Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm, LTE, Mystic Black)

I love this watch. I think I had this since 2021 while my husband was deployed overseas. Battery life lasted for few days. Ita very comfortable that I only take it off if I'm going to shower. One time while I'm letting the dogs out in the yard to potty, my toddler locked me out of the house. Luckily,my phone that was inside the house was connected to my watch. I can't open the door I don't have any keys and gate was locked from the outside so my only choice is to break the window or call 911. Ofcourse I tried the non emergency call using my phone since I can't find any contacts thru my watch. 3 minutes later cops opened the gate for me and unlocked the door for me while my toddler was inside the house busy watching her cocomelon. Beautiful but not so smart

I was excited to buy this watch, but having had it for two weeks I am disappointed by its functionality. The watch looks gorgeous, which is a huge plus for me personally. I have an IPhone so I was glad to hear that the watch is compatible with IOS, because I think the Apple Watch looks very kiddish in comparison compared to the GW3 which looks like a classy real watch. Nonetheless, the GW3 falls way behind in terms of functionality.The ECG, Oxygen (Sp)O2 and stress monitors all don't function in Canada because they have not received approval by Health Canada, while the Apple Watch has received approval for all these features (Samsung has FDA approval for these features in USA, South Korea and other countries). Samsung advertise thousands of apps and watch-faces, but really it's a bunch of low-quality poorly-developed apps and thousands of watch-faces. When I buy a "smart" watch, I expect to have more apps that provide beneficial functionality, because I am not interested in changing watch faces everyday.There are only 10 apps developed by Samsung themselves (Water intake tracker, Calorie tracker, sleep tracker, workout tracker, stop watch, timer, reminders, weather, Spotify), while the caffeine-intake tracker (which I liked and used to track how many cigs I smoke per day lol) was removed when I updated the software. One would expect more app selection as the product matures, not less! On the positive side, the sleep tracker is accurate and very beneficial, same goes for the workout apps (a ton of workouts to select from). Spotify is a nice to have because the 8 GB allows me to download my workout playlist and leave phone at home, but one disappointment is that I cannot listen to Podcasts on the Spotify app, just music.Finally, battery life is not as advertised. If you have the watch face set to always-on (as opposed to the watch face lighting up when you raise your wrist only) with wifi always connected (as opposed to auto-connect when needed only) then you can get through one day with a full charge. Without these two features, I could go a day and a half with a full charge. Considering that I would like to use the sleep tracker and that the watch takes almost 2 hours to fully charge, that's not so great (still better than the apple watch though).I hope this helps you make an informed decision about whether or not you should buy it.

Best bang for your buck!!!

You get what you pay for and this is high quality.I bought this for my fiance with some hesitation because I don't know much about smartwatches for Androids. After reading reviews I went for the plunge. He's either gonna love it or hate it. Happy to say we are STILL engaged to be married and of course, we LOVE the watch. Its classic, very masculine looking and he swears its comfortable. The features are beyond my expectations. He has discovered all the bells and whistles which you would expect from similar technology, but its cherry on top is the bezel. It literally rotates to navigate through software. It's high tech/high quality engineering feature reliable software with unique system controls. Better buy 10 euro no-name brard watch

If you want to buy something that costs a lot and works as a 10 euro no-name brard watch, choose the Samsung Watch 3!!!!One of the reasons I choose this watch was that I already have a Samsung smartphone. So I thought everything would work correctly because they are products of the same brand.What ended up happening?NFS on the watch doesn't work, because on my smartphone with NFS you can't install Samsung Pay, only Google Pay. And google pay doesn't work with the watch.I can't make or receive calls from the watch, because I have dual sim on my phone. Decent, don't trust in water, battery frustrating

It does almost everything it promises. The 3-press SOS is nice but too easy to trigger. Bear in mind that getting the eSim activated is incredibly difficult, most phone companies don't support it yet, and even if they do it's a costly add on, so until eSims are more common I would recommend the normal version. The battery life is 1-2 days, 1 day if you have all the features enabled, 2 days (3 at best) if you turn off almost everything but Bluetooth and the watch face. Speakers are surprisingly powerful for a tiny watch.I used this watch because I decided to take up swimming, and it was supposed to be safe to use in water, which is nice because its difficult to bring your phone with you when you swim. I would recommend a screen protector because dogs/children/clumsiness will most definitely scratch the screen at some point during the watch's lifetime. Overall, I somewhat regret this purchase - I can't use the eSim, the battery is too frusting to constantly charge, and I'm too scared to swim with it anymore. But it does have a nice oxygen tracker that can be very reassuring (or not) during a Covid infection.

My review coming from a Galaxy Watch 46mm after 1.5 years. Prior to smart watches I've worn luxury watches for mainly status symbol reasons but decided to no longer wear them due to smart watches making my life more efficient. So fast forward the Galaxy Watch has served its purpose for me as a 3 full day battery life, alarm clock, text message notification, step counter, time teller gadget. Originally I wanted to get the stainless steel because I was accustom to the original GW. After seeing the GW3 stainless steel version it is not a brushed stainless steel and is more shiny and in my opinion looks cheap and toyish. I opted for the mystic black and thought I wouldn't like it but after a day it grew on me. Feels slightly smaller than original GW and fits my wrist a lot better. Over all I'm choosing to stay with the GW3 due to the amazing well thought out design and will bite the bullet with the battery life. Eventually I will get an updated Samsung Note so I could wireless charge from my phone and not have to carry the watch charger or buy a spare. For those wondering what my watch settings are and my typical usage are... I don't have always on display, brightness is set to 5, display is only wrist activated with 10 seconds, heart rate monitor is manual, and only activates during workouts, I generally do about 15k steps a day, use the alarm for waking up, use the timer daily when cooking and generally get about 15-20 notifications from text messages every hour for work and personal. I hope this helps in your decision as I've made the choice to keep the GW3 after careful consideration. PS I got a silicon band and don't use the leather one. It's cheap feeling and I shower with my watch daily so its a total waste.

I've been wearing this watch for a few years now, and I'm as happy with it today as the day I got it. Functionality has improved over updates since initial release; steadily providing more ease of use, intuitive navigation & practical features. Samsung continues strengthening their watch platform. This was actually a gift. I preferred my cheap analog leather watch, something sturdy to handle rough wear, something I won't cry over breaking; or need to have insurance on. I thought a smart watch was redundant while carrying a smartphone. Then I started using this watch, and Samsung Health... adding music to the mega integrated storage. It charges well with the charger that was provided (does NOT come with the ORIGINAL, Samsung charger), I haven't actually used it yet, but it seems to work well, paired easily with my phone (Note 20 Ultra). Very nice liked old watch better.

Let me say this is a very nice watch and has lots of functions. Will be great for most just not for my use. I had a Zen watch 3 and all of the smart home and apps I used worked flawless. My wife got us these Galaxy watches to go with our Galaxy phones. These are very nice looking and wear great, very stylish and lots of functions. However a couple of my apps that allow me to see my smart camera notifications ( with pictures) do not work for these. My old watch never had issues. I have tried contacting samsung and they have no help to give on a fix. I fired up the old Zen watch and again all my stuff works great. All my notifications come through very fast and with pictures of my home security cameras on the Zen watch. Way too expensive!

I had been saving up for almost a year to get the new Galaxy Watch when it came out and was thrilled when it was finally announced. I had tried out my friends Gear S3 Frontier a few years back and at that time I still preferred having a classy analogue watch to a smart watch. But I finally realized how useful it could be in my now more busy life, so decided it was time to try it out again.First off, the design of the watch itself is just beautiful and I personally prefer the more classy buttons compared to the flatter ones on the prior model. And the reason I passed on the Active2 was because I absolutely wanted the rotating bezel cause it really amps the style and functionality up. This is a smartwatch meant for both active and classy lifestyles, so the strap should have been able to do both - a leather strap does NOT do active, so that was a fail. So with the watch purchase, I also ordered a silicone strap for work and a black titanium strap for formal use (why spend an extra $140 for a titanium version of the Watch3 when you can get just a titanium strap for $30?).The battery life is less than the first Galaxy Watch, so that was a let down. I mean why did Samsung decide to go for a shorter battery life in their next gen watch?? I barely can squeeze 2 days from it, and that's only because I only wear it for ~12 hours at work, and do not wear it at home or when sleeping.The Tizen software is pretty adept and far superior to the Google Wear OS. And today I just got the ECG update for my watch. The watch has plenty of exercise modes, but I've been pretty annoyed with the rep counter modes like jumping jacks - I do sets of 100, but the watch will only count 50 reps. Like what gives? The Heart Rate and SpO2 readings have been close enough to accurate, and I suppose the ECG monitor is decent for the basic tasking of determining whether your heart rhythm is normal sinus or if you're having an A.fib.The number of watch faces is pretty damn awesome, so that is really cool and I switch it up every couple weeks. And you can also use the Facer app to get you access to even more watch faces. I do wish Tizen would get more apps, especially a google maps and a google assistant integration (Samsung really needs to stop pushing Bixby - it really isn't going to happen Sammy, so stop trying to make it happen).Bottom line though is that the watch is wayyy too expensive. I get that they see Apple as their rival, but that doesn't mean they have to match their high prices when they have new beautiful watch. This watch should not be over $400 at the max. Especially when they released it without their whole promised ECG and Blood Pressure monitor features out the box.
