The tablet would have otherwise been wonderful and perfectly suited my needs and I wouldn't believing such a poor review were it not for the fact that the quality checking for this open box product was insufficient. The screen had non obvious damage that caused it to flicker periodically during use in a way that I would consider unusable. This forced me to have to drive back to Best Buy and try to have it sorted out. The total tech service which I pay $200 a year did not covered the device because it was within the purchase window and a hardware issue and so I was simply forced to return it having a decent tablet at a good value within my grasp but simply having my time wasted instead. The perfectly functional model I had was one of the best tablets I've owned next to the Galaxy Tab 8 ultra.

I love the Samsung 7 Plus .....the pen, the bright screen, the touch of the tablet and the weight, but most important is the 3-function tablet: as a phone (nobody mentions it as you can insert a sim card), a tablet , and a laptop with a keyboard included which can be used for trips, and therefore replace taking three items with you, so really 3-in 1, if I am correct. However because of the tier functionality, if one breaks then the 3 functions are gone. The 7 Plus is extremely sensitive, and it broke after 6 months .....suddenly it would freeze, turn black, and when you put it on, it starts and immediately turns black and keeps on flashing as if wants to re-start but cannot. Took it to the Samsung dealer and he said we will do an update of the s/w and in 24 hours ... MoreI love the Samsung 7 Plus .....the pen, the bright screen, the touch of the tablet and the weight, but most important is the 3-function tablet: as a phone (nobody mentions it as you can insert a sim card), a tablet , and a laptop with a keyboard included which can be used for trips, and therefore replace taking three items with you, so really 3-in 1, if I am correct. I called the CPA and they finally got to fix it ...I asked them what was the fault for the third time and they said the wiring ????? Unfortunately, I lost confidence ....and I am scared of using it and then losing the data ...of course, it is synchronized but not everything .... what is amazing is that I lost everything in terms of data except the hand and penwriting.....it survived. Cannot explain it. I would exchange it for the same if Samsung accepts ...which it should, however, this is a Samsung Egypt dealership and they refused, although in the warranty period. I would not buy ANY Samsung product in Egypt coz the dealership is awful to deal with ,

I got it with the samsung keyboard and I really like it so far. I got one that was open box and I've had it for about a year. Its still very fast and I've really had no issues with it. I'm glad I got the S7+, the screen is nice. I mainly use it for school purposes and this tablet is excellent for notetaking. The pen is extremely nice, user friendly and I really like taking notes with it. Its powerful enough to have excellent handwriting recoginiton so you won't really have any issues with converting from ink to text. Battery life also seems to be very good. I use it for several hours a day so not exactly a heavy user but I could go without charging for maybe 2-3 days. The samsung keyboard is also a very good idea if you think you'll be typing a lot. I have no complaints and as for the trackpad, it works as it should. I never liked using trackpads so I don't have a lot to say about it. The S7+ has overall good performance, screen and battery life. I find it a very flexible tool to use for taking online course and take notes.

I last owned a tablet back in 2014, back when I was in high school, and was being introduced to new ways of taking notes and doing things instead of pen and paper. I remember owning an iPad 2, which served its purpose and started to slow down some years later. It was an awful experience, and I swore to myself I would never purchase a tablet ever again. At the time, I never fully understood the use of having such a giant screen and what I would need a huge "phone" for. That being said, I was thinking about upgrading my laptop for this next semester of college, as my old laptop got rather sluggish. I tried my hardest to avoid searching for a tablet or opening tabs regarding tablets. I really did. Eventually, I gave in and saw this device and saw that there was only one in stock. I said; screw it, and just purchased it. I did not read any of the specifications; I just saw the screen and the sleek design and went for it. I could not be happier. This device runs smoothly and feels great to consume media or browse the internet. This device could fit between a giant phone and a laptop, assuming you buy the $200 keyboard case. Of course, being a student and being careful with expensive products, I also shelled out the cash to get the case. The keyboard feels cheap, but the look of it compliments the tablet nicely. All shortcuts you would expect work on a PC, work on the tablet—two-finger scrolling, three fingers for desktop, etc. The pen feels nice, and it feels like I am writing on some smooth and slippery paper. I have had no issues with it, and the latency is perfection. You will only ever see the latency if you purposely hunt for it by drawing a line very quickly across the screen. Even then, it isn't easy to catch.Having Samsung Dex on this thing completes the package. You can call it a gimmick, but I have felt right at home with it. If only there was a way to include USB ports on this device...but then it would defeat the point of it being thin and light. IF there was one thing I HAD to COMPLAIN about, it would be the RAM size for this specific model. The 128GB model only comes with 6GB of RAM, which is embarrassing considering the price point and how much RAM Samsung likes to throw into their smartphones. You'd need to shell out even more cash and opt for the 256GB version to get 8GB.So, I gave tablets another shot; and I am glad I did. This is one of the best purchases I have made in 2022 and most likely will remain one of the best for the rest of the year. I could have gone for the S8 Ultra, but the screen is far too big for my liking. I like portability and options; the latter does not provide. The S7+ will NEVER replace a proper laptop, but it sure as hell is a lot more comfortable to use! No laptop will grant you the freedom to lay down and watch YouTube videos without the feeling of having an oven on your chest. No laptop with even the best SSD can beat the speed that this device will turn on and be ready to go. Each device has its advantages and disadvantages. But, if you are debating between the S7+ and a laptop, and it fits your workflow, get it. You'll be doing yourself a favor.
I bought this tablet for art - I draw using a keyboard and Clip Studio Paint. My main gripe with this tablet is the pen - the rubber nib wears down very quickly, especially on a matte screen protector, if you're drawing for an extended period of time. I would go through 2-3 nibs in a week. Also, the button doesn't stick out, which makes the pen look sleek but is difficult to find while I'm drawing (My remedy for this was to get a Wacom pen - the pen intended for the Wacom One. It works flawlessly, the nibs are very durable and the button is easy to feel). The magnet on the back is also not very strong nor practical for storing the tablet in my bag, as the pen would fall off and get lost, even with a case on my tablet. The display is super vivid and bright, the ... MoreI bought this tablet for art - I draw using a keyboard and Clip Studio Paint. The magnet on the back is also not very strong nor practical for storing the tablet in my bag, as the pen would fall off and get lost, even with a case on my tablet. The display is super vivid and bright, the colors are rich and this makes it a pleasure to color on.It also barely heats up when I'm drawing for hours, save for a spot on the top right corner of the screen that warms up slightly. The battery will last me a few hours before I'll need to save my work and give the tablet (and my hand) a break and a charge. It's extremely responsive even when battery is at 15% and using several applications at once (pinterest, spotify, drawing program). The speakers are pretty loud and clear although I don't use them very often except for video calls. This tablet is extremely comparable to the Ipad Pro, I got it on Black Friday for $100 off and for that price it's a no brainer for me. I'm super happy with mine.
what i really great for this product is:1) 12.4in screen size is a sweet point. not small and not big. i can easily hold with one hand and read digital magazine like national geographic or astronomy comfortable with almost the same experience as reading the paper based origins. as a book reader, it will also host much better experience comparing to kindle oasis.2) vivid screen colors & brightness (oled screen) with high refreshing rate. it delivers very pleasant netflix & youtube watching experience. it is much better than my previous generation of ipad prod.3)samsung notes and penups apps are simply wonderful under the support of . my kids used penups a lot and i used samsung notes in a daily basis.
I bought this for school and some gaming on the side. I was expecting this to just "do the job" and I must admit that I severely underestimated just how great this device is! This device has a beautiful screen, great sound and awesome battery life among other things. My favorite thing about this device of course is how well Samsing DEX works on this device. When I am juggling numerous assignments while recording and playing videos this feature helps me stay organized by giving me a PC like format to work with. In terms of gaming, im finding most games I play to look great and seem to maintain a stable framework despite some hectic action at times. Definitely would recommend this device.
Honestly, I did not even know about this tablet until I visited my local Best Buy *lol*.After playing around with the demo model, I initially was going to pass, but decided to buy it.Though it cost a pretty penny, I have no regrets. This is a definite upgrade from the Tab S4 I had prior. The difference for me has been night and day. Not that the Tab S4 was not a good product - it was perfoming fine until the day I sold it - but the S7+ blows the S4 out of the water.I've found that on every front, from the screen to processor speed has been improved. It boots up quickly, the screen is vibrant but not to the point of hurting my eyes and I love that it has a fingerprint sensor (my S4 did not). Plus, I feel the S-Pen has also improved, though it is a bummer that ... MoreHonestly, I did not even know about this tablet until I visited my local Best Buy *lol*.After playing around with the demo model, I initially was going to pass, but decided to buy it.Though it cost a pretty penny, I have no regrets. Plus, I feel the S-Pen has also improved, though it is a bummer that the nibs cannot be replaced. However, I found that the feel of the screen helps the pen glide smoother and it does not take much pressure at all to use the pen.The size is quite wide, but this improves the screen real estate and has been a bonus.Battery life is decent. With typical use, I can go about 1 - 1.5 days of use before needing to charge. I do feel the battery life is an improvement over the S4.I almost bought the accompanying keyboard case, but decided to look at other options first due to the price. You can find compatible solutions on eBay (which I almost went with). I finally settled on a highly-recommended combination of a Braecn case and Logitech Logi K380 Bluetooth keyboard because I felt that for my needs, it was better to not have the keyboard and case be one unit. Finally, the screen is so rich and large that I sold my Boox Note Air e-Reader and decided to switch to reading on the tablet instead.
Well, the question becomes, what do you use your device for the most?Right now it comes down to media consumption, I love the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. The bright OLED Screen, great sound and decent specs make this thing a beautiful machine to watch and consume media on.The iPad Pro 12.9' (2019-2020) - just has that 4:3 aspect ratio, not many shows are available to stream let alone view in that aspect anymore. Sure, you can get the nice cropped bars at top and bottom, but who want's to pay for 100% of a device and constantly use 60% of the screen? If you just want to watch media like Netflix, Hulu, Plex, VLC or such, this is a beast.I've watched full BluRay, UHD BluRay, HDR+ Content, they all look beautiful. When you connect to a power outlet, put it on a stand and just fall asleep watching your favorite movies the S7 Plus pulls so far ahead. When you compare the two next to each other, it makes Apples Display look terrible on the iPad Pro 12.9 (2019-2020).After seeing the 2021 iPad Pro review at 1600nit peak brightness and 1000 nit sustained... well, get your sunglasses out. This compared to the 2021 iPad Pro is about to make us all blind.Pros:Color - beautifulSound - Loud AFWeight - Light AFPower - Stays charged through some marathon BluRay StreamingCons:Pricey (799 for a media machine isn't what everyone can afford)Sharp Corners - Dunno why they cut into (not literally) my handsAndroid (Not the OS, just that my favorite application Infuse Pro is an IOS Only App. Plex is Nice, but I LOVE InFuse)Closing: Honestly, pre-iPad Pro 2021 announcement, if I could have the hardware on iOS I would be 100% satisfied. If you're on the fence about a media machine... no doubt the Galaxy Line has always provided a sweet OLED Experience. It's still to be seen if MiniLED is the future or OLED still king.I still will probably pick up the Galaxy Tab S8+ or whatever comes out next. I just don't want to give up that 16:9'ish ratio. It's just too gorgeous.Coming from an Apple Only user (MacBook Pro, Watch, Phone, iPad's) This device was an easy buy for my single purpose of using it to sit on my night stand for me to watch a show to so I didn't have to turn on the TV and blind my partner in the room while she tried to sleep.
