Samsung do great TV's and Phones but the tablet that is advertised as strong enough for tough environments could not survive my bath.

This is the second one of these phones I've bought, the first received water damage and I liked it so much that I got it again for the replacement. It's fast, functional and has good features.Unfortunately let down by the camera, which is poor at best.Samsung's OS seems to go through changes and with each revision it has something added that isn't necessarily good.I don't like the fact that I can't figure out how to turn off the charging percentage displayed onscreen whilst the phone is in sleep mode on charge. When I lock the phone I don't want things on the screen and I sure as heck don't want them shining at night when I'm trying to sleep.Give me an option to turn this garbage off. Also, I've dropped the phone a couple of times and although it's in a ... MoreThis is the second one of these phones I've bought, the first received water damage and I liked it so much that I got it again for the replacement. Also, I've dropped the phone a couple of times and although it's in a beefy rubberised case, the screen has now turned dark because a seal has broken allowing moisture in.As other people have reported.I must have dropped my Galaxy SIII about a hundred times, including breaking the screen on multiple models I owned and this never happened, so I'm assuming it's something to do with the digitizer contruction.I will replace the screen one time, but never again if it happens again.

This phone is an excellent option if you are someone that likes to go out running or doing other activities. When it falls down, don't be scared, it may have a scratch on the built-in cover but nothing else. I love this phone. But if you would like to have a phone that is great with performance and display quality with the 120hz, I wouldn't recommend this phone. But like I said if you're an adventurer then this is the phone for you. Thank you Samsung for doing such greath phones.

Its not as bad as they say, the cell works fine if youre banking, surfing and doing other stuff except gaming. I put a 512 Kioxia mSD in it and got plenty of space for saved clips, photos and other media. Samsung keyboard sucks as some reviewers point out, but eg. Gboard with a proper layout works very well. The camera is poor. In broad daylight it works but with less light the photos suck and the focus struggles quickly. The earpiece isnt the loudest but as a work phone you probably prefer a good BT device anyway. It lacks biometrics (fingerpring) but otherwise it is a good rugged cell!
I brought this phone from Samsung 12 months ago. I have had one issue with the USB port not charging but Samsung fixed it and returned it within a week. The phone has lasted well. I am a farmer so it gets bashed about quite a bit. I have bought a extra case for it for added protection which has helped save it the few times its fallen out of my pocket onto concrete. The water proofing works well, you can use it in the rain without the screen freezing, the graphics are good as are the speakers. I am running 2 sim cards and forever dropping in and out of signal, between WIFI signals and on and off blue-tooth but still manage to have 40% battery at the end of the day with moderate use.The only down side is the lack of wireless charging and the fact that Samsung don't ... MoreI brought this phone from Samsung 12 months ago. Disappointing on so many levels. It's a Telstra Blue Tick phone but loses signals when all around it other phones are working. It has been returned under warranty twice but as the testing it passed confirms, signal strength reception isn't tested. So issues with service as well as denial of being not fit for use. Not sold through Samsung but via 3rd party online stores that then subbed out the sale to another entity. No way to have got a refund when first I realised how poor the phone was: at least this example anyway.Only phone in 26 years of having a mobile that has ever been damaged, dropped from seat height and the main camera is now out of focus.
Bought mine about 18 months ago and it hasn't missed a beat since. Wonderful, compact wee model, durable, easy-to-use and great value for the price. Plenty of on-board memory for everyday purposes at 64Gb. Love the old-school removable battery and dual SIM features; also the fact it's so compact and fits easily in the palm of my hand or pocket, just as a 'mobile' phone should be. There really ought to be more models of this size - I'm not a fan of anything with a screen larger than 5. 5" as the screen becomes too prone to breakage and too bulky to fit comfortably in my pocket (if I wanted a tablet I'd go out and buy one instead). Honestly don't see where the haters are coming from. Best phone I ever owned
I've had trouble with this phone saying that there is moisture in the charging port even when the phone has been bone dry for a week. Due to this I cannot charge my phone unless I turn it off - what a pain. I've taken it into multiple phone repair shops and they have all said that the only thing they can try is to replace the internal charging port, apparently the spares are not readily available for this and they need the phone for a few days. Other than that I'm reasonably happy with the phone - my only complaint is that I wish the speaker was louder/clearer.
The good: grippy, and nice ergonomics with the various programmable buttons The bad: (Google's fault, not Samsung's) - this new Android file permissions / access policy ("Scoped Storage") that does not let me access my own files is pretty horrible; I appreciated it's there for my own security... but that does not change that I am feeling locked out, and have had to come up with time-consuming work-arounds to manage my own content. The ugly: it's only USB version 2.0 - seriously, Samsung? This is just not good enough these days, particularly not for a phone that takes SD cards up to 1 TB!
I switched from apple products to Samsung, frustrated by lack of expandable memory and wireless charging. My bad, I managed to pick the one late model samsung available at the time without in built qi charger. The user experience itself has been unpleasant - I still find the OS counter-intuitive, and the folder system illogical even after about a year. It's just not enjoyable to use.The save and access to memory card process involves so many extra steps I haven't bothered to use the card I added to the phone. What I wasn't expecting and still haven't been able to fix is the infuriating and unpredictable deletion of photos and video! Nothing seems to protect them. I've tried saving them to the memory card, backing up to cloud - nada, they just disappear. It's bad ... MoreI switched from apple products to Samsung, frustrated by lack of expandable memory and wireless charging. Before I have a chance to actually transfer them to my laptop (in anticipation of it doing it)From my google searches, trying to figure out what I'm not doing, I see that this is a common criticism of this model. If I stick with android it won't be with another of this series. On the other hand, the system management tools are really straightforward and useful. This is why this piece of rubbish gets a single star. But otherwise, avoid!
