The watch had an empty battery upon opening. I had concerns that it was a dead battery, so after a quick check online, I went to charging it till it reached full. After a watch update, the battery seemed to drain quite quickly. A bit tricky at first, as you need to open the app before each payment (unlike my phone, which just needs to be on), and the watch needs to be at an almost perfect spot, but after some practice, It is working really well.I am also enjoying google assistant on the watch which was tricky to get going (and I thought it was not going to work) but after using some guides online, I was able to get it up and running.I gave this 4 out of 5 stars as the expectation of the watch to be running out of the box was not met. I choose this model as it had the physical bezel and was value for money.+Battery life+Physical Dial+Google Pay+Google Assistant-Initial setup

The LTE feature is completely useless. The watch will overheat after a few minutes on the phone if your signal strength isn't completely full. I'm talking even just one bar lost will cause the problem. Overheating even if it's 40F outside. My watch is updated to the latest software available as of today. If you can't handle variations in phone signals that literally every other LTE product can, that is a product problem, not a signal problem, and poorly attempting to shift the blame instead of addressing the problem is incredibly weak. Calls work just fine when linked to the phone via bluetooth, so if you want a Galaxy watch, do yourself a favor and don't waste money on the LTE version. Or better yet, buy a watch from a company that does not conduct business like this.

I don't have to take my phone out to pay or to answer phone calls. I can still read texts even if I don't have my phone on me. I can easily find my phone if I forgot where I put (not as much of a problem for me, but a game changer nonetheless). The classic has the feel of a traditional watch with the benefits of modern tech. The health tracking is a bonus. The BMI measurement and activity tracking and the integration with daily calorie use are far more useful than "steps" alone. I even don't mind the battery that only lasts a couple days -- I charge it when I am getting ready in the morning or taking a shower and it goes from quickly from about 35% to 80% which is all I use during the day (for those who are concerned about lithium battery longevity, 25% to75% is the ... I only wish the interbeat heart rate variability data was available separately and not just integrated to the stress reading. That measurement was one of best at measuring cardiac heath risk and is now only becoming practical with wearables (although I do worry with all wearables that the surrogate measurements may not always be accurate in some people whether HRV or sleep)

After thorough research, and with admitted partiality to Samsung, I purchased a Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic LTE 46 mm together in September 2022.The phone has lived up to the pedestal I place Samsung on. The watch, however, has not. Even when configured for optimal life and with only essential apps running, I never get more than 16 hours run time with minimal to average use. It is impossible to use the watch for complete and accurate health tracking as it requires a charge too often to allow full 24 hour cycle recording.Additionally, I am quite displeased with the need for the watch and paired phone to use the same wireless carrier, as this unnecessarily restricts carrier choice for the user. In addition, it devalues the watch as an emergency ... In addition, it devalues the watch as an emergency communications means as even 911 cannot be contacted unless the watch has an active wireless plan tied to the active plan on the phone.Otherwise it is a great accessory that has proven both rugged and waterproof during my use thus far. I especially find the rotating bezel useful and wish more cases for the model allowed use of the bezel when in place.

The rotating bezel is a brilliant addition, offering an intuitive and seamless way to navigate through the watch's interface, ensuring that it remains smudge-free on the display.Display:The AMOLED display is nothing short of stunning. Colors are vibrant, and the sharpness is commendable, providing excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. The customizable watch faces allow personalization to match any style or mood, and I found myself switching between faces frequently.Performance:The smartwatch's performance is smooth and responsive, thanks to its powerful internal hardware. Navigating through apps, notifications, and menus is a breeze, and I encountered minimal lag during my usage. The watch handled various tasks, from tracking workouts to receiving messages, with efficiency.Fitness and Health Tracking:For fitness enthusiasts like myself, the Samsung Smart Watch proved to be a valuable companion. Its built-in heart rate monitor, GPS, and accelerometer deliver accurate fitness data, enabling me to track my workouts, heart rate, steps, and distance with precision. The watch offers a diverse range of workout modes catering to various activities, making it a comprehensive fitness companion.Battery Life:While the battery life is generally adequate for a full day of use, I found myself needing to charge the watch nightly, especially when using it extensively for fitness tracking. Depending on individual usage patterns, some users may wish for a more extended battery life, but the watch charges relatively quickly.Software and App Ecosystem:Samsung's Tizen OS provides a user-friendly experience, and the app ecosystem has grown considerably over time, offering a diverse range of apps to enhance the smartwatch's functionality. However, it's worth noting that some apps may be limited compared to those available for other popular smartwatch platforms.Smartphone Integration:Seamless integration with my Samsung smartphone was one of the standout features of this smartwatch. The ability to receive notifications, respond to messages, and control music playback directly from my wrist proved to be immensely convenient, reducing the need to constantly reach for my phone. Conclusion:The Samsung Smart Watch is undeniably a feature-rich and stylish wearable, perfectly suited for those seeking a versatile companion to manage their daily life and fitness activities. With its elegant design, impressive display, and an array of health and fitness tracking features, it has become an integral part of my daily routine. While the battery life and app ecosystem could be improved, the overall experience has been delightful. If you're a Samsung enthusiast or someone in search of a well-rounded smartwatch, the Samsung Smart Watch is a commendable choice.
I was never a fan of smart watches before. I was a tradionalist. I liked the look of traditional watches. It was more than a timepiece-- it was something that also talked about who you were -- a fasion statement. I never decided to to walk because of how many steps I had, etc. I had an early fit bit, but stopped using it after a couple months. Fast forward a decade and WOW. I don't have to take my phone out to pay or to answer phone calls. I can still read texts even if I don't have my phone on me. I can easily find my phone if I forgot where I put (not as much of a problem for me, but a game changer for my wife). The classic has the feel of a traditional watch with the benefits of modern tech. The watch itself is great. It's fast and has many apps. The health tracking works very well, as do the sensors and routines. The watch detects when I fall asleep and with SmartThings and my Galaxy S22 my devices shut off automatically, they also turn on a few minutes after I wake up. Controlling media on my S22 is automatic and always works on the watch. The reasons why I am only giving the watch 3 stars is because of Battery Life and Number Share.I get a day and a half of battery life vs. 2 and a half to 3 days with my original Galaxy Watch. I understand that the sensors require more battery power, but I limit almost everything on the watch in the daytime and my battery still loses roughly 3% an hour.Number Share is abysmal. It does not work! I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps available online, as well as going into my carrier's brick and morter store. Out of all of the troubleshooting steps, I have been able to get the watch to actually use my phone number one time. The entire reason I bought a smart watch was to leave my phone at home on occasion and trust that I will receive my calls and texts as normal. The original Galaxy watch had no issues with this. This problem almost entirely defeats the purpose of having the watch, but the health tracking features make this review go from 1 star to 3.

Once you experience the Galaxy Watch 4, you realize how much you need it, and life feels incomplete without it.Aside from its usefulness, the Galaxy Watch 4 is impressively durable. I've accidentally bumped it against walls, doors, and tables countless times, yet it remains scratch-free both on the bezel and screen. This speaks volumes about its build quality and sturdiness. While the watch's performance is generally smooth, it may experience slight slowdowns or lag when too many apps are open. Additionally, the battery life could be better, but it's manageable since the watch charges quickly between uses. All in all, my experience with the Galaxy Watch 4 has been outstanding. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and durability. I am highly satisfied and will definitely consider upgrading to newer models in the future.

If you want ro know about this watch, there are plenty of written and video reviews, Im not going to tell you anything about the watch you can't find out by doing a bit of searching. My main gripe is that the supplied band is kind of blah, very average silicone band. Minor thing, but for the price, would like something that feels more premium.I got this watch because I love the tactile experience of the mechanical bezel to move amongst apps. It is silky smooth and very gratifying.I am a big fat man, so I appreciate the fitness tracking as I attempt to be less fat, but Im not out there running marathons so I can't really comment on those features. Things like the stress gauge and body composition seem pretty gimmicky, but the sleep tracking made me realize I need to get treatment for apnea so that was a good nudge for my health and maybe justifies the purchase altogether.I also wish, as the title implies, that it was a bit more visually interesting. Granted I did get the black version, but I wish it looked as good as what an analog watch at this price might look.I've worn this in the shower a number of times and it has not had any issues. I would not have any reservations wearing it while swimming.
