can do emails vs looking on my samsung phone. The navigation was a breeze on this tablet. When looking at our needs and how we intend to use it i feel confident we made a good choice. The camera is adequate but i will not use this if i wanted more detail.I will more than likely look at adding a bluetooth keypad and mouse which is capable with this tablet. I already added the SDmicro card of 128GB. It came with 64GB internal storage but needs ... MoreThere are times when my wife and i differ on what to watch. Good value for what i need so i ended up buying 2 A8's.
The product has excellent battery performance and is good enough for most users, who are willing to use it for social media.Pros- excellent battery- decent social media experience- SIM expansion up to 1TBCons- device can feel stuttery sometimes- screen colors feel dull when watching media like Netflix- charging speed limits devices practicality when used on the go- will run fast out of storage spaceThe device has pretty decent price for the performance it offers.Noting points- if device stutters less it would be more desirable- storage space could be more-storage
This tablet is great for the average user in every way. The A8 has many things that it gets absolutely right. Then it struggles to do a few things that it trys to do but ends up just not giving the consumer the experience I think they would want. The A8 absolutely hits it out of the park for design, display, sound and quality all for the lower price point. The display is amazing for streaming and scrolling through social media. It's vibrant and very punchy. The sound is great for media of all kinds and it has the benefit of having audio being produced out of multiple speakers. The tablet in the hand just feels like quality and durable compared to previous versions. The tablet in the hand just feels like quality and durable compared to previous versions. Hands down this tablet is the best quality out of the A series in a while.Where this tablet starts to show its struggles is when you use it for any productivity. Multiple apps open task this tablet regardless of their use of the tablet CPU/Memory. Things like office apps and multiple tabs is where this tablet shows it's desire to be more of a streaming and social media usage device. The cameras are good enough for most tablet uses and dona good job at video calls. The biggest downfall of this table is the lack of Spen support. If this tablet had included this simple feature I would have given this 5 stars and had near no complaints.Don't get me wrong this device is great for what it's meant to do and does those things great at this price point.
Horrible PRoduct!!I bought this tab on 29.08.2022 used it for 2 days and I am just fed up with it. I have no clue how it actually got such a rating. Honetly I bought it just because it had high ratings but trust me dont its garbage.Let me list the frustrating cons of this product:1. Ridiculous touch, very unresponsive.2. Search for a setting in the settings search bar and it never finds it (it keeps searching forever).3. Lock the tab then unlock it after few hours and boom everything freezes, side buttons dont work, google assistan dont work until you restart the tab. So basically you need to restart it everytime you leave the tab locked for long.4. Switching from horizontal to vertical display is horrible, it freezes for 2-3 seconds before switching and ... MoreHorrible PRoduct!!I bought this tab on 29.08.2022 used it for 2 days and I am just fed up with it. Honetly, dont buy it because of the low price instead invest more and buy something good to avoid these havocs.

I'm the type of guy who likes my phones and tablets big. Well the A8 IS BIG Alright! It is fast too! The only problem, and not a problem that would discourage me from buying another, is the pen storage. I got a case that locks it in but I still lose it from time to time and the price on those isn't like a normal s-pen in my S ultra devices. The pen does write really well and help navigate the enormous screen easier than that of the phone devices so i do find myself using it all the time, where as, my phones it is just when i need to sign something. It has plenty of internal storage. I haven't really messed with the camera much because my S ultra phone has a really good camera. It would also be a bit cumbersome to take pictures with. I do want to see how it does with photo editing so photoshop will probably be the next thing that I download to run it through its paces. Bottom line, if you can afford it.... buy it. $1200 for a tablet? Yes please take my money. I plan on replacing my other 2 tablets for my kids with this model as well. I mean who likes looking at a tiny screen? The battery life is pretty good. I would give it a 9 out of 10 there. One charge lasts me a couple days. More if I turn the battery saver on. I use it pretty much all the time so that is saying something.
I can't say it's better than I expected as I could not possibly have known much about it before buying it. That said, however: - It came without a stand, which I had been expecting as the Ad showed a picture that implied a stand would be included. I paid quite a few buckaroos to get one on eBay or Amazon - forget which - and at the time of writing it's still several days before it should come, very annoying! - Screen is terrific; maybe not quite as good as an iPad costing MUCH more than I paid (50% of listed price), but still excellent - after all it's not a camera! - Mine has 64MB memory - much more than the usual 32, and an internal 256GB MicroSD card that cost me $40 st Best Buy. This is a very important feature as it now has gobs of storage for documents, movies, etc., instead of the usual tiny amount. NOTE: Before buying this Samsung tablet I (briefly) had a Lenovo, which was virtually useless as its memory is effectively ZERO, whether or not you put a MicroSD can into it !!!!!!!!!! - Not quite as easy to use as my ONEPLUS Nord N10 5G cell-phone, but with time I'm getting used to it.
