Had to buy this model from the US. I understand the 5G model could have some issues with the cellular bands being different in various countries, but how does the supplied RAM in this model cause affect the availability in Canada? In the end, I needed a portable computer and decided to buy the best model from America. Lost out on the bundle with a Canadian ordered Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as the free Galaxy Buds not offered in US etc. I hope to see more competition from other manufacturers in the future but these items look and sound great. I miss Archos and wish Sharp brought phones to North America but I hope your latest products live up to the hype!BRING BACK EXPANDABLE STORAGE AND A 3.5 AUDIO JACK !Will update this review when it arrives. In April ? LOL

When it first released, it took a long time to get this tablet, but since I arrived it, I must say it has worked almost flawlessly. The flaws are more so software related in some instances and they're third party. Samsung should continue to promote and ensure that when new versions of apps are released that those that especially benefit from a large screen such as for watching movies and drawing are made to work right away on the latest Android version for tablets. In terms of Samsung's own software, there is little to complain about. From split screen features, to S Pen use and the innovative Bixby Routines, pretty much everything works quite well. The screen is right up there where Samsung is in a category of its own with the Super Amoled type display. From split screen features, to S Pen use and the innovative Bixby Routines, pretty much everything works quite well. The screen is right up there where Samsung is in a category of its own with the Super Amoled type display. As a owner of a couple other premium devices from competitors, unless my device needs recharging, pretty much all my media consumption is done on the Tab S8 Ultra.Same when it comes to mobile productivity. Being able to use three apps at once, in addition to having others floating can be very useful. From watching informative videos, taking notes using Samsung Notes and if need be to use the calculator as part of it, it can all be done seemlessly. The SPen is included and is clearly an integral part of the experience. I use it all the time, there are so many uses for it. The nib is perfect for writing and drawing. Interestingly although I use it every day the equivalent of a few pages worth of writing daily, I have not needed to replace the nib. The recharging of the Spen happens so quickly that there has not been a single instance where I was delayed from performing a given action. As a preorder I got the keyboard case and must say it is also right up there with some of the best. It is backlit and comfortable to type with, the keys are deep enough and responsive. The row of extra functions and shortcuts are well thought out. From time to time there are updates to the keyboard improving on an already very good product. Two features that would be interesting to see in the future would be that the keyboard is at an angle on flat surfaces, like in the MS Surface keyboard, which further improves the typing experience given the more natural angle it creates for the wrists, allowing longer use. Finally, an integrated fingerprint scanner with the keyboard would be interesting. The back cover is sturdy and protects well the tablet while ensuring that the SPen is not lost, even though the magnets attaching it to the back of the tablet are quite strong.DEX is an excellent window based environment which Samsung should continue to innnovate with. While I don't use it too often given that the One UI interface provides so many features, further accentuated by the Good Lock apps, it is still quite interesting to have two fully performing environments to work in.After 6 months with this tablet, the performance has continued to be excellent, perhaps the main challenge for Samsung for future iterations is to find new areas to innovate in. Wireless power sharing would be a good feature and wireless charging with a dock at an angle to allow continuous use would be also a valuable feature. Otherwise continuing to work with apps that are seemingly designed only for phones so that they adapt to the screen size and orientation, would also be valuable. And for those wondering, the camera notch is barely noticeable with a screen this size, and software features allow to cover it by adjusting size of images while retaining great viewing aspect ratio.

I always have high hopes with Samsung for it's innovation and so I ordered S8+ tablet even without a second thought. But, letter I watched YouTube videos and comparisons with iPad Pro and came to know that strangely the OLED display on both S8+ and S8 Ultra are inferior to mini led display on iPad Pro 12". Ofcourse S8+ is way less expensive compared to iPad Pro 12" but Ultra is not. This just proves even with not so good technology Apple can give superior quality compared to innovative Samsung technology. First time it proved a OLED display is inferior to Led display and one reason is of just 500 nits of brightness where as Apple has 1000 nits of brightness. Poor application of reflective coating on S8+ and ultra tabs. I was looking for an android machine to replace an old Windows Surface. This is to use for my University Studies and so requires wordprocessing with pdf output and as MS Office is now subscription only I wanted to switch to free alternatives that operate without internet connections. Yes Microsoft and others there are people in the world without continual internet access. The other criteria were Bluetooth for keyboard input, pen, 5G connection for in car use (as passenger of course), fingerprint reader the ability to view downloaded video content.Populating was easy. I simply copied all the apps from my phone and deleted the ones I did not want on the tablet.I find it far easier to use than the MS system, and it appears superior to my wife's iPad. I'll still keep my Microsoft surface laptop - nothing has surpassed that.I had added a case which trebled the weight, and have a gorilla glass screen so it should travel well.
I bought this online at the Samsung Canada Store back on 11 Nov 2022 under a Black Friday Sale...I WANTED a really large screen, I wanted the biggest available/ possible.. I am NOT disappointed.Truly the only thing you have to know ahead of time is that its NOT a hand held model, its a Lap Tablet or Lab Top (Desk Top) Tablet. You can't hold it up forever, its heavy!!! You NEED a desk + a Tablet case, or just a pillow in your lap.Its 726g [ over a pound and a half worth of tablet alone, THEN your case adds more weight on top of thatWeight and unwieldiness aside, my God what a machine. It is a big TV screens worth of enjoyment for all your media consumption. To my experience its not necessarily a gaming machine, or even a NASA mainframe supercomputer. Its a decadent media and 4KHD compatible playback device with EXCELLENT quad speaker ATMOS processed stereo.I forget sometimes that I can simply turn on my Home Theatre for top notch screen and FULL 5.1.4 channel ATMOS playback, but this machine's mobile portability and pleasurable portable performance makes you really lose yourself in the experience...Hours float bye before you realize how mesmerized you had gotten.WORTH EVERY DOLLAR !!!Excellent performance...NOT a light hand held device.Enjoy one before you pass away, life is short :).
My new S8 Ultra with 5G is exceptional.Replaced older Samsung tablet.Added a case and separate keyboard both by Samsung.Setting up has been a breeze. Used the Samsung App to transfer everything across from older tablet. The S8 Ultra is a very versatile and powerful tablet. Combined with a ZFold 4 it is the perfect travel companion when away and needing to do business on the go.I like the security features. And I appreciate Samsung Dex giving dual screen capability. The tablet itself is light to carry and beautifully designed. Printing at home or away is easy with Samsung's Print service. The screen resolution is superb. Works extremely well in all light. Cannot recommend the S8Ultra enough.
I bought this a few months ago, and considered it a great purchase until I realized I couldn't use my standard headphones with it. Because of the usb, I had to buy an additional accessory simply to plug headphones. However, I'm yet to find anadapter that's durable or that simply works. The sound is intermittent and I can't hear a full sentence when listening to music or watching videos. I've gone through 4 adapters already. This simply makes for a very unpleasant user experience, and I've now gone back to watching videos or listening to musiconmy old iPad. Very disappointing.
